20 Chapter 19 : Vilgax 2

The Chimeran Hammer is a battleship owned by Vilgax. In terms of appearance, it is brown in color with orange egg-like structures all around, serving as accents on its body and some used as portholes. Its shape resembles an Earth taser, with two long extended pieces constantly generating orange electricity between them. The back-end features a propulsion system that resembles wires holding a ball of red energy. The ship is equipped with visible turrets and antennae.

Inside its control room, there are two figures - one tall and grotesque, emanating a menacing aura, while the other is a small human, currently suspended in a circular frame, with all of their limbs tightly secured by machines, making it impossible for them to move. These two are the main antagonist and protagonist of the original series, Vilgax and Ben.

"A child. I should have suspected as much. The Omnitrix being used as a play-toy!" Vilgax said with a raspy and menacing voice, his eyes fixated on the analysis screen.

"Hey! I've saved a lot of people by going hero!" Ben retorted immediately.

Ignoring Ben's words, Vilgax continued his villainous monologue: "You hold the key to a power struggle so ancient, so vast, it is beyond your feeble comprehension. Picture an entire army, each in command of an Omnitrix and all at my command. I will be invincible. I will rule the Universe! And the only thing standing between me and my destiny... is you."

As he finished speaking, various devices emerged from the floor. Each device fired an energy blade. Ben, feeling overwhelmed, struggled to break free from his restraints, but his efforts were in vain.

Approaching Ben slowly, Vilgax savored the moment, the moment when he would achieve what he had always desired.

Amidst Ben's despair, a beep sounded, and suddenly, a section of the wall exploded. From there, a black and green Dodge Challenger burst through, heading straight for Vilgax, striking him and smashing through the opposite wall. The car's roof revealed a multitude of cannons, and several shots rang out, sending a barrage of laser beams straight at where Vilgax fell. The impact resulted in a loud explosion that shook the entire ship.

"Warning! Hull breach! Power surge!" alarms blared.

The car's doors opened, and Ben recognized the familiar figures.

"Grandpa, Gwen! How did you guys get here, and what are these armored suits?"

The two were wearing mechanized suits. Max had several strange guns, while Gwen had a few familiar charms around her neck.

Before Gwen could speak, Max spoke first, "Long story. The important thing is to get you out of here. Vilgax will be back soon."

"Wait so you do know him?" Ben asked, surprised.

"No time, Ben," Max said, aiming a gun at the machine locking Ben, seemingly intent on destroying it.

However, at that moment, an energy surge passed through Ben's body, transforming him into XLR8.

"Hey, what's happening?"

Without pausing to question, Ben continued to transform, going through Diamondhead and Wildmutt before finally becoming Four Arms, breaking free from his restraints easily.

Just then, the Mechadroids appeared, but they didn't need the three of them to intervene. The car's guns quickly took care of the Mechadroids.

"Good car!" Ben praised.

"TENNYSON!" a menacing growl attracted everyone's attention.

"Vilgax," Max replied, locking eyes with the newly appeared figure.

The gazes of the two adversaries clashed, and their relationship couldn't be simply described as enemies.

Countless comrades of Max fell under the hands of Vilgax, and Vilgax still couldn't forget his most significant failure. Between them, only one was allowed to live, while the other awaited nothing but death. Any more words spoken would have just been redundant.

Ben, on the other hand, didn't dwell on the situation much. He relied on his Four Arms form and recklessly charged forward, eager to showcase his true power to the adversary before him.

His legs slightly bent, then shot straight out, causing the floor to shatter as his body lunged forward. His fists, like two cannonballs, aimed at Vilgax's face with ferocity.

There was no explosion, no collision sound, nothing happened. Just as Ben's fists were about to hit their mark, his body suddenly trembled and retracted, shrinking down to the size of a phone, and was caught by Vilgax's outstretched hand.

"Greymatter? Oh man," Ben exclaimed.

Looking down at the owner of the Omnitrix, Vilgax spoke with disdain, "Pathetic!"

He then used his strength to make Ben scream out in pain.

A barrage of energy shots aimed directly at Vilgax's head, but they didn't seem to inflict much damage as he raised his arm to shield himself.

"Claw off him, Vilgax!" Max shouted.

"As you wish," he said. With a swift motion, he flung Ben to the ground behind him, knocking him unconscious. Then, he spread his arms wide and with supersonic speed, clapped his hands together powerfully.

Boom!

The air exploded, like a tidal wave rushing towards Max, the pressure rivaling that of an oncoming truck.

Fortunately, at that moment, a golden energy sphere appeared, absorbing the impact. Although it shattered immediately, it successfully mitigated most of the force.

Gwen's figure staggered forward, but Max steadied her with one hand, and the light from the magical charms around her neck dimmed.

Before he could inquire about his granddaughter, Max's foot thruster blasted, moving both of them away from the spot, just in time to avoid a colossal punch from above.

Crash!

This blow was like a meteor crashing down, piercing through the metal floor and shaking the entire room.

Without waiting for Vilgax to retract his hand, his right cheek took a powerful hit. Then, in his field of vision, he saw a large metal leg with a rocket engine thrusting behind it. With no chance to dodge, Vilgax was hit hard, creating a loud thud as he was sent flying backward.

As his body touched the ground, a giant energy blade, crackling with lightning, followed the trajectory and struck down. However, Vilgax wasn't so easily defeated.

When the energy blade was only a few centimeters away from his face, it suddenly stopped. and even with the use of more force, it couldn't be pushed any further . Lowering their gaze, one could see Vilgax's left hand gripping the blade, its sharpness unable to leave a scratch on his metallic glove.

Within Vilgax's view, the original car had vanished, replaced by a towering robot standing at almost 16 feet, surpassing Vilgax's own height of 13 feet.

Vilgax retracted the small columns on his hand back into his body, and his muscles swelled. He lightly clenched his fist, causing the energy blade to shatter into pieces. Then, he gently rotated and swung his fist towards the robot's leg. The opponent had to step back, making room for Vilgax to stand up.

"A Galvanic Mechamorph? Do you think you can stop me with this?" Vilgax's voice carried a hint of ridicule, directed at Max.

Max remained silent, only turning his head to face the robot, who nodded in response before looking back at Vilgax.

"Done with your plan?" Vilgax inquired.

At this point, the robot spoke, "Autobot, Roll out."

As soon as the words were spoken, the rocket thrusters on its back spewed flames, its right hand transforming into a cannon, and its left hand extending into a shield.

With a loud boom, the heavy body surged toward Vilgax. However, the Warlord didn't bother to dodge, waiting for the robot to enter his attack range before delivering a powerful counter-strike.

With a bang, the air exploded, and the shockwave blew in all directions. Vilgax maintained his position, while the robot had to retreat several meters. The metal shield, which had undergone upgrades and modifications, could easily withstand the missile attack, but now it had a deep dent.

As he was advancing for an attack, an energy bullet came flying towards Vilgax. Instantly, he raised his hand to block it, purely out of reflex. He knew his body well; on Earth, weapons capable of harming him were scarce. They needed weapons with at least enough firepower to destroy an entire city , and such weapons were surely not something these individuals could carry around.

However, this time was different. Although the energy bullet didn't do much damage, it managed to disrupt Vilgax's movement. Even his arm felt slightly numb.

Looking towards the source of the shot, Vilgax discovered that it came from Max, more specifically, from the large gun in his hand.

"How does it feel, Vilgax?"

With a slight curl of his hand, Vilgax replied: "Not bad, but not enough."
