Chapter 3.

When she finished, she wrapped a towel around her and stepped out of the shower. She wiped the fog on the mirror to take a look at her self. She was pale and much thinner than she really used to be. She wasn't the same old Khanyisile she used to be. It was like someone had drained the life out of her body.

It's been months since she was saved for the devil she called her mother. But the nightmares were much worse that what she had experienced.

The flashbacks were the worst. She would have them even during the day then suddenly screaming and running from anything called a female. All female teachers who were supposed to teach her were changed. They would always remind her of her mother. She would tremble, whenever  they were close to her.  With only 15 people as her classmates it was every easy not to converse with anyone. Infact she didn't have any friends.

She didn't know who she was anymore. She didn't feel like herself anymore. She was empty and had no source of happiness. How couldn't she be sad and lost when pieces of her were lying everywhere because of all the things she was exposed to at a tender age. When she was vulnerable and didn't have a choice.

A huge part of her was missing.

She was struggling to find the missing part of the puzzle, her puzzle, the puzzle of her life.

She opened her closet to select today's outfit. She opted for a warm outfit to combat the cold weather and chose some dark wash skinny jeans, a white tank top, and a denim jacket with a  similar wash to her jeans. She completed her look with some light make up which was just eyeliner pink lip balm and wore all black vans.

She took one last glance at the appearance on the mirror and once she was satisfied that her short hair was neatly combed she took her school bag with the books she would need already packed and went down stairs. She stood at the entrance of the high kitchen and took in the smell of the eggs and bacon her father prepared.

Carelessly placing her bag in the kitchen counter she took a seat next to her father on the kitchen island and smiled at him. She looked at the plate full of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon just how she likes it and two slices of toast on the side. After taking a sip of her orange juice she grabbed the first next to her plate and dug in.

Her feet wiggled under the kitchen island as she ate her find and her father noticed her little movements and was glad that her daughter was enjoying the But he wished that was life she was enjoying other than the food.

When she had the last fork of her food her Father was already waiting for her to finish. She placed her plate on the drying rack after eating it and she was ready to go .
