44 About Ayunda

Roxus stood in front of the fireplace. Her light robe reflected the light from the blazing warm flames. In her left hand, Roxus carried a sharp fireplace spatula.

"Zuansh," she whispered. The black ashes of the fireplace rose into the air. Roxus, who didn't move at all, stared at the collection of ashes converging into a thin, transparent crystal. Her lavender eyes emitted a faint glow, staring at the array of crystals that continued to expand and formed a transparent snake out of glittering crystals.

The snake was three meters long, but its diameter was only as big as Roxus's ankle. Because it is made of thin scale-like tiny crystals, it is almost invisible to the naked eye. As its scales moved smoothly in another direction that did not reflect light, it seemed to disappear without a trace.

The crystal body slowly crept onto Roxus' arm and wrapped around her shoulder gently. "Bell," Roxus whispered. "Your name is Bell," she said.

The snake hissed softly and slithered down from Roxus' shoulder. "You will stay here, watching over everyone in the palace. You will report to me if anything happens," Roxus smiled. "Go," she said.

Bell then melted its crystal scales flat on the floor and moved quickly away from the room, out through the gaps under the door. Roxus could remember the faces of the three people on the training ground that day, watching Ernacht's Awakening. Right now, Roxus had to keep an eye on everything and act if something felt wrong.

Her thoughts were on Amaranth. "I hope Mother will be all right," she whispered.

.

Ernacht comes out of Amaranth's room. They had just finished discussing important matters between the two of them themselves, and as soon as he left, he ran into Lucifer. Without realizing it, Ernacht closed his mouth tightly. Lucifer smiled briefly at the sight.

"Have you realized?" asked Lucifer dryly, with a face that looked like it was smiling but not a smile.

Ernacht is already conscious. He can now enhance his five senses, and he can even hear the sound of tiny insect feet on the wall. Ernacht then saw Lucifer. The shoes looked clean but looked like they just cleaned. Lucifer's body seemed to carry the scent of the night breeze, and Lucifer's body temperature seemed colder than usual.

"Where do you come from, Kakanda, at nights like this?" asked Ernacht.

Lucifer closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He nodded once. "I just went to see a bastard who I would one day kill with my own hands," answered Lucifer.

Ernacht flinched. But he didn't show his reaction. Since he experienced Awakening, his perception of Lucifer has changed. His senses become more sensitive, so he is more aware of Lucifer's actions or hidden expressions. Not only that, but Lucifer's attitude towards him had also changed a little. "Who is this person?"

This time Lucifer did smile. "Dorlen Baztre. Find out about it yourself if you want to know," replied Lucifer.

The man walked past Ernacht, and Ernacht quickly realized Lucifer was walking toward his older sister's room. "Oh," Lucifer looked back at Ernacht. "If you can't control your five senses, you better sleep somewhere else tonight. Your Sister and I will be noisy," said Lucifer flatly, and before he finishes his words, he already turned away.

Ernacht blinked.

He quickly followed Lucifer's footsteps and held his shoulders. Ernacht put on his most innocent expression and asked, "Is there a problem with Ayunda?"

Lucifer raised his eyebrows high. "Nothing. Tonight I want to be alone with her before tomorrow morning we have to say goodbye," replied Lucifer.

"Tomorrow, we have to separate too, Kakanda let's have a drink together," said Ernacht, still with an innocent expression.

Lucifer glared at Ernacht. "We can drink together after you and Roxus come back."

"I have something to ask about becoming a Master. Can Kakanda teach me some tips on controlling aura?" he asked now seriously.

"If you still don't have the confidence to control Aura, you don't need to use it now," Lucifer answered dryly.

"Kakanda, there is some secret I want to tell you, about my true identity," Ernacht became even more solemn.

"I already know about that. You're a dragon, right?" asked Lucifer.

Failed.

Everything failed.

Ernacht's attempts to distract Lucifer all failed miserably.

Lucifer removed Ernacht's hand from his shoulder. "I know you don't want me to touch your Ayunda now, but if I don't touch your Ayunda now, I'll kill someone."

Ernacht's expression changed to one that was awry and half angry. "...but you are not married yet," he said with a face that was much more serious than when he said he wanted to tell a secret earlier.

"Whether we get married or not," Lucifer looked deeply at Ernacht. "In this world, I am her right, and she is my right. Even if we are not married, that fact will not change."

Ernacht raised his eyebrows, then furrowed deeply.

"Marriage bond," Lucifer patted Ernacht on the shoulder gently. "It's not what brought us together," Lucifer's golden iris glowed faintly, but it was enough to make Ernacht flinch. He was a God before he was a Demon. Now even if he became a human, the concept of human norms won't stop him from laying his hands on something he deemed as his right.

