Chapter 13: Final Showdown

I sigh and start laughing. Surprisingly, Vilgax starts laughing as well. I speak,

"After all this time… After all these conflicts… This is where it led us… Face to face, for the last time. One final battle to end this Saga between us. It's been 8 years since our conflict started. I got the watch when I was 10 years old, and you've been coming after me ever since… Always had one single goal, obtaining the Omnitrix which you see as the key to ultimate power.

Your motives changed though, after our first couple of fights when I was a kid. That's when you decided that your objective now isn't the watch only. You were after my life too because of, in your eyes, what I've made you suffer through."

He then responds, "You're right. I've spent decades as an unrivaled dictator. Moving from world to world, taking whatever I wanted, and destroying them. They always tried to put up a fight against me, but it always ended with me winning easily… No one could stop me… No one could've stopped me…

That's what I believed in. You, however, time after time kept defeating me… Keeping me away from the ultimate prize while you flaunt it in my face… Using it in such an inefficient and unworthy way, treating it as a toy. On the other hand, I understood the watch… It's mechanics much more than you ever did… But I kept losing.

Even after getting defeated by you, I went after different worlds. I conquered them, defeated their strongest champions, and claimed their powers. I came back stronger than ever, fully confident in my victory. You still won… As you always did.

I developed an obsession with you… I couldn't admit it, but deep down I respected you. I was excited since someone finally put up a fight, defeated me even. A champion worthy of dying in my hands. So, here I stand, before you Ben Ten… Are you ready for our final battle?"

"Yeah, honestly, I didn't expect you to say all that. I'm ready, Let's finish this…

It's Hero time…"

He smirks and takes a few steps back, ready for our final showdown. I instantly transform into Heatblast, feeling nostalgic to our first meeting. I then start shooting fire at him. He pulls his sword and slashes through the flames. He then starts blowing air at me. This starts to cause my fire to be extinguished.

Knowing that I must take this seriously now, I transform into Diamondhead and use the same move I used on him to beat him during the conqueror's challenge. I float up three huge crystals and smash them into him. He seemingly learned from our last fight, and shoots lasers from his eyes at one of them and destroys it, then he dodges the second, and slashes through the third with his sword which is now in a crystallized state.

I then transform into Four Arms and turn my arms into different aliens' arms. One of them turns into Heatblast's, two into Diamondhead's, and finally, the last arm turns into Big Chill's. I then proceed to freeze and shoot fire at him consecutively while getting closer.

When I got close enough, I sent a flurry of punches toward him, knocking him down. I then proceed to crystallize his whole body except his head. I proceed to make one of my Diamondhead arms into a sword and look at him, ready to behead him.

"Goodbye Vilgax"

He then smiles as I cut his head clean off. I then walk to Albedo and do the same. I sigh and grab the new watch that is on Albedo's wrist. 'Let me see if I can incorporate this evolutionary feature into my watch.

'Omnitrix, do I have this evolutionary feature available in the watch.'

'No, the creator has not made or equipped an evolutionary feature within this device.'

'Can you scan the Ultimatrix and somehow copy or infuse this feature so it will be available for me to use?'

'This device cannot copy this feature, however, fusing with the Ultimatrix is possible due to its similarities with the Omnitrix.'

'Will there be any negative effects because of this fusion? Like glitches, or any other security issues?'

'After scanning the Ultimatrix, some problems have been detected. When fused, however, the Omnitrix will gain the evolutionary feature and all the glitches within it will be fixed. The security also won't be compromised. The user will gain access to the evolutionary feature and everything else will still be the same.'

'All right then Omnitrix, do it.'

'Ultimatrix fully scanned… Initiating fusion between both devices… Evolutionary feature isolated… Transformations sentience glitch found… Glitch eliminated… Evolutionary feature successfully added… Inferior matrix of transformations isolated… Inferior matrix destroyed… Process successful. User can now use the evolutionary feature without any problems.'

'Thanks, Omnitrix. I guess it's time to test and train with my new transformations.'
