9 months later-

Only 3 more months were left before Li would complete his graduation. Mei had completed her graduation and was doing her residency in a nearby hospital.

She would complete her residency in 3 months and then go for her Post Graduation. She had decided to specialize in emergency medicine. She would apply to Stephens Medical College for her PG.

Kai would finish his graduation with them and he decided to take the bar exam immediately.

Shishi was also doing her residency. However, she had applied to Yang Global Hospitals in the capital for her residency. Being one of the top students she was accepted easily. She had decided to specialize in pathology.

She would also apply to Stephens for her PG.

In these last 9 months, Yang Li had finished many of his plans.

He was diligent with his martial arts practice. He continued to visit the underground fight clubs.

He had almost completed his private overlay network it would be complete within a month. He was also focused on investing his current wealth. Apart from his mother and his sister he didn't trust anybody else with the money.

His mother had never been interested in finance and she was busy as her research had reached a critical point in the past 2 years. Mei had rejected his offer to manage the money as she was very busy and tired. Since her residency started, she barely slept and was always exhausted. Therefore, she couldn't bear any extra work. In fact, she handed over her own accounts to Yang Li.

So, Li was not only managing his own investments but also his mother's as well as his sister's.

During the last 9 months, he was contacted by Bureau 107. He assisted them in a few missions.

The bureau granted Li a special license for his commendable performance on these missions. It was illegal to carry firearms in the country without a proper license. Also, the license issued was a limited license i.e., ownership of only some types of guns was allowed.

However, this license allowed him to carry any kind of firearm in the country.

Presently, his focus was in two areas-

Firstly, it was to build a state-of-the-art research facility. This facility would be under his mother's supervision. She could undertake research projects as per her wishes. If it led to any ground-breaking discoveries that could be commercialized, it could be developed further.

The second was to set up his own enterprise after he completed his graduation. He had already selected a site for his enterprise. He asked the Bureau to transfer the ownership of the area to him.

Even the Bureau was surprised when he asked for that area. It neither had commercial nor strategic value.

However, Li's enterprise was different. It was basically a private workshop where he would create his products. The nature of both products and services would vary. It could be simple technology to be consumed by the general public, or it could be sophisticated and complex technologies that would be sold to governments, corporations, and even the underground sector. He would also undertake tech. consultancy project as per his wishes.

As it was largely based on technology and AI and no mass production was involved, it would require a small workforce.

His private overlay network would become the backbone of his enterprise. Everything would be run through this network making it untraceable by the authorities. He gave this network a name- 'Ghost Eye.'

Once Ghost Eye was fully operational it would provide an alternative, traceless platform to conduct business on the web. However, unlike the dark web, this network would be under Li's control. Also, using this network Li would be able to create a backdoor and gain access to different sites across the globe.

He had also decided to create a team of highly trained mercenaries to protect his family. At present, he hired bodyguards for this purpose so he had put this plan on hold.

Another important task for him was to recruit people who would be suitable to join his enterprise. Initially, he would require a team not exceeding 7 to 8 people. This would increase in the future as per the requirements. However, he would require highly skilled people in the field of AI and biotechnology.

Also, these people need to be trustworthy and therefore had to be thoroughly vetted. He started searching for such people not only in his university but also in other universities in the country.

3 months later the siblings, Shishi and Kai assembled in the canteen to celebrate. They had all received their degrees today. They met the Song and the Tang siblings in the canteen. This was the third time they met them.

After the Songs and Tang's left Li said to Mei, "You seem to have made new friends."

Mei replied, "Both of them are actually nice girls, especially Song Jue. She is frank and very kind-hearted. Tang Jue is arrogant but she has good intentions."

Then she said, "So, what's next. Where are you going to live from now?"

He replied, "Not just me!! but WE are going to live in Cinea. I have already bought a house. I will buy the cars when we move to Cinea."

"You have 3 months until your PG exam until then you can stay with me. After that, you will go to Stephens Medical College."

The distance between Cinea and Zijin was around 600 miles.

Stephens Medical College was located mid-way between Cinea and Zijin.

Similarly, the place where Yang Li was going to set up his workshop was mid-way between Cinea and Stephens Medical College. So, the distance between his workshop and medical college was around 150 miles.

Mei nodded and said, "Alright then, I will leave it up to you."

He then asked her, "What kind of car do you want?"

She replied, "Get me a red SUV but not very expensive."

He said, "OK."

Han Kai who was not interested in their conversation till now suddenly shouted and said, "YES, and buy me a blue Ferrari."

Li said, "Get Lost!", on the side, Shishi was giggling at Kai's antics.

Li then said to Kai and Shishi, "What are your plans now?"

Kai replied, "I have my Bar Exams in 6 months. So, I will return to Zijin. After my exam, I will come back to the capital. And then I will move in with you…. hehehehehe…..."

Mei interrupted Kai and said, "He might not be in the capital in 6 months."

Kai replied, "I know. He will go to his 'workshop'. Then I will follow him there…. hehehehe", Kai continued laughing like a psychopath.

Li ignored him and turned towards Shishi.

Shishi said, "I will stay in the capital till my PG exam. Then, if I clear it, I will go to Stephen Medical College."

Mei turned to Shishi and said, "If you don't mind, you can stay with us till the exams. I will also have some company."

Shishi said, "If it is not inconvenient for you guys, then it is fine by me."

Mei replied, "Of course it's not inconvenient."

Li nodded in agreement. Shishi was a bit nervous about Li's reaction, however, he was very cool about it.

Immediately Han Kai started whining and said, "Nooooooooo... How can she be allowed to live with you guys when I, your best friend is not allowed?"

Nobody paid any attention to his whining and exited the restaurant.
