The Two Sister's Destiny

It's been 8 days since I took care of my first case or more accurately the unexpected case. Anti-Libra, who's aim is to destroy Libra, might be plotting something else besides destroying Libra. They tried to kill Chloe for some reason and they have Chloe's sister as hostage. But when I reported it to Libra (while hiding what Chloe did), they seemed to know about Anti-Libra because one report related to Anti-Libra came from the guild. It was reported by a guild member named Voila that Anti-Libra is trying to revive the Ancient Demon Regal. According to the report Anti-Libra may take much time in reviving the Ancient Demon. I don't really care if the report is 100% real or not, maybe there might be something they are hiding. Thinking about that won't do anything at all since making assumptions will only comfort you but cannot give the answer.

I had already solved so many cases that came up in 8 days and Chloe was helpful for me very much. Not only her powers are incredible but her overall ability is quite above average. She has conversation skills that atleast surpasses mine, she is caring and helpful and people liked her personality. Right now we just defeated the monster that was rampaging in the forests, guild members were not available so we took that request. There is a benefit where you can earn extra income if you take on requests from guild and solve them. While on the way back Chloe asked me a question...

"By the way Orion, how come you are so strong and have so much knowledge? You easily solved most of the cases by yourself."

"I don't think so..."

"Ah, you are being modest now haha..but it's amazing that you are one of the exceptional people." She said.

I don't know how I'm "exceptional". I don't know about many things in this world, that's right you can't get all the knowledge of this world-Universe no matter what. But it seemed like Chloe thought I m one of the exceptional one.

"Say, why don't you reveal your skills and that way people may get the good impression on you and you will stand out. That's amazing isn't it?" She asked even though she knew the answer I m gonna give.

"I don't want to stand out, I want to live peacefully without getting noticed by anyone." I answered.

"I knew you will say that but... nevermind it seems you won't change your mind huh? Hehe."

I was wondering for a while, why she didn't revealed me?

"Why did you not revealed me? if you wanted to reveal me you could have done that by reporting it but you didn't." I asked her out of curiosity.

"Because we are friends now right? If you think it's troubling then I should not do such things." she replied.

It's good she hide it, but it could backfire so I should be careful...but still If she change her mind immediately and report it then I can't do anything about it. Still I somehow find her words geniune. She always smile however I know she is still concerned about her sister, her smile is half genuine and half false. She told me about her own past.

Her parents were from different Kingdoms, her mother was from this country and her father was from Spade Kingdom but still her parents married each other because their love for each other was truly pure and genuine.

They lived together in Rednaught city, Chloe was not from Hage as she told me before. However the former Libra leader was not fond of other countries and so when they found that Chloe's father was from different country and hiding with his family to avoid Libra somewhere and planning to go to Kingdom spade, the Libra started searching for them and they caught them.

Her parents were slaughtered in front of both Chloe and her sister, they even tried to kill Chloe and her sister because they were also born from their parents. Somehow Chloe and her sister escaped and they changed their names and identity so no one will doubt them. Chloe's original name was Lina. After few years Chloe's sister was kidnapped by Anti-Libra. Now she wants her sister back while also aiming to destroy Anti-Libra with me. Since Anti-Libra is aiming to destroy Libra for whatever reason, Libra officially announced that they will not sit quietly and aim for the destruction of Anti-Libra. This is the common job among Libra members (Arbiters and other official members of Libra) now.

Its a pity that she faced harsh things in her life but, Unfortunately for her, she will have to face harsh things again in a different way....

It seems like we reached the Libra headquarters. We Arbiters are usually called once a week or month to make a report what we did. But this time it seems like we were gathered here for some other reason because we just reported yesterday and now they still called us here.

"What do you think we are called here for, Orion?" Chloe asked.

"Maybe it's some kind of important announcement that is going to be revealed..." I replied.

"Is that so? I wonder what it will be about?"

It seems Jystice is not here yet.

"Um, Orion can we talk for a bit since Sir Jystice is not here?"

It looked like she wanted to talk about something.

"Sure what is it?"

"Umm, not here can we go somewhere that doesn't stand out?"

She wanted to keep this conversation private?

"Understood let's go..." I agreed

We went to the storehouse that was not standing out too much..

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"....Y-you already know that Anti-Libra know about me right?"

"Yeah and?"

"Well you see.....if.... Anti-Libra wouldn't really care about my presence but....what if Anti-Libra reveal that I was working with them...I honestly don't know what will happen...." she looked upset when she said.

So she was concerned about this. It will surely be a fatal blow to her and will be hard for her to be hidden anymore if Anti-Libra reveal her identity as the person who helped Anti-Libra group.

