What if the person(s) Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black adored most weren’t Voldemort but two cats she found wandering Hogwarts after a serious loss in Quidditch? Near the end of their third year at Hogwarts Harry and Hermione get into an accident when the time-turner and the Marauders Map send them back into the past in the animagus forms they discovered to feel closer to Harry’s parents. Discovered by Bellatrix in the halls they find themselves growing extremely close to the girl and discover their true selves when Bella discovers a strong compulsion and glamor on them.
