Luck and magic (6)

"I am really the worst," Gwen said as she sat under the tree shade that was located near a large lake.

She knew that because of her emotional outburst, she took things a little too far.

Max was so good to her acting as a guardian to her father after her real Granpa passed away in an accident.

And she also has never seen her real grandmother but according to her father, she left after saying "I can not live while seeing him leads a better life than me."

She only has the information that her grandma was still alive and that was because of Max.

Max and her father said she is still alive and they would try their best to help her meet Verdona after she reaches a certain age if she still wants to.

"I am such a spoilt brat," Gwen said.

"I have to apologize to Grandpa. Who cares if I am not related to him by blood? He is still my grandpa." Gwen said as she stood up.

But her spirit immediately went down as she remembered what she said to him.

"But what If he doesn't accept my apology? Why should he accept my apology? After all, I am not his....." She said as she started to feel depressed again.

She sat back down and put her face between her knees.

Her stomach started to growl. She was not able to have a proper meal since her lunch was disturbed by the bounty hunters.

Then suddenly an apple from the tree that she was sitting under fell in front of her.

"Huh." She was taken by surprise as she looked at the tree that she was sitting under.

It was shocking because the tree that she was sitting under was not an apple tree.

"Where did this come from?" Gwen asked as she started to look around. Trying to find where the apple might come from.

She immediately gave as her stomach started to growl so she took a bite out of the apple.

In a town not quite far away from the place where Gwen was at.

"F you. Why the hell did you decide to do your business right on my head?" A man with a strange white staff on his head said as he curses at a bird.

He was accompanied by his partner who carrying a bag of apples.

"Honey. Could you stop throwing the apples at the bird? You are wasting our food." The woman said to the man.

The man begrudgingly agreed by nodding his head as they walk away from the bird.

"Gwen. Gwen. Where are you?" Max called out as he tried to look for Gwen.

When he regained his sanity Gwen was already gone.

And unlike Ben who voluntarily attaches a GPS that can be used to track his location anytime, Gwen didn't have one on her as Max didn't think that a situation like this would occur.

And he was not able to contact authorities as such an action might escalate things further.

"Gwen. Where are you? Could you, please answer me? I know we can talk this through." Max yelled out hoping that his voice would reach Gwen.

The voice didn't attract Gwen as she was still a bit far away from Max's location. However, someone else heard about Max's pleas.

"Grandpa. What is happening? And why are you yelling at Gwen to come back." Ben asked Max as he appears in his human form.

"Ben. Good timing. Gwen is missing and I can't find her. Could you use your Omnitrix to help me locate her?" Max said to Ben.

"Sorry Grandpa. It's still recharging" Ben said as he showed the dial of the Omnitrix which was displaying red colour that shows that it was still recharging.

"Then can you help me find Gwen," Max said to Ben. It was not an order. It was a request.

Ben nodded. Although two out of the three bounty hunters are still out there finding Gwen is still the most important thing right now.

If she was considered bait for the Omnitix by the bounty hunters, things might become more complicated.

If Ben has to choose between the omnitix or Max and Gwen he would always choose the latter.

But there is a chance they will be harmed if something goes wrong and you probably can not trust someone that uses a living being as a hostage.

Back at the restaurant.

"Finally. You know you are a real pain in the ass." the black armoured man said as he looked at the purple ninja guy named Sixsix who was lying on the ground, defeated.

The black armour guy blasts Sixsix with a red laser that teleported him away to a faraway planet.

"You traitor. You know how terrifying Vilgax is when someone tries to double-cross him." Crab who was injured heavily by Ben said.

"I know. And I was hoping that he would too." The black armour guy Said as he teleported Crab away from Earth with a red beam.

The mask of the black armour guy was taken off as a face that is similar to Diamondhead appeared. His name was Tetrax Shard and he was a Petrosapien just like Diamondhead.

"The wearer of the Omnitrix is much craftier than I excepted." Tetrax Shard said as he gives off a grin.
