Chapter Thirteen

"These cannellons are delicious !"I said stuffing more of it into my mouth as I was really hungry.

"Thank you mum for the delicious food and to you too for helping her out!"

"Oh come on Liza ,that was all I could do to show my gratitude after she allowed me to stay here yesterday!"Hardy said .

"Wait! are you saying you have been here since yesterday?"I asked taking a sip of my cocktail .

"Yes Liza !"He said simply.

"I arrived yesterday evening with my parents.

I decided to come and give you a surprise visit but unfortunately ,you were not around.

A neighbour told me the location of aunt's restaurant so I went over there and we came home together as well"Hardy explained .

"I'm sorry I made you wait !"I said finishing my cannellons .

" No problem Liza ,I understand !"Hardy said patting her shoulders .

[Clinton enters his house angrily and begins to throw items around].

"What's wrong this time Clinton ?!"Klara asked.

"I thought you were on a business trip so what are you doing here?!"Clinton asked Klara angrily .

"Well,the trip was cancelled and the deal has been set so I came back home!" Klara said.

"There's no point pouring your anger on these items Clinton!

Tell me what's wrong !"Klara persuaded him calmly .

"She's such a mess Klara! What does she think of herself ?!

She will definitely pay for the embarrassment she caused me today!"Clinton angrily threw his vase to the floor breaking it into pieces .

"Who has triggered your anger Buddy ?!"Klara asked .

"Who else if not for Liza ! She drives me nuts!"Clinton hit his fist against the wall .

"I know Liza is a nice and polite girl ! You must have done something to trigger her anger , I'm sure of that!"Klara said getting herself a fizzy drink from the refrigerator .

"Stop taking her side ! You really don't know her!"Clinton angrily shouted at Klara .

" Of course I do! I don't need decades to know her but I know one thing,your arrogance always gets ahead of you!"Klara pushed her index finger into his chest angrily .

[They continue to argue about Liza and Klara takes her side ,but Clinton gets angry and leaves the house].

"Hey! why are you sitting outside alone?"Hardy joined Liza on the corridor as she leaned by one of the pillars .

"Hardy ,I'm happy to see you .I just can't believe that we have met each other again!"Liza said with a smile .

"I have something for you !" Hardy said .

"What is it?"Liza asked curiously .

"Just turn around ..!"He said with a wink .

I turned wondering what it was .

"Now turn to look at me ..!" I turned to look at him as he held a necklace in his hand.

It was made of pure diamonds and it had my name scripted on it.

"I love you Liza !"He said and placed the necklace around my neck.

"I have waited eagerly for this day to tell you .

I thought you had also moved on forgetting about the promise we made to each other when we were kids.

The promise to love each other till death do us apart.

I'm excited that you have kept your promise as I have kept mine!

No one or nothing can separate us now.

I will complete my destiny with you Liza; my perfect half !"He said ,as he went on his knees .

"Could you say what you said again?"I asked curving my lips into a smile .

"I said I love you !!!"This time louder.

"Liza, will you marry me?! "

"Yes! "I said without hesitating . Hardy and I were in love with each other since childhood.

It's been years since he left ,but I had loved him till date.

"I know ,we have been through a lot but together , I know that we will make a great couple ."He said, fixing a ring on my finger.

"It's beautiful ..!"I said with a smile ,as we kissed each other.

"Mum !Dad ! what are you doing here ?"

[referring to Hardy's parents who had just arrived at their house ].

"Elisa told us about what you intended to do so we came to support you."Hardy's mum said with a smile on her face .

"Wait! Mum ,did you know about this too?"Liza asked her mum a bit surprised .

"Yes Liza, when Hardy told me yesterday that ,he was interested in marrying you , I thought it was a great and bold step .

Besides,right from childhood I knew you were destined to be together.

You both have been through a lot and I think accepting his proposal without hesitation was a good idea.

I don't know what the future holds for both of you but if there is one thing I'm sure of ,then it's the fact that you will both make a great family. I love you both "She said hugging Hardy and I.

It was as if my mum had been waiting for this day .

I could see from her enthusiastic behaviour .

"Congrats to both of you !"Aunt Peyton[Hardy's mother ] said embracing us in a tight hug .

"You have made me proud Hardy , by your bold decision !

