The most Glorious and Proud Throne

"Oh! you do speak, and her I thought that you where mute." Says the woman also in an amused tone.

"Well, you never know what such rude fellows that didn't even introduce themselves are planning to do." I shot back.

"I apologies for the rudeness, my name is Arteus(Arte us) and this is miss Stella. We came to confirm the arrival of another fellow god in this world." The old man Arteus introduces himself and the woman next to him.

"And what is your name smoki." Stella asks with a teasing tone in her voice.

"You can call me Ashen. It is not my real name, but it will do." I answer her.

The name was just made up from the spot as I long forgot my original one.

"So Ashen, I feel a strong presence of darkness from you, by any chance do you possess the authority of darkness?" Arteus asks me with cautions.

"I'm offended that you would think that I am in possession of such an authority even though I'm such a nice person. Just look at me." I say sarcastic.

"Very funny." Arteus says absolutely not amused by what I said.

Stella on the other hand is trying to stifle her laughing with her hand.

But really! You only have to look at me and you can see that I'm completely made of darkness except for the eyes.

"Now a question for you guys, what is this sphere and why are we here?" I ask the two questions that interest me the most right now.

Stella looks at the old man and makes clear that she is not going to explain it.

"Sigh. This sphere like you call it is in fact an isolated word with a high concentration of natural laws. These laws have to be restrained so that the world can grow without getting destroyed all the time. That is the reason why we were brought here. " He explains.

"So, we are used as some kind of regulators for those laws." I give my understanding of the situation.

"Sort of yeah, but it doesn't restrict us in any way so if you want to destroy the world the only resistance would be the other gods and not the world itself." Says Stella with a carefree tone.

This comment got her a sharp glare from Arteus, but she just smirks at his reaction.

"Anyway, now that we confirmed that you are one of us, we should return to the hall of gods and introduce Ashen to the others." Arteus says.

"Sure, why not." I agree.

I'm curious what the other gods are like.

"Don't get your hopes up Ashy, the others aren't much fun and way to serious about the whole balance thing." Stella says to me as we make our way to the planet with the moon.

"What do you mean with balance?" I ask her with clear curiosity in my voice.

"These righteous gods all have some sticks up their asses and forbid us to descend upon the world. We can only send down some blessings and sometimes create a new thing in your domain." She complains without caring about Arteus that shoots disapproving glares at her.

"You said that there are the righteous gods, so I assume that there are also some other factions, right?" I ask Stella again with a relaxed attitude.

"haha… Of course, there are. As if anyone other than them wants to walk around with a stick up their asses all the time. Other than the righteous faction there is also the evil and the neutral faction. But where you belong to is decided by these stiff fools and you don't have to care much about it." She laughs about my carefree reaction and explains.

I just sigh at this and stop asking more questions as we reach a giant gate behind the moon.

After walking through the gate, I see a big long table with fifteen thrones around it inside a beautiful white hall.

Each throne is unique and has a theme and they are placed in three groups.

On the right side of the table I count six thrones and they have the oblivious righteous theme of gold white and bright colors.

In the middle of the table are five thrones distributed on each side of the table, they each have their own theme and no real connection.

And on the left side I see four thrones, two are red and two are black.

While I observe my surroundings the other gods on their thrones also observe me.

"Let me introduce you to our new fellow god, this Ashen and he is a god of darkness." Arteus says after the looks of the gods focused on him.

I ignore the underlying disgust in his voice and instead let my gaze wander over all the present gods.

"Greetings." I say as I rise one hand.

There are many different reactions to my scarce greeting but only the righteous ones got angry.

"Any way, you can create your throne on the left side of the table, after which the other gods are going to introduce themselves." Arteus explains with a clear arrogance in his voice as he didn't even look at me but instead walks to his throne on the right side of the table.

I have the strong desire to just sit on the right side of the table to annoy him, but I don't want to make enemies this soon so I obediently walk to left side and stand some distance away from the throne of Stella who ignored everything and just sat on her throne as soon as we arrived.

I choose my place just far enough to the left side that the righteous faction can't say anything and I'm still able to comfortable convers with Stella who clearly belongs to the neutral faction.

Now for my throne I decide to annoy those prideful fools and create a throne of fluffy darkness.

As soon as my throne materializes all the gods look at me with disbelieving gazes.

Of course, I ignore them and let myself fall into the fluffy throne, I immediately sink for almost twenty centimeters till it stopped.

I wiggle a bit around to get comfortable.

All the while the other gods stare at me with disbelieve.

"What?" I ask as I look in the round.
