"There he is," Ben as stink fly said as he saw Phil who was surrounded by the two vulpimancera(wild mutts).

Ben shoots out slime from his four eyes towards the direction of the two aliens.

That stick to the two Vulpimancers. They tried to break it out but were unable to as they are not physically strong enough.

After confirming that the two were unable to break out for a few seconds Ben decided to go and check on Phil.

"Are you okay?" Ben asked as he approach Phil.

"A Lepifopterran?" Phil said as he looked at Stink Fly.

"Phil. Are you okay?" Max said as he and Gwen arrived at the meat plant.

"Yeah. But Max, look. A Lepifopterran." Phil said to Max as he pointed to a stink fly.

"It's fine Phil, he is on our side," Max said to Phil as he approached to help him up.

Max noticed that there are not any injuries from Phil as he help him get up.

Two vulpimencers would give Phil some trouble even if he was in his physical prime. Now his older self was able to hold out without any injuries.

As one gets older he gets wiser and wiser through hardship and experiences but physical abilities tend to decline.

Especially around Max and Phil's ages.

Max's suspicions of Phil have just got even bigger.

And it can be also said the same for Phil.

Phil realized that Max has a few suspicions about him.

So he decided that he was just cornered and not harmed and decided to spill some truth that was mixed with lies to make Max drop his guard.

"Don't worry about me. I am fine. I was trying to stall them out until help arrive instead of engaging with them. And it seems that my plan worked out." Phil said as he got up.

Then he went towards the vulpimancers while holding a strange device.

He then used the device on the two aliens that were still not able to get out of stink fly's slime. They struggled but they were not able to harm Phil as the smile was too sticky.

The two aliens were knocked out after Phil used the strange device on them.

"That takes care of it. Now all we just need to send them back to the null void." Phil said as he used a null-void projector to open a portal to the null void.

As he was carrying out his work Ben transformed back into his human form.

Phil saw that scene even though he was busy destroying the slime to put the two vulpimancera back into the null void since Ben was not particularly trying to hide about the omnitrix it from him anymore.

Around thirty minutes later.

"Max, isn't he your grandson?" Phil asked as he looked at Ben.

"And that means the watch that he was wearing must be the Omnitrix," Phil said to Max.

Max nodded. Thinking at it is already too late to hide something like that from him.

"The stories are true. The Omnitrix does exist." Phil said as he looked at Ben.

"Nice moves out there kid. You might be even better than me at this alien-capturing business." Phil praised Ben.

"Thanks," Ben said as he smiled at Phil.

Gwen immediately noticed Ben's strange behaviour.

She knew that just like Grandpa Max, Ben was also suspicious of Phil so his acting like a defenceless child that liked getting praised was very weird.

"So how does the Omnitrix work? I have only heard about the rumours about it being able to transform the user into different aliens. Does it have drawbacks?" Phil asked Ben.

"Well. Let's go back to your office first. I have a few things that I wanted to talk to a great plumber like you about the Omnitrix." Ben said to Phil.

Ben's behaviour immediately turned 180 from the time he first met Phil so someone smart could immediately notice that this is very sketchy.

And Ben as smart as he is, is not a great actor.

Phil should have already figured out that Ben was trying to trick him but he was not able to.

Not because Phil was stupid. But because he was blinded by his greed. Phil only sees Ben as a child that acted cold before opening up so he is not really suspicious about Ben's change in personality.

"You are right. I will take you guys back to my place so that you could rest. You can tell me about the Omnitrix when we get to my house." Phil said.

"Ben," Max called out to Ben to stop him from revealing the secret of the Omnitrix to Phil but he was stopped by Gwen.

Gwen didn't say anything to Max. But Max immediately noticed what she wanted to say.

That is to trust Ben.