"Don't worry about it. There is a 99% chance that Anti-Libra won't reveal you because you are useless to them. They tried to kill you even though your overall skills are good, that means they will just simply ignore you. Besides even if you get revealed because of that 1% chance, I have still arranged some settings to save you." I replied

That's right she can be saved if that situation come up but I hope that situation never come up because even If she will be forgiven, she will still face resentment from some people. That's why it will be better for her to hide her crimes and forget it while making up for her crimes.

"R-really!? Are you saying I can be saved? W-why didn't you told me before?"

"I was going to tell you so...."

"I see...thank you...I trust you."

She still seemed to be troubled.

"You are thinking what will happen if Anti-Libra ask for your help by taking advantage of your weak point that is your own sister, right?"

".....Yeah.....I don't want to help Anti-Libra again.....I don't want to do help them and hurt people again...but..."

Anti-Libra took advantage of her because she has great magic strength. If they wanted to discard such useful tool then it simply means Chloe became useless for some reason. Chloe was concerned about her sister and she wanted to take her sister back. But Anti-Libra can take advantage of Chloe again If they find a new opportunity.

"Believe in me, I won't let them use you anymore."

"..!?"

She looked surprised.It was possible Anti-Libra may have already killed her sister and Chloe must have realised that. It's because they wanted to use Chloe by using her sister but Chloe became inefficient so it's possible they have already killed her sister.... however both Chloe and me believed that they didn't killed Chloe's sister. On the day when we defeated Raven, Chloe told me about her past and also about her sister. Her sister was way more stronger than Chloe. They might have been using Chloe's sister to contribute to Anti-Libra.

Thats why maybe Chloe may have became useless and Anti-Libra considered discarding Chloe since they didn't wanted to let Chloe unite with her sister so they don't make a plan together to escape or do something suspicious activities.....but there was more to it... Chloe told me that her sister Isabelle had personality disorder.....she had two kinds of personality since her parents died.

One personality is her own real self and other one was a monster within her...this monster type personality wanted revenge against Libra so badly that it was also ready to kill her own sister Chloe...It was the hunger of a new born personality to destroy Libra. So we thought about it and considered a possibility that Isabelle is helping Anti-Libra.

"You do understand what I meant, right? There is the high chance that Anti-Libra will not take advantage of you and besides even if they try, this plan is still half baked because this is just a simple threat that could backfire."

"I- I understand....thank you....I feel a little relieved to hear it....but I was wondering what is it that you will do when I somehow get revealed? You said you have plans?"

"I don't intend to tell that besides we should get going and see if Jystice came or not."

"That's not fair you don't want to tell me!? But nevermind I still believe you Orion....okay let's go."

She wanted to know but she gave up and started going with me to the hall. In the hall, I didn't see Jystice.

"He is still not here...." I muttered

Well he was not actually late. Suddenly a figure came out. It was Jystic himself.

"I apologise for suddenly calling all of you here but this is an emergency....." said Jystice.

He said "emergency" so it means something happened or maybe going to happen.

"There was one of our spies who saw a bunch of people making their way to Hage village to attack and they also confirmed that this group is from Anti-Libra."

"What!?"

Reina was surprised to hear, it's obvious to be surprised because she is from Hage Village.

"This attack on the village can happen anytime and also they don't seem to hide their presence since they didn't killed our spies...they threatened the spies and gave message that Libra should send all their arbiters to the village so they die."

"How dare them for challenging Libra like that!" said one of the Arbiters.

"Guild members are stationed there especially from S Rank since almost all Arbiters are on the level of S Rank guild members and they plan to fight Anti-Libra group. However, We decided to send some Arbiters for aid since there are many guild members who are currently busy or, not able to participate because they are tired or injured because of their tasks."

So Anti-Libra showed their intentions without any hesitation and it seems like many S ranked guild members might not participate and furthermore their are arbiters who are also busy with dealing many criminals or other cases that may be unavoidable so there were not many Arbiters here.

"According to the report I got it seemed like you Arbiters were free or just did your tasks so I order all Arbiters present here to go to the Hage Village and aid guild members since there are not many S ranked members available there and besides it is a problem that Libra must face it. If you somehow capture someone from Anti-Libra that might give us Information then everyone, who participated, will get extra rewards from us."

By "problem" he meant Anti-Libra.

"I hope you all do your best to protect the Village. Your ranks might sky-rocket depending on your performance and you should all hurry up now because they might be near the village. Make sure everyone are safe in the village because that's our top priority. Now dismissed!"

The meeting was over and we headed for Hage Village.

"Hey you! Can I ask you something, if you don't mind?"