Ernacht understands.

"Kakanda, one day you will leave us, right?" he asked.

Ernacht's question took Lucifer by surprise. He did not think Ernacht asked such a thing even though they had just discussed an opposing matter. He just told the boy that he and Roxus were meant for each other, but then, Ernacht realized too quickly that what Lucifer meant was not what he presented. Instead, his guess was almost correct.

Lucifer fell silent. Roxus and Ernacht, siblings who are unrelated by blood but very similar to each other. They just, know.

"Has your Ayunda already told you?" he asked.

Ernacht nodded slowly. "That's not all. Everything about Kakanda feels so far away like it's from a different world," explained Ernacht. "That's why," Ernacht gave Lucifer a deep look. "If you play with Ayunda's life and feeling, this Adinda will not stay silent. Kakanda must not dare to leave Ayunda's side for any instance because this Adinda will chase Kakanda to Heaven and Hell to drag Kakanda back to Ayunda."

Lucifer couldn't help smiling. Somehow, his heart feels happiness. Ernacht's threatening words felt like a guarantee. Seeing the joy on Lucifer's face, Ernacht blinked in confusion. Lucifer stared at him proudly. "Adinda must know that if one day I disappear, it is not from my wish. For I will never want to leave your Ayunda alone, no matter what," Lucifer said sincerely.

Ernacht blushed at this. Lucifer just called him Adinda for the first time.

"You," Lucifer looked at Ernacht meaningfully. "You have the potential, Ernacht. But there's no need to rush. If we hurry, your Ayunda might kill me later," said Lucifer dryly.

Ernacht slowly smiled. He was satisfied.

Lucifer then turned around, feeling that he had succeeded in convincing Ernacht that he could spend time with Roxus tonight.

But Ernacht reached out once again to hold Lucifer's shoulder. "By the way, Kakanda still has to step over my corpse first before he can have intercourse with Ayunda tonight. We know that if Kakanda insists and we fight, maybe forever, Kakanda won't be able to get Ayunda's heart, right?" Ernacht's eyes stared hideously at Lucifer, and a black aura emanated from Ernacht's body.

Lucifer took a deep breath. Slowly, he controlled his aura. He did not take it out hideously and radiantly as Ernacht did, but he spun it within his own body in a fast and wild twist.

Ernacht furrowed his brows. What Lucifer did was terrifying to him. Such a large and abundant aura, compressed within Lucifer's body, swirled through his aura circuits so smoothly and at a very constant pace without the slightest pause. Ernacht's face slowly turned blue with fear, but it was also an annoyance that this man in front of him was still thousands of times stronger than himself.

"Luc," a voice came from the end of the corridor. Roxus walked over to the two of them.

Instantly, the flow of aura swirling within Lucifer's body stopped and disappeared. Ernacht, who realized it immediately, felt amazed. How can humans control an aura like that?

"What are you doing at night like this... in the corridor?" Roxus asked.

Lucifer returned his usual expression and turned to Roxus. "It's oka... ah," Lucifer couldn't close his jaw as he stared at the clothes Roxus was wearing. Roxus stood in the corridor in a thin and charming nightgown.

Ernacht furrowed his brows in displeasure but then sighed. He was about to walk away but previously slapped Lucifer's back hard, who was still stunned to see Roxus. "Kakanda should buy me lunch sometime," he said dryly, once Lucifer realized.

Lucifer's expression shone brightly, with a thin smile full of generosity and charming warm eyes, Lucifer looked at Ernacht with sincerity. "This Kakanda of yours will treat you to the most delicious and expensive food in the capital."

After Ernacht left and Roxus stood near Lucifer, Lucifer's gaze changed. Not a look of love or lust in his eyes towards Roxus, but a cold gaze, almost cruel.

Roxus, who saw him, suddenly flushed red and looked in another direction. "Even though you can enter through my bedroom window, why did you let Ernacht know about this on purpose?"

The cold gaze in Lucifer's eyes changed to a flat gaze. "Your father and mother have agreed to our relationship, even to the relationship behind the bedroom door. As of now, It's only your little brother who does not," said Lucifer and folded his arms across his chest.

"But didn't I tell you I would give it to you as a reward if you could kill Soneillon?" Roxus asked.

Lucifer slowly shook his head. "I will take care of Soneillon without pay. Now, you better give me a gift for something else," explained Lucifer.

Roxus raised her eyebrows.

Another thing?

"Give me a present because I managed to refrain from pulling Dorlen Baztre's neck off his shoulder."
