The man practically flew the car home, leaving her to clutch on whatever she could find her hands on to hold. The more he pressed on the accelerator, the more she pressed herself back into the seat.

Was driving rashly a part of mafia upbringing? He seemed quite effortless at it.

She gulped, staring at his side profile by the corner of her eyes. What is there anything that she could possibly say that would calm him down? Probably not. Worst case scenario was, he pressed on the accelerator harder and they both died.

Was he trying to kill them? He might be successful in it the way he was driving them home.
