Path

I found myself strolling down the barely lit path. Rocks jutted haphazardly from beneath various roots and fallen branches. Each step deliberate. I knew not where I was headed, only the melody. It's soft strumming pulling me to the darkest, deepest parts. I'm fully blinded. But, I found solace in the shadows. The path continued to curve and twist, rise and fall. Despair found me. I felt a million miles from the light. So far from familiar moments. I've just begun or have I? The melody changed. It became louder, stronger. I felt a stronger pull. A deeper sound guided me showing a glimpse of peace wrapped in the moonlight.
