Chapter 6

I was putting on my blazer looking at myself in the mirror. Today's the day I meet my future wife. That sounds so weird to say. Maybe I should get her something. But what? Flowers? Chocolate? Maybe both? This is so difficult. I was never really a ladies man. I let my status speak for itself. I can honestly say I have never truly been in love with a woman before. At my age that sounds sad now that I think about it. Well this is why I'm doing this right? To be with my soulmate. Soon my dad walked in

"Looking sharp son. Wanting to make a good impression I see" he said

"Yeah well I am meeting my bride to be so I have to look my best"

"That's good. I taught you well"

"Really? I think mom would take most of the credit don't you think?" We both laugh

"Yeah you're mother raised a fine young man. With some help"

"Sure dad sure"

"Now remember to be kind and gentle. Women want to be treated a certain way you know. They like a man who takes charge. Who knows what they want. And that's what you have to show her"

"Okay dad. I will"

"Good. I'll see you tonight"

"Definitely." He patted me on the back and left the room. I checked my watch and saw the time. I better leave before I'm late. Leaving the house my limo driver was already standing at the car door

"Ready sir"

"Yeah but I wanna make a quick stop to buy some things"

"Of course" I got in and he closed the door starting the engine. He then drove off as we headed into town. I guess it's now or never
