28 Somewhere Over The Rainbow

In some apartment somewhere in the city that Kanzaki was living in, there was a girl sitting in her room while scrolling on her pc. Her walls were blood red and they looked quite different than any other place you could find in the city. All of the rooms outside of her room were painted blood red as well and there were tiny plants all over the place with some being vines and others being smaller things like flowers.

The flowers and other plants might have been considered trashy by some people's standards but the apartment itself was by no means of low value. Every single thing in the apartment was of the highest quality and from the most expensive brand someone could find. Even the soil used by the plants in the apartment would make someone cry if they were to look at the price tag.

The most captivating part of the entire apartment was the girl sitting at her pc. She had blood-red hair that matched the color of her walls and was also wearing a large fur blanket that covered most of her body. One thing that she couldn't hide was her beautiful face that would surely seduce and charm any man or woman that she walked past.

If one were to look closely at her monitor they could see that she was scrolling through WeTube at a leisurely pace not worried in the slightest about anything at all and just looking for something to pass the time or enjoy.

As she was scrolling through the videos she suddenly came across a clip that had a label on the side that said viral. One perk of WeTube that wasn't present on any other video platform was its tagging system.

If one were to post a video and it grew at a very quick and sudden pace it would have a viral badge on the right side and end up on a certain page of the site where people could find it easier.

The thing that attracted her to the video was not the title or even the badge on the right side of the video but instead the thumbnail. On the thumbnail or otherwise known as the picture that someone sees before they click on a video there was a picture of a certain V-Tuber and they were standing on a roof looking down on someone.

If Kanzaki were there he would recognize that video as the clip that was taken earlier when he hit the 360 no scope off the top of the building. It had become even more popular and was now at a whopping 500k views in less than a day.

It was an understatement to call it just viral and it showed just how big the game was becoming in a short time and how popular it might make Kanzaki in the future while streaming.

When the girl decided to finally watch the clip she watched it without audio first to look at the way Kanzaki jumped off the building and landed the shot. At the beginning of the video, she thought he actually wasn't going to hit it and that the video was clickbait but it was so short that she decided to watch anyway.

As the clip played the first time she watched closely and was left with her jaw slightly dropped by the time it ended. She had never seen such skill and precision before but she chalked the shot up to being lucky. However, before she decided on her final thoughts she decided to click on the clip account and begin looking at some of the other clips they had of the same streamer.

Over and over again Kanzaki performed magnificently and showed that he was a force to be reckoned with in the game which made her more than impressed. She had been playing the game since the first time it came out and she was in the top 100 but not nearly as skilled as Kanzaki.

He was so good that he made her feel inferior which was something she hadn't felt in a long time and never had since she was 5 years old. The feeling was terrible to her and it made her want to play the game more just so she could look down on others and know that she was the best player.

As she continued to watch clips she accidentally forgot to turn the audio off so she heard the streamer's voice for the first time. When the streamer began talking she thought it was one of the most pleasant and soothing voices she had ever heard but after a moment of thinking and slight familiarity there was a frown on her face.

When the frown showed up she shakily placed her hand on the keyboard and paused the video before closing out the tab entirely. The frown that had shown up on her face was not an angry one that was aimed at the other person but instead at herself for whatever reason that may be.

After hearing Kanzaki's voice she lost her desire to watch more videos and instead opened the game he had been playing and decided to try and get better. That night and the next few days she played more hours than Kanzaki had since he had got the game birthing one of the greatest players the game had ever seen.

Back at the bottom of Kanzaki's apartment he had just arrived at the gym and was looking around to see if he could see Landon anywhere but the more he looked the more he realized that the man that freaked him out the day before wasn't there.

'Thank goodness.' Kanzaki thought with a sigh as he began walking toward the gym door. Once Kanzaki entered the gym he decided to start off with a light run and got on the treadmill hitting the start button but little did he know a familiar face was running right beside him.
