C H A P T E R - 3

"What do you mean she's at the hospital?! I just saw her this morning and she's doing fine?"

"Did you two have a fight, Ms. Corinth?"

Then she gave me this stern look "Because she collapsed after you left. And thank God someone came in to check on her since she was not answering the phone. You should know better not to stress her right?"

I'm really confused here...

Am I missing something here?

Is she sick?

"Principal Harmsworth, what do you mean about that? She's perfectly healthy and fine to me."

"Well she's not!"

*sighs*

"I guess she really didn't tell you after all. Look, I'm not talking to you as your principal. I'm also talking to you as your second parent as well.

She's my friend and I'm sure you know that. I just didn't expect that she would keep this from you. And I hate to be the one who's going to tell you this.

Sara, your aunt, is...sick."

I'm..so stoke right now. What does she mean?

"Sick..? what do you mean sick?"

With those words, she really didn't make it hard for me to understand what she meant "cancer... She has cancer."

I sat down on the chair, my mind went blank...and all of I can think of to say was "W-why didn't she say anything to me?"

"Because she didn't want you to worry for her. She wants you to be happy and worry about nothing, I know she's suppose to tell you soon enough.. but I guess you found it out the hard way now.

I'm so sorry sweetheart."

Tears starts to fall from my eyes...God, she didn't have to keep this secret to me.

She's the only one that I have in my life...what is wrong with her?!

"So...what did the doctor said? is she okay?"

"Well, she's going to be okay. She was just really stressed, and somehow with your "argument" she just collapsed."

This is my fault?...But how should I know.. but then again, there was no reason for me to have an argument with her.

Crap!

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?!?

"Sara, she wanted me to tell you not to blame yourself. It's her fault that she didn't tell you sooner.

And you don't have to worry about her, she's gonna be fine."

"Oh good. Good."

"Sara, if you want to visit her, I can give you a slip."

"R-really? that'd be great." Now I have a reason to have a breather for once. Literally I'm not in a nood to attend classes, and I have to go to the hospital right away.

"But you don't have to let your classmates know okay?"

"Yes Mam."

She took out the bundled paper and wrote down that I'm excused to leave the campus early due to Family concerns. Then she torn out the slip and gave it to me "You take care now Ms. Corinth. I will see you tomorrow."

"I will. Thank you".

As I was on my way out to the door, she said "And Sara, please give her my regards ."

"Okay, Aunt Josephine."

"Take care Sara."

I closed the door and walked straight to the gates of the campus and showed to our guards that I'm allowed to leave the campus..God this school is really strict when people come and go here.

I took a taxi and went to the hospital. When I arrived, I asked where my aunt's room is. The nurse at the front desk seems nice.

"Yes sweetie can I help you?"

"yes. uhm my aunt was confined here at the hospital just this morning. and I want to visit her. can you tell me what room is she assigned to?"

"Sure. Let me check the patients who came In. name of the patient please?" as she was about to type the name in the search bar "its Olivia. Olivia Corinth." she suddenly stop. And then the look on her face somehow changed.

"oh...so you're her. The niece? Sara?" She looked at me in the face. like she's looking for a fight or something. Somehow she looks so familiar. Have I met her before? Why do I get the feeling that she's pissed at me.

"uhm yes. How did you know I'm her niece?"

"well you're the reason she's here right?" okay...this nurse definitely has a problem with me.

"huh..is there a problem here?"

"yes. bitch. that's my mother that you in the hospital bed."

wait.. her mother?.. But that's impossible! I thought Libby never had a kid? "Sorry. But.. do I know you? have we met before?"

"oh, so you DON'T remembered me? after what you did to me?! REMEMBER!?"

"Miss calm down. I don't want any trouble. and first of all I don't even know you..." I looked around and noticed people were starting to look in our direction. This cant be good. "I don't remember anything...I don't even know what you're talking about.. I..I just met you. I just want to visit Libby."

Suddenly her atmosphere changed and she started to yell at me "LIAR!! YOU KNEW ME SARA!! YOU KNEW ME!! YOU TOOK EVERYTHING AWAY FROM ME!! EVERYTHING!!! YOU F#$!ING BITCH!!" then she started to hit me when she was saying those words.

I didn't managed to dodge her punches on my face. And I have to cover my face with my arms. I was at no position to hurt her. Especially I don't even know what the hell she's blabbing about.

" ouch!! stop it!! what the hell?! stop it!"

"YOU LIAR!! LIAR LIAR!!! ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!"

Some of the nurses and the patients helped me from stopping her to punch me. I heard some from her co-workers saying "Maggie calm down please!".

Maggie? Did I know her?

Then the head of the ward came in and gave her something to calm her down.. She can't inject her properly because the nurse was struggling so hard to punch me so the ward sister asked some of the staff to hold her down "Hold her still!"

Then she was given a sedative, and I guess a powerful one too because a few seconds later she was out.

Then I saw the matron came in and called the attention of the guard "Sir I need you to get a wheelchair and take her into the room. The nurses will show you where to take her."

Then she looked at the patients and staff "Okay everyone back to your own businesses. shows over! nothing to see here now.".

"Gina?"

She looked to my direction and somehow she recognized me even if I haven't seen her in a while "Oh my God Sara its you! My God It's been years! how are you?"

**flashback**

Gina was my closest sister (that's how I think of her, since I don't have one) that I could ever have since I was a kid. She was the one who took care of me when my family got in the accident. While Aunt Libby is away from work Regina was the one who was always looking after me. And she told me that she'll always be there for me as my big sister. I was so happy then. A few weeks later I noticed that Gina isn't around. So I asked one of the nurses if she was okay.

"I'm sorry but she was re-assigned to another hospital. Apparently they're short on staff and they've requested Miss Regina to be there as well. Oh she gave me this letter. its for you."

That gave me an idea that she will never come back. so I didn't bother to read her letter. I just threw it at the trashcan.
