35 35- Rescue Mission (2)

Noah had traveled for a few hours before he saw the first sign of boarder patrol from the Diamond kingdom. It was a small platoon of mages. Most of them had communication magic and tracking magic. Their job is not to stop the any invaders, but rather to let the higher ups know that there are invaders. Since they weren't that strong, Noah was able to easily sneak past them.
After passing the first small platoon, Noah ran into another platoon. Again, all of them had some sort of communication magic. After passing them, Noah ran into another platoon.
[Just how many platoons are we going to sneak past?] - Draco complained
[Who knows Draco. We will just keep going regardless] - Noah
[Oh what is this] - Draco suddenly asked
[You feel it too?] - Noah
[Yeah. It's about a kilometer away from here. Should we stop by and check it out?] - Draco
[It's in our way, so we can stop for a short moment] - Noah
Noah kept on moving forward. About a kilometer later he found a small lake in the middle of a baren area. It was a weird sight. The lake was very small, barely bigger than a bath tub, honestly its more like a puddle. The puddle itself was as pure as can be. The water is so clear that it looked almost like it was made out of crystal. There was an insane amount of natural mana in that water. It was so dense and thick, when Noah moved his hand the mana moved as well. It was so thick that physical contact was enough to stir it.
[What is this water?] - Noah
[I think my mother used to drink this liquid. If I remember correctly its liquid mana essence] - Draco
[Mana essence?] - Noah was not sure what he was looking at. From the name he can have a rough guess as to what it is, but he still wanted to confirm
[Yes. Natural mana flows through the earth. Think of it like a living body. There are small blood vessels, major veins and arteries, and so on. Mana has a similar construction. Mana flows everywhere but there are some places where mana is concentrated more, aka major veins. This place however is undisturbed. So it's tranquil and full of pure mana] - Draco
[From what you say, then it's good to have. You said your mother used to drink it, so it must be some good stuff. Do you know how it can it be extracted] - Noah
[Even though it's pure mana, it's so dense that it became physical. Honestly it can be extracted by putting it in simple mana vessels] - Draco
[I don't have anything like that...how about my grimoire, can it be stored there] - Noah
[Yes. Your grimoire can store mana, from what I can tell it seems to have an infinite space for mana storage] - Draco
Noah had ordered his grimoire to open up. He willed the grimoire to store the mana essence in front of him. The grimoire flipped pages quickly until it reached an empty page. A small stream of liquid rose from the small puddle and started to dance it's way through the air until it reached the grimoire.
It took Noah about 15 minutes before the all the essence was all stored in his grimoire. Noah closed his eyes and focused on the essence stored in his grimoire. Even though Noah had taken a puddle's worth of liquid essence, the pressure it gave off was so powerful, it was like a raging ocean.
[This is some very potent stuff. The amount of mana is insane! If I were to count every single drop of mana I ever had since my birth, it won't even compare to a fraction of this liquid] - Noah was very surprised
[Of course! You think my mother, the most noble of all would drink just some liquid] - Draco spoke with pride in his voice
[I see. So, should I drink it?] - Noah
[NO. You might die if you do] - Noah
[What? Why? I thought you said that your mother used to drink it] - Noah
[Yes, a fully mature divine dragon with the most powerful mana circuit and the holy body blessed by heaven itself. You drink it, you will explode like a balloon] - Draco
[Then what about you? Can you drink it?] - Noah
[I might be able to drink a small sip, actually maybe a small lick might be my limit for now] - Draco
[What else can it be used, other than drinking it] - Noah
[Oh! You actually can use it to forge weapons, it can also be used in making magic items] - Draco
[Really?] - Noah was excited. Obviously using something this good in making a magic item, will cause the magic item to be insanely good
[Don't you dare experiment with something this precious. Wait until we get more of it before you experiment with it. At the very least wait until you're a master at crafting magic items] - Draco
[You know where we can get more?] - Noah was even more excited. If he has a decent amount of this liquid he can make multiple items
[My mother had a lake, full of this stuff.] - Draco
[Where] - Noah quickly asked
[It's where I used to live] - Draco
[Alright then Draco. Lets get super strong so that we can beat your sister and get the lake full of this beautiful juice] - Noah said with determination
[...You want to beat her so you can get the liquid, not because she almost killed me!] - Draco was bamboozled
[Hahaha, of course Draco.]
[*Sigh* You shameless bastard] - Draco
[Takes one to know one] - Noah laughed again
[What does that even mean] - Draco
Noah stopped joking around with Draco and kept on travelling to his destination.

*Four Hours Later*
Noah had reached the mountain range where the spy was hiding. The spy was using a magic item to hid her mana completely. So Noah had to find her through hidden marks that she would've left at certain places.
[Should we go in deeper into the mountain range?] - Draco
[No. The spy is trying to escape, best chances are that she would've slowly made her way towards the Northern side of the range. So we will go there first] - Noah asked as he kept moving northwards.
[Huh? Why? I thought she would've moved to the west since that is the direction of the clove kingdom] - Draco
[The mountain range is right at the northwestern corner of the diamond kingdom. To the south of the range there is more of the diamond kingdom. The east leads right into the heart of the diamond kingdom. The 13th division know that the safer option is to cross into the clover kingdom through the western side of the mountain range. But the spy is most likely to go north and travel through the mana zone] - Noah
Noah and Draco went on to travel as fast and discreetly as possible. About an hour into their sneaking around, Noah and Draco sensed people travelling in the air.
Noah hid in a near by tree. A moment later, Noah saw 10 people fly over the tree he was hiding in. All of them were wearing robes with the number 13 drawn on the shoulder. They were scanning the area with their senses and magic items.
[It seems that the spy has stolen some important information, or they wouldn't have gone to all of that trouble] - Draco
[I don't know Draco. Some of these people are just insane and would do anything to get their hands on people to torture] - Noah
[Really? They would go this far just to torture someone?] - Draco was confused
[Yes. They torture their own people, some of them would love to get their hands on spies. Not to extract information, no, they think of torture as if it's a game]
Noah was able to escape the senses of the mages and the magic items. He kept on making his way towards the north.
Noah had reached the northern area of the mountain range. He then spotted the first hidden sign left behind by the spy.
[What if the 13th division catch on] - Draco suddenly asked
[Then we have to fight] - Noah said
[But if we fight they might know of who we are] - Draco
[The dead can't recognize people] - Noah
