Chapter 4: new game
One day before…
"-Sorry for the bad news your majesty, but your health is getting worse and you are not giving yourself enough time to recover.
-I have a kingdom to take care of. There is no time for rest.
- I know…but… how are you going to rule it with a sick body with and a cloudy mind?" the royal doctor said in concern while the young man sitting across from them rolled his eyes with annoyance.
"-Don't make my people worried about my health condition." The doctor nod in agreement.
"-your majesty, sorry if you found my speech rude or offensive but…"the doctor stopped talking till the king motion for him to finish speaking.
"-well your people is wondering when the young prince is going to start ruling with you" the king kept silence for a moment making the old man shiver in fear
"-Not at the mean time, but soon… Really soon; more than I expected."
The doctor bowed in respect for the king and the boy not daring to lift his gaze from the ground, and left the room as soon as possible.
The white-haired boy stood up immediately and walked with steady steps toward the sick man with his famous unfailing smirk.
"-Honestly Pers… your acting skills are improving, I almost believed your small show earlier. They should give you an award for the hard-work!" He said bowing in a sarcastic way making his father sight in disbelief.
"-who taught you to talk to the king with that disgraceful manner." However, the young man rolled his eyes at his father statement then said:
"-for your information old man, I am your son before being one of your pathetic people. And if you think you can apply your rules on me you're wrong. See you later! Don't die too soon, understood." He then left the room with his bright smile to be encountered with the commander who bowed at him but he ignored him as usual and moved on.
A few moments later, he didn't find his ring, so he went back to his father's room and almost kicking the door open until…
"-did you do as I told you Pryor?
-Yes, your majesty I send two of my solders to call for the hunter I trust the most.
-who? Do I know him?
-well… everyone know her your majesty…She is Malin…Malin Chace." The king's eyes widened in disbelief then muttered:
"-are you sure she will accept?
-don't worry about it your highness. I will do my best to convince her.
-hope so. I appreciate your hard-work commander.
-it's my honor to serve you and his majesty…"
The little boy's mind kept repeating the same name: Malin, with that he turned back to his room and called his assistant Howin.
The prince made himself comfortable on the coach while the other one waiting for his master orders.
"-I want to ask you about someone…Her name is Malin, Malin Chace. Do you know her?"
The assistant's eyes opened wide open like saucers making the other boy more confused.
"-Yes your majesty, I know her. She was trained by the commander since a young age and she is one of the best or even the best fighter and she has the most unbelievable killing skills. More than that, she won the first place in the annual hunters competition for the past five years with an incredible score; so everyone look up at her.
-well that's fantastic! I am amazed; I want to meet her soon. I guess I find myself a new little game to play with." He said with an evil smirk across his face
"-but there is a problem…
-what is it? Don't tell me she is an old wrinkled woman or she is a real weirdo.
-no she is seventeen and she is got a strong personality and interest way of thinking. She just holds a big grudge against incubus, and she works now as an assassin who get hired to get rid of them. So it's better if you don't mess with her because she won't hesitate to kill you.
-so funny, like how dangerous she could be? I didn't expect you to be afraid of a young girl. How pitiful!
-well I would mess with any other hunter than her and she is not the ordinary typical type of women.
-ok …ok. On the scale of 1-10 how threatening she could be.
-do you still remember Leo's death." The prince chocked with water when he heard the man's name.
"- don't tell me…that ...she…" Howin nod in agreement
"-oh my god, you don't have to remind me. His death was really brutal. Like for real, she is the one who killed him.
-unfortunately… Yes
-this old man is planning for my death to be memorable. How exciting this could be!
-just make sure she is doesn't know you are one and you will be safe with her I guarantee that sir."
The prince told Howin to leave and walked to the giant golden mirror and checked himself out then start laughing hysterically then stopped out of sudden to look at the shining gem in his hand, that he found on his bed.
"- dangerous they said. We will see how my little new puppet will do. I can't wait. Take your Time Malin Chace cause soon you will be mine."...