Congrats to you two ! I wish you a life with never ending love and happiness."

Uncle Drew[Hardy's father ] said embracing us.

"Again ,we came here to invite you to the welcome party that will be held tonight at home.

It's been years since we left for Acart ,so we are celebrating our safe return .

Liza,you are now our would be daughter in-law so you can't refuse .

Do well to come alright ?"Peyton hugged her happily .

"Let me walk you out "Mum said to Hardy's parents.

"I' m happy to see that our dreams have finally come to pass for our children "Peyton said to Elisa.

"You know how desperately we have waited .

The alliance of their marriage was set right from their birth and today,they have finally agreed to accept each other."Peyton added .

"Peyton ,you know very well that Liza had no choice but to marry Hardy not because she loves him but because she is destined to do so.

Their family would lead to the expansion of our beings.

For we are alien witches and wizards and we cannot get involved with humans.

Liza is an alien witch and Hardy is an alien wizard ,so their alliance was destined in order to continue our generation."Elisa muttered to them making sure that Liza hears nothing about it .

"Talking about that Elisa,have you told Liza about her origination?"Drew asked .

"No ,I haven't because I know my daughter very well,she won't accept nor understand that she's not human!

She doesn't know that her beauty is as a result of the alien blood running through her veins.

She doesn't also know that she has the chance to live two centuries on earth among humans and take their form as well."Elisa said .

"What about you Peyton ? ,have you told Hardy yet?"Elisa asked .

"Yes !Drew and I have already told him and he understands perfectly well the type of person he is so there is nothing to worry about!

All beings from the alien clan have the chance to live two centuries if they marry their fellow aliens and that's why I want both our children to get married as soon as possible ! "Peyton added anxiously .

"Once she gets to know ,she will definitely break this alliance!"Elisa spilled the beans .

"Why is that so ,Elisa?!"Drew asked a bit confused .

"She has been in contact with a human alien in her dreams."Elisa said quavering .

"What!" Drew and Peyton exclaimed.

"But how could that happen?! You know aliens don't have the right to get involved with humans or half aliens [human aliens]. It is an abomination to our clan !"Peyton almost screamed .

"I know that Peyton. Don't worry , because that will never be possible !

Liza will never end up with a human alien which is why I beseech you to make the wedding preparations as fast as possible before Liza reaches out to that human alien in her dreams. When she does that ,she will die!

And her death would be a disgrace to your family linage ,Peyton!

I don't think you want history to repeat itself in our clan!

All alien witches who got involved with humans saw the revelation in their dreams and they ended up falling for their cursed life with humans!

Just take a look at what happened to Hazel decades ago .

She betrayed her clan and responsibility for a human in her dreams.

She preferred to give birth to a half alien and get stuck in her bed for only God knows how long!

I'm sure she's still stuck on her bed lifeless and yet still ,she has not rotten!

Her son who has been cursed by his mother's actions cannot have the opportunity to start a family with an alien or a human because the lady would die and if she tries giving birth !

She will die leaving her child with the same cursed life ,she had been through. This is a punishment for human aliens and I hope you clearly know that!" Elisa said to Peyton reminding her of the need to speed up the preparations for the marriage.

"I can't tell her the truth that her dreams are real and the person who stabs that human alien in the back is the bond of hatred and darkness between humans and aliens which began centuries back even before we were born!

She would never forgive me for betraying her !

I want to save my daughter from a cursed life and you want to save your family linage from disgrace ,so this issue dawns on you!"Elisa said with all seriousness .

"Before the truth would be unveiled ,the marriage would have already taken place!"Peyton and Drew assured Elisa with a smile across their faces.

"I understand Elisa, their marriage ceremony would be held a week from today ,and that is my promise." Peyton said.

"Before Liza reaches out to the human alien,Hardy must give her the bond of eternal marriage and that can happen only if ,they get married as soon as possible and consummate their marriage !"Elisa said to Peyton.

The bond of eternal marriage is a mating mark .

As soon as alien wizards and witches mate ,the bond is formed which means until death do them apart after living two centuries, they will be inseparable.

This is why aliens are able to expand their clan .

"Alright ,we will take our leave now since we need to prepare for the welcome party"Drew and Peyton said to Elisa.
