The Real Deal...

"We aren't actually called 'The Wickets'. That's just a camouflage for the real deal" a stunted, shabby-looking guy said.

" What's the real deal?" She gained courage to ask.

Lisa.Innocent-looking,straight jet black hair, medium height, curvaceous girl. She had it all, one will say. Her smile made people want to smile back at her but at this moment, she was terrified  and all she could do was look at strangers and try to find out more.

She was in an open spaced room where she met most of the members of the infamous group.

                                                                     Flashback...

Unaware of the encounter of so many people she wouldn't have tried to escape but once he spoke, most of them took her in while others gave her nasty glares.

She could hear them muttering with which some were audible "Why does she get a free pass just like that?"

While some were bold enough to confront him "I had to do things to be who I am, to be where I am!!!" But he kept silent and only watched.

" ENOUGH!" After a while of disorder, a voice with that of AUTHORITY came out of nowhere.

Lisa looked towards the direction of the voice and saw... There was another guy with almost equal resemblance to that of the other guy she met. He was thicker, bulkier and bigger. Slowly, he walked down the wooden stair, as silent as the room was, one could hear his heels clacking.

Besides him was a shapely brunette. Green eyes, blonde hair. Although she was tall, she was nothing compared to his height.

They made a perfect match, she thought, forgetting her present situation.

"We all have been through something" his voice echoed throughout the room. He looked straight at Lisa who immediately shivered when she saw his cold stare then she could notice his eyes lower to the scars on her neck "She had to fight for her life after almost being killed by an imposter"

His final words were..." And tonight, she will do likewise but do it right this time" his voice rose like a leader taking his army to war, they followed with a shout.

Her expression was blank. She looked at the guy in astonishment but couldn't do anything and only after some seconds, someone started the conversation.

Presently...

"The real deal are missions we get from the higher ups. Only the leader has seen them" he spoke in details.

She turned to face the first guy she met and saw his lips curve upwards on one side.

"We are the Watchdogs. Some nickname us as Night Walkers"

Her mind, only focused on that guy's words. Funny thing is I have no idea how anyone hear is called. I need to know what he meant and go back home, she thought. "What did he mean by do likewise?" She muttered.

She never realized she was loud enough for someone to hear her and immediately someone replied "Revenge" then continued "The image of you been hurt by someone and finally able to do the same. Isn't it delightful?"

Lisa needed a reason to dodge the question when she found one. She'd look at the direction of the first guy and saw he was leaving the room.

Her eyes followed him till he was no longer visible "Not entirely" she quickly answered and said "Excuse me" then she took her leave.

                    *******

"Did you have to follow?" He was seated and toying with a dagger.

"I couldn't help it. Where are we?" She looked around the little room she was in with a handsome stranger.

"This, is my thinking space"

He didn't seem like the talkative type. So she was the one to ask the questions. "What made you come here?"

"You..."

She could hear her heart thumping louder "If I made the right choice to bring you here. To have not just passed by and watch you bleed to death"

Shocked to think someone will have second thoughts on saving someone " Am grateful truly but..." I couldn't exactly find words to put in "but I am grateful"

"You're grateful but you're grateful" he repeated then looked at her in confusion "God, now I know I made the wrong choice"

She seemed like a fool... And hurt her more to be called a mistake " But I can't kill that guy"

"Not my problem but that's how it starts... You can't but you will, you must" he spoke darkly and his voice became lower and deeper.

"Can't you do something about it!!?" She yelled out of impatience forgetting to consider his facial expression.

"Once decided, it can't be changed"

All along, she thought he was the leader till she wondered when the other guy came "I thought you..."

"You're not the first" he stood up " prepare yourself" he said tossing a bag over to her.

She managed to catch it " what do I do with this?" looking at the bag questionably.

" Open it"

She opened the bag to see all types of daggers and pocket knives. Their appearances said alot about them such as being priceless and carefully made. "To kill that guy!"

"Yes,kill him...then you become part of us or you die" he left the room

" Ah, I forgot to ask his name" she said after a while.