While we were making our way to the Village, a certain someone called us from behind. Apparently that was Reina.

"Um, what is it Reina?" Chloe asked gently.

"Actually, can I join your group for a while?"

"Huh?"

"You know, my assistant is not with me today because he is busy in another job due to the orders he got."

"Orders? So you mean your assistant is not with you today?"

"Yeah and you see I was thinking I should join up with you guys and work together since we are doing the same task."

"I see! Yes you are welcome, this way we could help each other and take on Anti-Libra. We will also get opportunity to know each other."

"Right!"

Apparently they planned to team up.

"Um, Orion...." Chloe wanted to know my answer.

"I m fine with it, besides you already decided it on your own.....so..."

She looked apologetic but she seemed to chuckled a little bit.

We reached the Village but it seemed like the village was already under attack by Anti-Libra. The village was on fire and I saw lower ranked guild members were helping villagers get out of the village. Jystice planned to evacuate all villagers before Anti-Libra came but not all villagers were evacuated because of the little time they had to prepare, not to mention guild members were also short handed so it was difficult to evacuate in time.

"This is bad! We need to hurry up!" said Reina.

"Yeah let's go and help those who need our help while keeping eye on the enemies!" replied Chloe.

We went inside the village. There were many people fighting each other, they were either Anti-Libra members or guild members and Arbiters. Chloe healed so many injured people while Reina and me, were defending the villagers from Anti-Libra members. We were doing this repeatedly and other Arbiters were also doing the same thing. After a few minutes we evacuated all villagers outside Village. Then lower ranked guild members and one Arbiter took villagers with them and headed for nearby city. Even if there was one Arbiter with them I think it was still fine.

"That's it I don't think anyone from Village is left, now we can focus on our fight against Anti-Libra." said one of the Arbiter.

"Yeah let's go and beat those bastards!" replied guild member.

They went straight for the village again.

"We should also go now!" said Chloe.

"Yeah I agree!" replied Reina.

We went inside and we saw there were many battles fought that looked fierce. We also fought with so many members of Anti-Libra and defeated them.

"Heh, you seem to handle yourself pretty well in one-on-one." Reina seemed amused.

"I don't know what you mean but I think I m just like others...besides normally Arbiters are strong." I replied to her.

"Hmmm, is that so?" She looked like she didn't seemed to believe me but she gave up on that.

I should probably hide my strength even more but that might backfire if they get suspicious that I'm intentionally lowering my ability more than what it was before.

"Just kidding, No offence."

Apparently she looked like she was joking. I don't know why but it should be the situation where you usually need to be serious.

"Hm? What happened why are you staring at me!?" she was blushing for some reason.

"Nothing, I apologise if that was disrespectful. But can I ask a question? Why do you seem to be calmed?"

"Well aren't you also acting like me?"

Well It was true but I simply can't express my emotions even if tried to...

"Don't look at me like that....I m really serious about it but you know, when you feel stress or feel like you are losing your mind or something, you can relax a bit. It is important basic rule. Even in battles if we see opportunity and think it's safe then we should relax a bit."

That's right, your body and mind can work properly if you recharge your body even for a minute. Even if it's for 5 or 1 minute, your body will quickly regain energy.

"I understand I apologise for my misunderstanding."

"N-no no it's fine, I know this is emergency....so.... anyway let's go Chloe and Orion."

"Yes." replied Chloe.

We went to the center of this Village. There we saw a crowd...

"So you are finally here, huh? Didn't you learned your lesson yet Zephyros?"

"Shut up! You will pay for what you have done to me before."

It seems like there is going to be a fight here and that guy's name is Zephyros according what I just heard. So he is one of the Anti-Libra, I can sense his magical powers. He might be the one leading this group maybe.

"That's Voila isn't?

"Reina? Do you know her?"

"Yeah she is the one who reported about Anti-Libra and I was just around her somehow so I know she is Voila."

"Oh I see." replied Chloe.

So she is Voila, huh? There was another person beside her.

"Do you know that guy over there beside Voila?" I asked Reina.

"No i saw him for first time."

"N-no way Isabelle!! Wha- what is she doing here!?"

Apparently Chloe seemed to saw her sister. Her sister was wearing a red coloured outfit she had blue eyes, her hair was black and short. Chloe's hair is too long. There faces also seemed somehow opposite. Are they really sisters? Well it doesn't matter.

"What are you doing here sis!" asked Chloe

"..."

"I-isabelle?"

"Get lost I don't want to see your face again or else I will kill you.."

"W-what are you talking about!? I m your sis remember? I m here to save you!!"

"...!?"

Isabelle launched an attack using Ice needle towards Chloe but I made it in time and saved her by pushing her aside.

