She turned around and saw him walking towards the kitchen. Before he leaned down the counter casually talking to her grandmother.

That was her grandmother and this was her house. Why was he even here?!

Catching up just had to be an excuse.

Grace walked towards them and sat on the counter on the opposite side to him.

She side-eyed him and before he could turn to look at her, looked at the back of her grandmother.

"And," Lorelai turned around and side-eyed grace, "this one got fired."

Grace straightened up. What the hell? "Grandma, what the heck?!"

Christian chuckled, pulling up his signature charm. "I heard. What a shocker. They definitely lost a good employee."

"That they did." Lorelai turned around and focused on the sauce. " This Christian, take the wine to the table."
