Chapter 6- Baron of Greed

[ It seems that Raphael and Nicolas have already met so it's means that I have to attend his birthday celebration next week as his friend]

Baron Nicolas Hendrickson is the 8th son of a baron in the other country side of our kingdom, it is also said in the game that he always been close to Raphael since Childhood and at the age of 13th both of them go to the same class. Him and the Heroine Charlotte have about 3 years age difference and he also good with swords.

I get over it and continued to check the report of the taxes.

[ It's seems that there are some corruption happening here and I need to check it myself from Baron Florentia.]

I got up from my seat and call Selena to join me outside the mansion. After a while who arrive at Baron Florentia Manor.

-Knock Knock-

"Who is it now?" Said by one of the man who could be one of his butler as he opened the door.

"Y-Young Master Raphael!" said with a surprise by the butler as he was afraid of me going there.

"I need to talk to Baron Florentia" I said as I looked at him with a cold gaze.

"A-as you w-wish My Lord!" He said as he let us in and called Baron Florentia.

"Young Master are you sure going here was a right choices? and besides your only nine years old couldn't you just let the Duke handle this matter?" She said as she looked at me with a worried expression.

"No I can't, I need to handle this matter by myself besides Father trusted me to take care of all the affairs of this Kingdom so I don't want to disapoint him" I said as we wait for Baron Florentia to arrive.

A few minutes later Baron Florentia arrives as I only looked at him with a serious face. He invited me to his office as I told Selena to wait for me in the living room. We head inside his office and we sit in one of his seats.

"What brings you here My Lord" Baron Florentia said by as he looked at me with a smile.

Baron Florentia or Baron Thomas Florentia is a greedy and sly man, out all of the people here he is the only man who can trick and outsmart the Duke. I also heard from someone who unlock some of the backstory of Angeline that he is the one who talk trash about my sister even if she is infront of him and he also talk trashed to Raphael behind his back.

As I was remember that. My heart was full of anger as I'm thinking that would kill this guy right now.

"I'm here because of your report of all the taxes that you said that you collected this month" I said as I still looked at him with cold eyes.

"So what's seems to be the problem here My Lord" He said with a cunning face.

"I heard that you said that the citizens here are only paying once a month but I interview a lot of citizens here that they are paying you once a week" I said coldly as Baron Florentia tremble with fear.

"N-No that's not true My Lord they seems to be lying to you!" He said and I don't believe with his lie.

"Are you saying that I'm wrong Baron Florentia?" I said

"No-no I d-don't mean to say it that way My Lo-" I cut him of as I know that he will say some excuses.

"As I said Baron Florentia, It is said that you only collected 200,000 gold coins per month, am i wrong?" I asked

"T-that's right My Lord" He said as he think that he can outsmart me with this one.

"But when I calculated base of the interview I got, it's far more little to what should the total of the taxes you collected" I looked at him as I continued.

"The total amount should be 18,000,000 gold coins but you only reported 200,000 gold coins, what happened to the remaining 17,800,000 gold coins Baron Florentia?" I said as I look at him with a cold and serious gaze.

"Uum- I don't know what are you talking about M-my L-ord" He said as the angered in my heart grow stronger.

I lost control and took one of the swords in his collection and I point it directly at him, he looked at me with full of fear as I only look at him with disgust.

"Lie to me again and I'll slice your head off" I said

"Y-you can't do that, It's illegal to kill someone and you know that" He said proudly.

"Do I really care Baron Florentia?" I said with a evil grin.

"Even though it's illegal I can turn around the case and use my title as the Duke son beside you already broke many law like talking trash behind the Duke son, Corrupting the finances of the Kingdom, and I also heard that you own a business without the permission of the King himself and I can also kill you here as a punishment for all your crime" I continued as Baron Florentia trembled with fear.

[ Heh- How's that being beaten to dust by a nine years old? Hahaha]

"Please beg me mercy My Lord, I-I'll bring the full money to you, I s-swear" He said with full of fear.

"Ok" I said as I put the sword down.

"T-thank u My Lord" He said with full of relief.

"Just Kidding!" I said as I cut of one of his fingers.

"Hrggh ahhh!" Baron Florentia shouted in pain and agony.

"Baron Florentia" I said with of grin as he look at me with hand bleeding and him being in pain.

"This is a warning, if you didn't bring me the money or If you ever said this event to anyone, I'll come for your head next" I said then continued

"Very well then Baron Florentia I better get going now and I supposed that you'll do our agreement" I said as went back to being cheerfully as I leave leaving Baron Florentia in fear.
