Chapter 17: Galvan Prime’s Fall

Azmuth's hologram continues to speak, "Each one of them had their own motivations for teaming up and attacking me. To begin with, the Cerebrocrustacean wanted to prove that his intellect is superior to mine by killing me since that spells out superiority to him. For Malware it was personal, he still blames me for not fixing him by giving him the Omnitrix and now wants me dead. Finally, Khyber just wanted to receive a completed version of his knockoff Omnitrix called the Nemetrix.

The Nemetrix is a device that allows the user to transform into non-sapient beings which are cataloged in its database. It also has a recharge mode and timeout function. Using the device on an intelligent being causes the wielder to lose his intelligent mind.

So, they ended up teaming up to kill me and steal my inventions. My chances of dying are high as I don't have you to defend me like I hoped you could, but we were both unfortunate here. Instead, I leave you this message Ben Tennyson in case I don't survive this event. I have a way to track Malware that I have now sent to your Omnitrix.

I don't know how much time would've passed by the time you are seeing this message. I just hope that your escape and arrival wouldn't take you too long. I wish you luck in your journey. I know for a fact that you will defeat them and deal with this situation, you always have. Now, for the final time, Goodbye." With a smile, the hologram disappears leaving me to my thoughts.

'This is a lot of information to digest. Let me break it down. First, an alien from the same species as Brainstorm, whose motive is to prove his superiority to Azmuth… Hmmm… Nemetrix, if my guess is correct then, he created this device in an attempt to copy the Omnitrix. He probably thought that he could make a better device than the watch, or at least something to make the Omnitrix look inferior.

Khyber the hunter wields the Nemitrix and probably thinks of me as the ultimate prize similar to how Vilgax viewed the watch. Since he's included in this team then he must have the skills to back him up as they wouldn't just team up with a random hunter. Malware, someone whom I thought was gone, somehow is still alive and has returned, teaming up with the rest to kill Azmuth. I should be his next target though; I assume he's after revenge. Clashing with them would have been inevitable anyway.

Why not attack me yet though? They must still be preparing. Either still working on their device, or they have yet to collect sufficient DNA samples that they want. Maybe they have a plan or are working on something to empower them first before coming after me. Either way, it's better for me to surprise them and confront them first now that I have a way to find Malware. But first, let me see how the destruction happened on this planet.'

I then instantly transform into Clockwork and try to reverse the time in the area to see the events that unfolded. The power that I have isn't enough so, I slam down on the symbol on my chest and transform into Ultimate Clockwork. I then proceed to try doing the same and it works this time.

I watch as Malware first lands on the planet and starts slaughtering the people attacking him. Then he starts going after civilians that are helpless to do anything to stop him. I watch him kill countless innocents before finally finding no one left and going on to the tower. The most prominent thing about this scene is the screams that echo through the village as he enjoys the slaughter.

He approaches the tower which was protected by a barrier, and I expect that Azmuth was recording his message while the forcefield was still holding on. He then finally breaks through the barrier with the help of his partners that joined him while he was trying to break through. They then head into the tower. Malware continues to kill everyone he encounters as the others watch until they reach Azmuth.

Dr. Psychobos then starts talking to Azmuth and laughing as he seemingly gloats to him. He then sends a neuroelectric shockwave toward Azmuth which immobilizes him using his electrokinesis. Khyber then approaches Azmuth and threatens him but seemingly to no avail, Finally, Malware stands before Azmuth and gives him what looks like a look of pity before finally killing him.

The Cerebrocrustacean then goes around the lab taking whatever he can find before they all exit the planet into a spaceship, leaving behind a world stripped of its people, everyone just dead. Just like that, the spaceship then flies away and disappears into space.

I stop using my powers and I transform back into my human form. 'Well, I didn't learn anything new about their powers but… I now know what happened…' I walk up to Azmuth's body and speak,

"Rest peacefully buddy… Don't worry, I'll stop them and make sure that whatever they're planning ends up for naught. Thanks for trying to help me out and I'm sorry for assuming the worst and for my inability to help you out when you needed me the most."

'Omnitrix set a course to where the tracker is and lead me to it.'

'Acknowledged. Location found. User is now ready to depart.'

I then walk out of the tower into the distance and transform into Jetray and set off, leaving the planet behind me with a distant expression.

'I'm coming for you…'
