CHAPTER 51… VOWS

After Lunch, Selena and Bella were seated in the lounge and watching the TV when Timothy came in. Mrs. Johnson had just brought them a bowl of warm popcorn and some fruit juice.

"I am going out." Timothy said, planting a soft kiss on Selena's hair. He went on to plant another one on Bella's hair too.

"I thought you were not going to work today." Selena remarked to see him nod.

He told her that, "There's something I have to deal with. I'll be back in an hour's time."

"Okay. Bye"

Timothy nodded and left. Selena turned to Bella who had been silent and kissed her face.

"Baby, you didn't tell your daddy goodbye." Selena said. "Why?"

Since she had woken up that morning, she has only spoken once to Selena. Most times, she would sit quiet and stare into nothing. It bothered Selena.

Bella looked up with doll eyes and asked, "Will daddy come back?"

Selena nodded.
