Chapter 12

'Confession...' Akira fell into deep thought.

It seemed very simple to go to confession, but there was a problem. To whom to confess? Akira wasn't very powerful, so he couldn't confess to some high-class devil, he already considered himself lucky that Rias had accepted his 'confession'.

Looking at Runeas who was walking in front of him, he shook his head twice before looking away.

'Damn, what am I thinking? She'll kill me if I try anything.'

Since his arrival in England, a day had passed, and since then he had been accompanying Runeas wherever she went. This was because he feared that she would play some trick on him that would cause him to waste even more time.

At first he only intended to take Runeas to the place where the couple in the story had died, so that she could fulfill their 'last wish'.

But after he did that, he realized that Runeas didn't intend to release him yet, in fact, she had forced him to be her guide for a few days.

"Hey! Around the corner there's an ice cream stand! Let's go try some."

Running to the ice cream stand, Runeas turned her head as she nodded to Akira.

'Who should I choose...'

Even lost in thought, Akira still walked to the ice cream stand, while handing a few notes of money to the vendor.

After deep contemplation, Akira finally chose the queen of Rias. That girl although sadistic still had some gentle traits under the surface, and he knew that if even Issei had managed to win her heart, then he could too.

Even though he knew his chances weren't high, he still needed to take a chance.

'Even though I have decided on the person I will confess, I still need to deal with my current situation.'

With that in mind, Akira was determined to talk to Runeas about the possibility of her taking him back to Japan.

At this moment, the underworld was in chaos.

Hypnos had finally finished his mission to kidnap Ingvild Leviathan. He thought that after kidnapping the girl, he would just have to retrieve Akira in the forest where he had dropped him, and then finally he could return home.

But something unexpected happened, when he returned to the forest he had left Akira in, he realized that the boy was gone, and there was no sign of him throughout the underworld.

"Someone dared to break the barrier I set up?" Hypnos muttered coldly as he flew over the underworld.

He knew that it was impossible for Akira to break his barrier on his own, so the only possibility left was that someone had broken his barrier and taken Akira to who knows where.

That shouldn't be a problem, since Hypnos didn't care much for Akira, but he knew that if he didn't bring Akira back, he would suffer consequences he couldn't even imagine.

'I need to find him!'

With those thoughts, he put Ingvild on one arm and began to search all the noble mansions of the underworld, avoiding only those that had ancient monsters sleeping.

The underworld was in chaos due to Hypnos' actions, it got to the point where Sirzechs the current Maou, was forced to send his wife and queen to deal with the situation.

Back to England.

"So you said you have a problem to solve in Japan, and that's why you want to go back?" Runeas said with a mischievous smile, at this point she was sitting on a bench in a little square that was relatively empty.

"Yes, I assure you that as soon as I solve my problem I will return to England."

'Pft! Once you leave me in Japan I will never return, in fact whenever I feel you are near I will distance myself as far away as possible to avoid you finding me.'

With a pitiful expression, Akira hoped to convince Runeas who was looking at him with a funny look.

'Damn, why is this woman looking at me this way? It's not possible right? She doesn't intend to let me go?'

"So about..."

"There are still places I want to visit in England, so you won't be able to come back."

Before Akira could finish his speech, Runeas interrupted him while saying word for word with a smile on her face. She realized how much fun it was to tease Akira.

'Why am I doing this? He had already completed his part of the deal...'

Even with these thoughts, she still wanted Akira to accompany her, as she felt comfortable next to him, who seemed to treat her not as an ancestor of the Gremory clan, but as a friend.

Akira hearing Runeas' words almost spat blood and fainted.

"Damn, that damn thing wants to see me die?" He thought angrily as he stared at Runeas with a resentful look.

He knew he couldn't leave without the consent of the woman in front of him, that was because her strength was even stronger than the man who had taken him to the underworld.

'I guess that's all I can try...'

With some strange thoughts in his mind, Akira decided to accompany Runeas for the next few days.

[A warning to the host, there are only 24 hours left until the mission to confess to the opposite sex is over] The cold voice of the system sounded.

Akira who was sleeping in a hotel room, woke up with the sudden warning from the system.

Two days!

He had accompanied Runeas for two whole days, and yet the woman still would not allow him to return to Japan. Every time he mentioned going back to Japan, she said that she had not yet seen all of England, so they could not go back.

On the second day, Akira considered going to confession to some ordinary woman in England, as he was confident in his appearance of the supernatural, but unfortunately the system had warned him that this was impossible, as he should go to confession to someone who belonged to the 'supernatural'.

'Damn system, the only person who belongs to the supernatural, and who is closest to me at the moment is Runeas, you don't want me to confess to her right?'

But even with those thoughts, he knew that there was only Runeas to whom he could confess, so he had decided that before the mission time was up, he would confess to her.

Even if he failed the mission, he would still have tried.

"I hope I have the same luck as the time I confessed to Rias."

With a murmur, he decided to prepare for today. He knew that today would determine if he could become one of the strongest beings in the world, or if he would just be someone with a high talent.

Without much thought, he went to the door of Runeas' room, ready to call her in for breakfast.

But before he could knock on the door to wake her up, he realized that the door was half open.

Sensing no one inside the room, he decided to give himself a chance and entered the room in which Runeas was staying for the night.

Entering the room, he could not feel any trace of Runeas, it was as if she had disappeared.

The bed she had slept in for the past two days was tidy, even the clothes she had bought were not in the closet in the room.

"F**K! Don't tell me she's gone?!"

Akira was now desperate, if Runeas did indeed leave, then he would be doomed!
