9 Gambling

I had hit bank several times now. It was quite fun gambling. Now I could see why people had gambling addictions. I would not be surprised if I became a gambling addict.

I was currently on the slot machines and had won 3,000 dollars so far. The maximum bet I could place on the slot machines was 500 dollars per spin while the minimum was 100 dollars.

The payout was not that quite bad but I feel like my greed was telling me it was not enough.

If you managed to get 2 bells then you would receive the amount you bet with back. If you received three bells then you would receive double however much you bet with.

2 cherries and you would receive nothing but if you got 3 cherries then you would be paid triple the amount.

A dollar sign would give you nothing no matter how many of them you got. Three suns would pay 10 times the amount but no one would get three suns. It was rigged. People would keep playing over and over thinking that if they just got three suns then they would be able recuperate the losses they made.

There were several other signs but they were just fillers. You would not receive anything from them. There were 4 other signs. A whip, a coin, a golden tooth and an eye patch.

The odds of managing to get the jackpot of three suns with all of those other signs were really slim.

I pulled the lever and spun the slot machine once more. 2 cherries.

I spun again. 3 cherries.

2 bells.

3 bells.

2 cherries.

3 bells.

I kept pulling the lever. I was practically an addict now. Who wouldn't be? If you kept on winning then would you not be addicted to winning yourself?

I kept spinning the slot machine until I had made 7,000 dollars.

One final spin and I get off. I told my self. I pulled the lever and watched as the signs passed by. The moved so fast that they were only a blur. I held my breath in anticipation and felt my throat drying up like an old white lady.

I slammed the red stop button and watched as the signs came to standstill. A sun. Then another. No it couldn't be. I completely lost my mind when I saw the third sun.

I had won 5,000 dollars. This was what I paid for with my time. This is the amount of luck you got when you acted like a creep and held onto people's legs for an hour. It was definitely worth it.

I quickly took the 5,000 dollars that the slot machine bleached out. That was the thing about the slot machine. It did not use coins at all. It only used notes. Mainly because there was no single young master who would actually walk around with cents in their pockets making a jingle noise. Young masters were arrogant entitled people who wanted to be the centre of attraction every way and only cared about their image. Carrying coins would damage their images and they would not carry such stuff.

I then walked up to the blackjack table. I was the only person at the blackjack table. Only several people were at the student gambling arena. Mainly because everyone was still in class or doing something else.

The dealer was a woman wearing a dealers suit. She wore black tights under her skirt and a white shirt under her shirtless tuxedo. I placed all my money that I had earned. 12,000 dollars. I decided to trust my luck. After all that was the type of place a casino was. If you couldn't trust your luck then what was the point of going there in the first place. The woman dealed the cards.

I had a ten and a nine bringing my total to 19. I only needed 2 to hit blackjack. The dealer had one card facing up and one card down. She had an eight.

"Hit me," I said. She placed another card in front of me. A 2 of hearts.

This continued for quite a while until I had made 72,000 dollars. I was too scared to gamble anymore. After all bad luck only came when you where least expecting. Besides even if I decided to continue gambling until my luck ran out I would be drawing attention to myself and I did not need that. If I wanted more then I would have to go gambling in a normal casino.

I quickly left the underground gambling arena which was just plain boring. It only had gambling tables and slot machines and nothing else.

I had made 72,000 dollars within an hour. I had never made something like this before. Even back on earth when my cryptocurrency rose I made around 40,000 dollars which I reinvested into cryptocurrency.

A Hyoksi injection cost 150,000 dollars on average depending on the person who injected. It didn't matter who did it as the results would be the same. Whether a beginner or an expert injected Hyoksi into you it would give the same results.

I made my way back to my dorm. I managed to get there without running into any trouble. I didn't meet any teachers or random side characters who knew Damien which made me happy.

I opened the door to the dorm and was surprised at what I saw. I didn't let my expression appear on my face.

My roommate who was a girl was standing naked in front of me with another naked girl who was on her knees.

There was a moment of silence in which we just stared at each other. I was tempted to look down at her body but with my shounen main character level of willpower I managed to maintain eye contact with her.

I stepped into the dorm and walked past by the two as if I did not see anything. Whether they made out or studied was not my problem. After all this academy was not different from university in several ways. The frat houses, the sorority groups, the crippling student debts, the exaggerated level of difficulty and the sense of entitlement.

I entered my room and packed a normal bagpack. I packed a black suit, black shoes, a bowler hat, an expensive watch that I found in my drawers and several perfume bottles. I placed the 72,000 dollars which was in a really fat envelope in my bagpack.

I then left my room and peeked out of the corner to see my roommate and her friend gone from the living room. I walked past the living room and exited the house.

My plan was to make enough money for a hyoksi injection. By the time I returned on Sunday evening I was planning to have awakened Hyoksi.
