The moment she was done with the assignment he had given her, she closed the laptop before keeping it on it on the table for standing up and facing him, who all this time had been looking at her.

"I'm done." She said, picking up the cup of coffee that was now empty. "So, I will go to my room now."

"Wait," He called, stopping her in the middle of her tracks. "Sit with me, Joyce."

Why did her heart start to beat so quickly all of a sudden?! Joyce glanced at the laptop that was kept on the table before looking back at him. "Um, but I am done with what you asked me to do."

"And now I'm asking you something else to do."

Such a simple line but the amount of power he had by his side was clear. Joyce nodded and settled back into the chair for the third time. The difference was, only this time. She actually had nothing to do and it made her even more aware of him looking at her.
