Being Sent to the Shadow Realm and Forced to Experience the Multiverse

Playing Yu-Gi-Oh is a fun time, but when the loser is erased from existence and sent to the Shadow Realm, or at least a place that fulfils the same objective, things can get pretty wild, especially when multiverse travel is involved. ‐--------------------------------------------------------------------------- You know the drill, this is my first novel, english is not my first language, feel free to correct any mistakes I may have done, and make sure to leave suggestions. Warning: Yugioh and other such works used in this novel are NOT owned by me. 2nd Warning: Images used in this novel are also not mine.

Rules for card creation.

If you want to make a card for the story, here are the rules for what each type of card should be. If you don't, or you don't really care about how these 'cheats' work, you can skip this.

Card strength can vary between worlds and are NOT absolute, so ATK/DEF and effects are more like an overall estimation. I may also ignore a certain part of the card in order to put more strength on another part; this includes custom cards, so don't expect someone with the sharingan moving at the speed of sound while throwing fireballs just because someone used one single Uchiha card; if they used multiple, then maybe. There is also a hidden category of power I will put into cards that will limit the cards that can be used in a world, simply so the MC won't get something like *Obelisk The Tormentor* and use that. All.The.Time.

Cards also need to have understandable effects in the sense of the game; if you don't know Yugioh effects, just leave them blank or comment what you would like.

Spell Cards: They can be a skill, magic, item, place, or event, and they will mostly be with the duelist, which means It will directly impact their starting point.

Trap Cards: Exactly the same as a spell card, but it will directly impact the original story instead, basically changing or adding stuff to it.

Monster Cards: Can be anything that is considered a 'being', I will make it a summon or an install of characteristics of that monster in the duelist (though mostly it will be installs), so if there are too many machine monsters installed, the chances of them entering the world as a robot are also high. The only time a summon will happen is if that world already has something like that. Some examples would be the worlds of 'Zero no Tsukaima' and 'Fate/Stay Night'.

ATK/DEF: Even though ATK really is how much damage they can deal while on the offensive, DEF doesn't mean how much damage they can take, but rather their power while defending an area.

Example: Sasaki Kojirou from Fate/Stay Night is not the greatest going on the offensive, but trying to get close to him is where he shows his true strength, so under these rules, Sasaki would have an ok amount of ATK and really high DEF.

Monster Types;

Normal Monsters: These are basically monsters that don't go much above their own strength or have a skill that could define them; this doesn't mean they absolutely can't have something like that, but it needs to be strong enough to become a separate spell/trap card.

Example: Sasaki Kojirou from Fate.

Effect Monsters: Are monsters that do have something beyond their own strength, be it an attack skill, regeneration, absorption, etc. Do note that if they have a power that is too strong, it might be better to make it into a spell/trap.

Example: Artoria Pendragon from Fate.

Ritual Monsters: The same as a Normal/Effect Monster, but somehow gained power beyond their own strength through a sacrifice or ritual, and in turn can't be considered the same monster.

Example: Artoria Pendragon Alter from Fate.

Fusion Monsters: Honestly, this one is self-explanatory; it's when multiple beings fuse into a new existence.

Example: Gogeta from Dragon Ball.

Synchro Monsters: Are monsters that evolved beyond their power, normally by synchronizing with something or someone, it might look similar to Ritual, but the process is basically the opposite; Ritual gains strength and thus 'change' while Synchro 'evolves' and thus gains strength.

Example: Rimuru from Reincarnated as a Slime.

XYZ Monsters: Are basically monsters that don't belong, either by using powers from different universes or by breaking the scale of the normal fights in that world, so something like the megazord from power rangers, a reincarnated edgelord full of ""cheats"" that comes from a god not native to that world, or something that is simply beyond others in terms of power, like Ainz.

Example: Ainz Ooal Gown from Overlord, Zords from Power Rangers, and 95% of the reincarnated fanfic MCs on this site.

Pendulum Monsters: They can be anything from above, but with the skill to change battlefields, be it with great skills that buff/debuff entire battalions or a great general that can control wars.

Example: Lelouch from Code Geass.

Link Monsters: Similar to Pendulum, but instead of entire battalions, they can basically command/increase the power of a small group or gather the strength of that group for themselves, so they are technically like the heroes that go defeat the demon lord.

Example: Joker from Persona 5.

It was weirdly fast to write this, probably because it was more me talking than thinking of a story.
