7 The Golden Scroll

Evelin was sunned while the wish of Rin was sinking in her mind.

"Honey, what did you say?"

Evelin asked Rin just to confirm if she had heard her daughter correctly.

In the silent room which was even missing a window so no sound from outside could enter, the two beauties looked at each other.

'Is it too early?'

Rin wondered before answering Evelin.

"Mom I want to become strong. Stronger than everyone."

Rin repeated her answer with details.

Rin could see the expression on Evelin's face.

Her expression was telling that Evelin couldn't believe that Rin was saying that.

Evelin couldn't say it directly to her daughter but it was hard to hide her shock.

"Dear, you were never interested in power and strength so why now?"

Evelin asked Rin with a worried look.

"Plus your body can't even handle it."

She got up from the bed leaving Rin sitting there.

"Mother I don't know why but I have this explosive urge that is telling me to become strong."

Rin told Evelin her reason.

She phrased it differently replacing the God of Fate 'Cupid' with the urge.

Even if she told her that it was some heavenly entity that had given her this mission, Evelin wouldn't have believed Rin.

'I don't want her to think that my brain is damaged, again.'

Rin thought as she waited for Evelin to understand what she was saying.

"It must be her mix blood that is getting stronger."

Evelin mumbled as she heard Rin's point.

'Huh?'

Rin couldn't understand what Evelin had said about her right then a sound invaded their silent space.

"AWOOOOH."

It was the sound of a wolf cry which was so loud that Rin was shaken to the core.

While shaking Rin was embraced by Evelin.

"It's okay. It's your father. Don't worry."

Evelin calmed Rin down but even she had a worried look on her face.

Ron would rarely use his Wolf Cry which was a technique that all the werewolves could use from birth. But the strength of the howl depended on the status of the werewolf. Ron could easily be counted among the top echelon of the werewolf race.

'He never used his Wolf Cry while being around Rin so why now?'

Evelin questioned the reason behind her husband's action as she stopped embracing Rin who had already calmed down.

Evelin then proceeded to leave the room.

"Mom wait for me."

Rin decided to follow Evelin outside.

After leaving the house Evelin could see that Ron was in an angry mood as his arms were filled with wolf fur while a blackish thick beard had appeared on his clean and handsome face.

Rin was also seeing this form of her father.

The usually aloof father of hers was now really looking like a wolf prince from some fantasy story.

'A handsome version of the beast from the beauty and the beast.'

Rin assumed as she looked at her father who was staring towards the sky.

'What's that?'

A questioning look had locked on Rin's face as she also moved her sight towards the thing in the sky.

"Awoooooo."

"It's a Crimson Drago."

Evelin told her daughter while Ron was still trying to scare it away.

They were hiding on this island so how did a crimson Drago, a type of lower dragon species reach them.

"Gu gu gu gu gu."

Rin was looking at the little red dragon that was flying in the sky.

She could swear that it was a pigeon just the color was red and the size of the fangs was bigger. Except for the color, even the voice of this Crimson Drago was the same as that of a pigeon from her world.

"It's here to deliver something."

Ron told Evelin and Rin with a nervous look on his face.

They had never made contact with anyone for the last thirteen years.

Was their peaceful life going to end now?

Ron and Evelin had the same thought. But during these last years, they had matured enough to say that their minds were free from the shackles of the past.

Bang!

Ron jumped from the ground with such a fierce force that an explosion sound was left behind where he was a moment ago. The next moment he was already on the ground with the Crimson Drago in his hand.

"Gu gu gu gu gu."

The Crimson Drago made some cute noises after which it puked something out on Ron's other hand.

"He is saying that I shouldn't hurt him as he is only doing his job."

Ron translated what the pigeon-like dragon was saying to him.

Rin was stupefied after listening to the words of the Crimson Drago as she knew how hard the life of an employee was.

"Indeed you shouldn't hurt him."

She pleaded for the Crimson Drago who was looking at her with his sharp eyes that were begging for freedom from the monstrous hand of her father.

"I was carving for some Drago meat tonight but guess what? It's your lucky day, you little bastard."

Ron said to the little dragon as he released it.

"Gu Gu."

The little dragon looked at Rin and said something which went over Rin's head.

"He is thanking you."

Ron said as he walked over towards her daughter.

Rin bowed towards the Crimson Drago as it flew away after thanking her.

"What did he throw up in your hand?"

Evelin asked Ron.

Rin also looked at the thing in Ron's hand which looked like an envelope.

'Prsshhh.'

Ron ripped open the envelope-type cloth to see the content inside it.

There was a golden scroll inside the thing. Ron was staring at it because of its enchanting shine that has mesmerized him.

It wasn't only Ron as Evelin was acting the same way.

Only Rin was looking at it normally.

"Dad open it."

Rin told her father which allowed Ron to get back on track.

He opened the scroll so they could see the text inside it. But to their shock the scroll was empty but the next second, something amazing happened.

The Golden Scroll started speaking.

<Announcement>

"Celebrating the 50th year of peace on the Eden Continent."

"Assemble for the Opening of the Asgard Academy."

"Learn from the best of the three Races."

"Join the Elites from among the Humans, Werewolves, and Vampires."

"Train to Become Strong and Leave your name in the History of Eden."

"Countdown: 7 days."

"Destination: Kingdom of Aztlan."

<The End>

The announcement ended.

The 50th year of peace was pointing at the time when the Kingdom of three races was formed, that is, the joint kingdom, Kingdom of Aztlan.

Rin with her parents looked at the scroll in surprise as an alarm sound started.

'Beep.'

'Beep.'

.

.

"Dad throw it away."

Rin shouted at Ron with a suspicious look.

Ron without questioning her words threw away the scroll towards the sky.

Boom!

The scroll had self-destructed but the explosion was small contrary to Rin's reaction.

'It was indeed a ticking bomb.'

Rin thought as she felt proud for saving Ron from the smallest explosion in the history of mankind.
