20 Halfdan

It took a month and a half to amass all the armies of the north as they were separated throughout the land. They were holding multiple outposts in different strategic locations. Still, there was an anomaly: the dead never attacked that outpost, while Ravens were sent from distant lands asking for aid. Some may ask why this was happening.

For David, the answer was simple. The Night King, seething with anger, had the Stark family in his sights, reserving them for a final, devastating blow. The other possibility was that he was amassing enough power to confront his most formidable adversary, David.

Five years later......

"The book ends the moment he slept with the corpse queen. After that, the words become scribbles," David said as he held a book titled "Rickon Stark."

He was the brother of the Builder himself. " So, he truly is dead? It seems you were right, Brandon." David snapped his fingers, and the book folded on itself, disappearing at once.

Outside, he could hear the sound of steel crashing down on something. And the war cries of his men fighting the dead. Generals were giving commands, almost vomiting their lungs as they did so.

It wasn't long before he heard a large roar in the sky, and that was his cue to come out, and he did. They were in Dorne while Luke was in Storm's End with Brandon Stark, the builder's son. The two boys hit it off the moment they met each other. After that, they became brothers, with Lyanna being bethrode to Luke.

You could see the banner of House Dayne fighting alongside the Asgardian. "Shield!" yelled a young general who wasn't Urlof. He was fighting at his prince's side in Storms End alongside House Durrandon and their storm King. Their shields were raised as a storm of the dead came running at them. I saw the situation, and they could not handle the blow that was coming.

Before the dead could march on the shield wall, I jumped into their ranks, unsheathed Godkiller, and began to tear them down. My hands moved like a blur. I was everywhere at once, and I could see I was having an impact on the battlefield. A man who looked above the shield wall yelled, " The all-father is with us!" they all charged at once, hacking the white walkers down with their black swords of Obsidian.

One of them threw out a small ball with a small string attached to it, in the field of the dead. The ball stood alone momentarily, but a small fire could be seen on the string. It burned slowly towards the end of it, and then " Booooom"

The man responsible for that laughed and said, "You see, brothers, do not be afraid of these demons, for tonight I will feast in the Halls of Valhalla."

He had a vest on him filled with grenades of dragon glass. He saw fire nearby and grabbed a handful of charcoal burning red hot in his Hands. He did not feel the pain, and he watched as the string of his grenade lit. He ran beyond the shield wall. " Many saw his action and could only be proud of his devotion to the cause."

The man Halfdan smiled as he ran towards the white walkers. He hacked them down with his one sword. The white walkers lunged at him, slowing him down and stabbing him, but he continued running towards the center and fell to the ground as he lost all his strength; his last words were " for the all-father."

As his light went out, he saw himself alongside his brothers drinking mead and endless fighting in the halls of Valhalla. They welcomed him, "Halfdan, Halfdan, Halfdan." They chanted his name, tears streaming down his face, for he was truly home in Valhalla.

At that last moment, the fire reached the small balls on his chest, and a huge explosion occurred, kicking all the white walkers away and breaking. A huge portion of their army was gone because of Halfdan.

Many of the Asgardians saw this and roared. It was not fury that made them do so, but happiness.

In the sky, a roar came from the clouds, and there it was an Ice dragon.

The Dayne soldiers were made up of small folk who were rightfully afraid, for those who had seen an ice dragon knew its terrifying prowess.

It came down and was about to unleash an ice breath, but down below on the battlefield, the all-father looked at it, and many soldiers beside him looked at him for guidance. He elongated Godkiller into its full form, Gugnir.

He arched back and threw the spear into the sky, piercing the ice dragon. A cry came from it as it fell to the ground, sending a massive shockwave through the battlefield. David raised his hand in the sky, and Gugnir came back to him and shrank down to Godkiller.

Beric Dayne was twenty years old and also the head of house Dayne of Star Fall. He had his sword in his arm and was fighting beside his men. When he saw the explosion set on by Halfdan, he said, "The Asgardians can't outdo us." He ran into the middle of the fold and cut down the rest of the white walkers with the sword that was given to him by the Asgardians weeks prior.

This was the battle for Dorne. And it wasn't long before he felt another shockwave hitting the land and making him fall to the ground. His man became surrounded by the white walkers, and he was in the middle.

He thought himself dead, but when surrounded by the white walkers whom the Asgardians were cutting down, Beric felt a sense of relief. If there is one thing he learned for the past moons, it is that the Asgardians fought like madmen, and their belief in the All-father was to die for. You do not see Such loyalty and devotion at this time or ever will be seen in the times to come. He thought.

Luke pov...

"What is a soldier if not a tool for war? What is a soldier if not an instrument of war?" These were the words from a book Luke had been reading after the battle at Storm's end. He was tired and beaten but could always find time to read his father's books. They were always filled with wisdom and knowledge. Behind him was Brandon Stark, Sharpening his sword on a whetstone.

The two boys were young, but no one could beat them in a duel.