"O-orion...wh-what are you doing sis! Why are you attacking us!!?"

"You are annoying, I guess I should kill you all."

She has lost it now..is it her another personality? Well it seems like she plans to kill us now.

"Hey Isabelle I leave those three to you and I will take care of these two brats here" said Zephyros.

"You don't need to say it... I know what I'm doing."

"Cold as always, huh? Heh anyway let's just have a rematch Voila!"

"....You asked for it now." replied Voila.

..it seemed the other side was ready for the battle.

"Why....sis...?"

"I know that's your sister but get your senses Back CHLOE!!" said Reina

We didn't let Libra know that Chloe was helping Anti-Libra but we let them know that Chloe's sister was helping out Anti-Libra and we requested that if Isabelle is back to our side she will first make up for her crimes and then she will be free... Fortunately Libra, who are strict normally, somehow accepted this request because they understood Chloe's request.Chloe was scolded a little for not telling them but that was the genuine concern for her from Libra. It seemed I was a little wrong on evaluating Libra at the beginning but they are not really cruel as I thought, besides I already knew that Libra will show some concern for those who are really not at fault and Isabelle had personality disorder so Libra didn't showed any criticism.

"H-huh! Reina!..."

"Can't you see? You have to fight her and force her to join us for her own sake and here you are just crying like a baby!"

"Reina....That's right.." she stood up with a determination.

"I will take you back with me Isabelle...!"

"Come and try, but I warn you for this..."

There were three figures who were hiding in shadows... watching this whole scenario. Voila and another guy with her already started fighting with Zephyros.

"Chloe and Reina, can you two handle Isabelle? I will send another Arbiter here in my place but I don't think I could fight right now because of my injuries.."

"What!? How come!? How are you bleeding that much!?" asked Chloe while showing concern

I did that on purpose to hurt myself....I also acted like I was out of magic energy... though I was expressionless but they seemed to believe me.

"Let me help you to get out of here..."said Reina.

"I will be fine, you just help Chloe."

"But!!"

"I will be fine.."

"I won't let you go away Arbiters!!" said Isabelle.

"...argh.. fine just take care of yourself Orion, I will stop her!" said Reina.

"Please take care of yourself...."said Chloe.

"I will..."

I went to the blind spot where those three figures can't see me here....

"Void Regeneration..."

Using this skill I healed myself back...

"Now then..."

I already sent one of the Arbiter to help Chloe and Reina before I used regeneration skill. I saw the battle unfold. Voila was having some trouble because of Zephyros's skills or should I say the power that was emitting from that sword that was helping Zephyros fight Voila on an equal footing. He was able to go back in time, if he sees that Voila's attack is strong then he would immediately use this ability to save himself. I felt that three figures were watching over this whole situation and two of them seemed to maintain a distance from others easily while there was a solo figure who struggled a little bit. I should probably hunt for the lone guy because I don't want to stand out by targeting stronger ones, besides they seemed to be skilled so it would be troublesome for me to chase them and locate correct locations. Furthermore I just wanted to confirm something...

"H-how did you found me!?"

I found the guy who was hiding in shadows...

"I wonder"

"I saw you just now that you were bleeding but you seems to be fine...and what's more you are not normal Arbiter but you won't get anything from me besides if you want information go find them...." He said.

"Find them?"

"I know that you found that there are other two who are watching silently...." He continued.

"I wanted to do that but it will be troublesome to find them...."

If I wanted I would have rushed towards the person who seemed to be leader of this group who was hiding but that was not my main priority right now....

"I just want to confirm something from you...."

"Huh?"

"I believe that you guys revived the Ancient Demon....."

"..!?"

His reaction told me everything....

"No-"

"Don't even try to lie because I already know and besides your reaction just confirmed it 100%."

"Tch...so what?...but it seems like you know about it....I can't simply let you escape now....your grave will be here...!"

He admitted it...

"But how did you knew?"

"How did I know? When I searched through the reports on the same day when both me and Voila reported, I found that Voila was working alone but after she made a report she started working with a guild member name Ryuji. It was strange because according to the report Voila never worked with someone for a long time as a team but she did accepted Ryuji as her teammate. I was having some doubts but then I kept watching over them again and again but then suddenly you appeared and started looking for information on them and you even asked Curie about this....right?

"!?"

"I found that Curie was one of you when I overheard your all conversations yesterday. I was trying to find information on them since the day when Voila made a report..."

"....why did you hide, that Curie is the Imposter?" He asked.

"So that no one will know of my presence...."

"Huh?"

"You will be free from now on Covurt, you will not have to listen to Anti-Libra leader's orders anymore..."
