102 A Remedy

When Selena heard the word hired her heart almost skipped a beat as her mind began racing wondering who in the world would hire someone to stalk her and her beloved, "Who hired you?!" Selena said in anger not able to hold back the ferocity of her words after hearing that someone hired another to stalk her and more importantly the love of her life.

"I'm not sure!" The girl shouted immediately afraid that if she spent time thinking Selena wouldn't waste any time beginning to hurt her.

The response that the girl gave was not at all what Selena wanted to hear so she quickly went over to her table of tools and pulled out a small hammer with a nail, "Oh really? You better scrub that brain of yours quickly to find something otherwise this nail will find a place inside you~" Selena said with an erratic smile as she walked over to the girl with the tools before placing the nail in the middle of the girl's thigh threatening to hammer it inside.

The sight of this frightened the girl and made her begin sweating profusely as she tried to find something to give Selena before she was harmed in any way, "WAIT WAIT WAIT! I DO HAVE SOMETHING!" The girl shouted quickly halting Selena's advances as she had raised the hammer already to smash in the nail.

"Oh, you know something? Do tell~" Selena said with a wicked smile on her face that would stay in the girl's nightmares for years to come.

"I-i was contacted by the person when I was working at Witch. They left me a note and the only way to get on the floor I was working on is by having a higher access card or an equal one. That means they must be working at Witch as well. You could probably find them through the number on my phone!" The girl spat out quickly trying to throw everything she knew about her contractor to Selena so that she might let her go.

When Selena heard all of this she paused for a moment thinking over everything before she retracted the tools from the girl's leg making her sigh in relief before Selena went into the corner of the room to give a phone call.

When Selena sent the call it rang for a few seconds before the person on the other line picked up, "Yes, have you checked where the call originated from? It's from there? Alright, I'm on my way." Selena said before she hung up the phone and placed her phone back in her pocket.

Once she did this Selena turned her attention back toward the girl, "It seems you have told us the truth. For that, you get to live so be sure not to cross my path again." Selena said with a sinister look as the girl thanked Selena over and over again for letting her live.

However, what the girl didn't know is that soon she would be injected with a certain kind of toxin that would make her not only forget everything that had happened during her time with Selena but also everything within the past few years. It was the side effect of using such a drug but in Selena's mind, the only thing that mattered was Kanzaki so she didn't mind destroying some random girl's memory.

The call that Selena took was from one of her subordinates who told her they had traced the phone number back to Witch headquarters not that far away from where Selena and Kanzaki were living.

In fact, from what they had found out it seemed that the owner of the phone was even still at Witch's headquarters more than likely working some kind of night shift to make more money, 'Unlucky for you.' Selena thought to herself with a smile as she exited her apartment to head toward the Witch headquarters to deal with the person.

"Hey Selena what brings you out this late at night?" A voice suddenly said beside Selena as she locked her door. The voice was one that Selena recognized immediately and made the situation a little more complicated.

"I was going to ask you the same thing Kanzaki~" Selena said with a cheerful smile as she looked over at him. Kanzaki was dressed in his night clothes seemingly ready for bed which made the reason for him leaving his apartment even stranger.

"Oh nothing much I couldn't sleep so I was going to go for a small walk to get rid of this energy." Kanzaki said giving a smile in response to Selena as he locked his door as well.

When Selena heard this her slight worries that he may have heard her through the wall were lifted making it easier for her to keep talking with him, "Oh really? I got a call from my work and they need me to come in for a bit so that's where I was going. However, if you need help falling asleep I have the perfect remedy." Selena said making Kanzaki have an interested expression on his face wondering what she could possibly be talking about.

"What might that be?" Kanzaki asked in confusion as Selena walked closer to him before slowly motioning for the door.

"If you want to go inside I can make it for you." Selena said with an award-winning smile before Kanzaki nodded his head and went back inside where Selena prepared a small tea for Kanzaki. Normally this tea is only meant for tasting good but Selena slipped a small amount of the sleeping agent she had inside of the drink to help Kanzaki fall asleep.

"T-this drink is working wonders. Thank you, Selena." Kanzaki said with a sleepy smile as he began curling up on his couch unaware that he should see Selena out or that he should sleep in his bed.

Once Selena was sure that Kanzaki was asleep she began caressing his face gently before giving him a light kiss on the lips, "Goodnight my love~"
