Chapter 6

Two years have passed since I came here, I'm now currently 15 years old and Lian is 14. A life living as Iris isn't that bad at all.

It's wonderful, amazing, splendid, fabulous and priceless.

Delicious foods, splinded desserts. A beautiful big mansion, a beautiful appearance. Fancy clothes, shoes, a life with nothing to do, no dishes to wash, no clothes to wash, no chores to do.

A life as a noble lady, as a wealthy counts daughter is really nice. Specially the endless amount of money.

"Hahaha!" I laughed out really loud.

I'm laying on my bed while reading some novels inside my big fancy room.

"Hahaha!"

I'm not laughing because of the book I was reading but my thoughts of living my luxurious new life.

"My lady, does those fantasy novels really that funny?" Jenny who was standing besides my bed, asked.

"Did I laugh?" I asked, but not sarcastically.

Her palm was on her face as I asked.

"Yes, my lady!" she answered.

"My lady, may I come in?"

"Jenny, open the door." I ordered Jenny, she bow and walk to the door and opened it.

Creak.

The door opened and a maid was standing there.

"My lady, the lord have asked for you." she said

I sit on my bed and look at her.

"The count?" I asked

' What does he want? '

I stand up, "Where is he?" I asked her.

"The lord is in his office, my lady." she answered.

"Is that so.... " I whisper.

" ... Then, I'll go. " I said.

I can feel the both of them staring at me.

"What?" I curiously asked.

Jenny's palm was on her face, again. " My lady, your clothes..." she said.

I look down. I'm still on my night dress, I haven't even taken a bath.

"Ohh...?"

= An hour later =

"My lady your so gorgeous!" Jenny complement while covering her mouth, with matching teary-eyes.

' I'm born with beauty. '

"Oh my, you looked so wonderful!" the other maid said.

' I know but, thanks anyway. '

"My lady would look great in any dresses." Jenny said.

' Yes, that's the truth. '

I'm wearing a white and yellow off shoulder dress.

"Ehh...? Your flattering me too much..."

"The count is probably waiting for me, so, we should go now." I said, the three of us walk outside and went to the count's office.

' What could it be? '

' It couldn't possibly be that he knew that I'm not his real daughter, Right..?'

"Hmmm... What could it be?"

I look in front and saw old William coming out from the counts office.

"Old William!"

"My lady, your here."

"My lord, the lady is here." old William shouted, the door of the office isn't fully closed yet so he can sure here it.

"Let her in."

Creak.

He push the door and it is fully opened. " Please come in, my lady." he said and slightly bows.

"Okay!"

I entered the counts office alone.

I saw old William close the door after he bows.

I turned around and saw a girl wearing a maids uniform, she was standing next to the counts desk.

"Iris."

My gaze went to the count who was sitting on his chair.

His brown hair was glittering because of the sunlight coming from the big window behind him.

"Iris." he called out my name.

"Yes, count." I replied.

"Hmm..." he sigh.

"This is ," he said while pointing to the girl who was standing next to his desk. " Thi is Luna Torrel. "

"Nice to meet you, my lady. I'm Luna Torrel."

Short straight light gray hair, her lime colored eyes. Luna Torrel from the fallen house of Torrel, she was raised as an assassin from the dark guild " Ravens ".

What is she doing here?

Why is she her?

"Iris, she will be your personal maid."

I'm shocked, I'm really surprised Luna Torrel will be my personal maid?

"W-what? Personal maid?"

"Why? I still have Jenny as my personal maid?" I shouted.

"Didn't you know?" the count asked.

"Know what?" I asked while frowning.

"Hmm..." he sigh.

"Jenny already have fiancé, she is in the right age for merriage. Tomorrow, next day she might get married, so I hired you a new personal maid." the count explain.

In the original story, Luna Torrel was Lian's personal maid. To protect her from any harm was Luna's main job.

"Hmm... Okay then, I'll be glad to accept her as my new personal maid." I said and smiled to them.

"Then it's settled."

'I'll be sure to make good use of you, Luna Torrel.'

"Ahh! It's so boring! "

Bright blue sky, sounds of birds chirping, the smell of fresh flowers brought by the wind to my room. Here I am inside my room by the window staring outside.

"Ahh! I want to go outside!"

It's been a week since Luna became my new personal maid, Jenny is still my personal maid, I have two of them now.

I walk to the tarrace and saw Lian at the garden watering the plants.

She cut her hair short, her blonde straight hair look so beautiful, her golden jewel like eyes were glittering as the sun light reflected on it, what a beautiful girl.

"Sister!" she shouted while smiling and waving at me, I wave back and smiled back at her.

"My lady, your tea is here." I look back and saw Luna entering my room.

"Luna, come with me!" I shouted and pulled her outside with me.

"My lady, why are you running?" Granny Jen asked.

"Good morning, granny!" I greet her, with out stopping.

"My lady...?" old William uttered. I smiled at him, he opened the door of the counts office and I run toward inside with Luna.

"Iris...? Why are you here?" the count asked while frowning.

"I want to go to the capital!" I shouted. He looked at me and sigh.

"Okay! But, bring three knight along with Jenny and Luna." he said.

"Should I also bring old William, granny Jen, should I bring Lian and you to?" I sarcastic asked and he frowned.

"Hmm..." he sigh, "Then one knights along with Luna, Iris? " he added.

"Okay!"

"Luna!" he called out Luna's name, I look at Luna who bows "Yes, my lord!" Luna replied.

I frowned as I can't understand them. I look at the counts who was looking at something.

"Iris, here take this!" he said, I walk towards his desk and he hand out a ring, I accepted it.

"What is this for?" I asked while staring at the ring with a red small jewelry on it.

"Put it on your finger he said." he said.

The ring was a bit bigger but I still do what he said. As I put the ring on my finger, the ring's size suddenly adjust and it fit perfectly on my fingers.

"Woah! What is this? A magical ring?" I asked and he sigh.

"That ring is an ancient artifact, it belongs to your mother." he said, I flinched.

"Then, why are you giving this to me?" I asked. I took the ring and hand it to him.

"You should give me money instead, why are you giving me something important. " I murmured and he sigh again.

"Erina. She told me to give that ring to our daughter, so accept it. That ring allows the person who wore it to used magic. " he said.

'She wanted her their daughter to wore it, but I'm not your daughter!'

"Hmm.." I sigh.

"W-what? Magic? " I asked.

"Yes." he answered. I smiled and took the ring and put it to my finger.

"Teleportation and water attribute." he said.

"Thank you, then we'll leave." I turned around and walk to the door. Luna walk first and open the door.

"Iris." I turned around and looked at the count.

"Take a good care of that ring." he said, I smiled at him.

"I will." I replied.

The carriage door suddenly opened and a man wearing a hood was outside standing. He is a knight from the Claester's County, his mane is Raynold Brown from a Baron family.

"My lady." Raynold greeted Iris, the knight sticks out his hand. Iris accepted his hand and went down from the carriage.

"Ahh! What a lovely day!" Iris said and smiled while looking around.

She was wearing a hood that covers her head and dressed.

"My lady, please be careful!" Luna who was also wearing a brown hood, said.

"Don't worry about me." Iris said and smiled at her.

"My lady, where should we go first?" Raynold asked Iris.

"Let's go to the information guild." Iris said, Luna and Raynold frowned by Iris words.

"My lady, why are you going there?" Luna asked.

"Let's go!" Iris said while grinning.

"But, my lady." the both of the shouted, Iris who was already walking ahead didn't look back at them.

Raynold gaze at Luna and Luna did the same thing, the both nodded and run toward Iris.
