Stella:

I can't believe that I'm taking a shower in front of the Moon Goddess. It's heaven to apply warm water to my skin. I consider it a privilege. I haven't taken a shower in about seven years.

The shower is not replaced by the river. Take my word for it.

Additionally, it has been seven years since I last saw my family. I deeply miss my family.

"Stella." Feeling my anguish, Onyx whines.

Shaking my head, I I do not want to consider them. I'll start crying if I do.

Crap!

It is past time. I have already shed tears on my cheeks.

I cover my face with both hands to let go of the sadness I'm experiencing. I realize I shouldn't on the grounds that he doesn't merit it, however I even sob for Renard. I'm doing it for the betrayal he caused me, not the man.

I was stabbed in the back by the one person I thought would bring me my happy ending.

As the shower curtain suddenly opens, I unconsciously jump. Francis is concerned as he looks at me. He never looks away from me. He sees me naked in front of him and doesn't even blink an eye.

When Francis decides to join me in the shower, my eyes widen even more. What are you engaged in?"

He makes no comment. He only takes me into his arms to comfort me.

Francis massages my back. Ares was told by Onyx that you were crying.

"Onyx!" I require clarification.

"I won't make any excuses based on this." She also does not.

My forehead is kissed by him. Are you alright?"

"Yes." I wasn't lying. I forget my sadness while in his arms.

Francis gently pulls away from me while clearing his throat. Before I do something that you aren't ready for, I should leave.

His comment made me blush because of the force of his voice. I understand what he meant by that.

I say stupidly, "Uhmm... your clothes are all wet."

As I write this, I want to slap myself.

They "are." He adds casually, getting out of the shower.

I can't stop staring at him. As he begins to undo his shirt button, they hold him tightly.

Before he has a chance to completely remove his shirt, I quickly close the shower curtain.

As he exits the bathroom, Francis lets out a chuckle.

"Why did you act like that?" Onyx laments.

"Oh, you've got something to say now." I laugh out loud.

I get out of the shower to use a towel to dry my body. as I observe myself in the mirror. I'm proud of my new clothes. The Luna has great taste.

Francis surprised me as he prepared a sandwich for me as I entered the kitchen. I don't care that it's the same meal I had when they took me from my cell. He created this one himself.

"Why are you treating me so well?" As he hands me the plate, I inquire.

I get a grin from him. Nothing is here. I will make you a real meal the next time.

I sit down and begin eating.

Francis sneezed and coughed. I regret it, but I have to leave.

I give a head nod. Eric is a dangerous person.

I'm not inept. I am aware of his route. He is Beta. He has responsibilities.

Promise me that you won't leave the house. You are still unknown to the pack. I won't fight those who haven't gotten married yet.

"I guarantee."

He holds my chin up until we meet. I won't bother you. I'm not new to rodeos.

"You like him." Onyx is content.

Francis is leaving the house while I watch. Her statements, I am aware, are accurate. I do like him, possibly even more.

Hearing the doorbell ring, I glance at the door.

Do I respond?

"You are within the Beta residence. Whoever it is, I doubt they will be stupid enough to harm you. Since you used his shampoo to wash yourself, you even smell like him.

I grin as I take a whiff. He does odor like me. I adore it.

I hesitate before opening the door. I was surprised to see a blonde woman smiling while standing there.

She is a vampire, I say! Onyx warns me.

I'm about to lock the door behind her. She quickly stops the door from closing by placing her hand on it. You need not be afraid of me. I'm a companion of Doyle."

I can feel Onyx's deep throat growl.

Her smirk transforms into a grin. I claimed to be a friend and not a lover.

I look at her with narrow eyes. I doubt it. It's hard for me to believe her. Just who are you?

I shake her hand as she extends it. Shade, Beth I will be your bodyguard until Doyle comes back.

I put on a face. Bodyguard?"

"Do you want me to take care of her? I'll show her one or two things to tease you in that way. Onyx is getting ready to choke her.

Beth takes a long, slow breath. Tell your wolf to lower his voice. Nothing would have stopped me from hurting you if I wanted to."

"She's most certainly an alternate sort of vampire. She appears more robust.

"How are you sure of that?" I inquire Onyx. Never before had we seen a vampire.

"Believe me. It's a sensation."

I let her in by stepping to the side against my better judgment. Maurice Stella." I give you a brief bio.

I close the entryway behind her. She is staring at me when I turn around. Thus, you are Doyle's companion.

I say with confidence, "I am."

She makes a point at my neck's base. So, how come you haven't yet been marked by him?

Onyx adds, "Good question."

The remark made by Onyx makes me scowl.

"It's a piece individual," I answer Beth.

A bad idea comes to mind as I look at her. Therefore, you are a vampire.

Beth laughs. I am that.

I nibble my lips anxiously. " As of late I picked up something important to me. Perhaps you can provide me with some responses.

"Where do you intend to take this?" Onyx speculates.

I don't respond to her. Beth is my primary focus.

"Tell me what that is, and I'll decide if I can be of any assistance to you." She waits for me to continue by folding her arms in front of her.

I empty my mouth. You can see that my wolf is white. We are fairly uncommon. I recently discovered that my body contains a type of molecule. If I'm not with my real mate, it could be fatal. If it is true, I would appreciate it if you could sample my blood.

Beth uses her fingers to lick her lips. So allow me to clarify this. I just met you, and you want me to drink your blood to see if I can spot anything unusual?"

"You're nuts!" My decision does not please Onyx.

I inform her, "I know."

I reply to Beth, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying."

She gives me a wink. Let's get started.
