Noah had returned to the base after explaining everything to the king.
'What an obnoxious man' - Noah thought as he was laying on his bed. He remembered the conversation he had with the king. Noah had been running around for so long, once he got to bed he went to sleep right away.
Noah had stayed in bed the whole day. He was too exhausted mentally, to do anything.
*Knock Knock*
"Come in" - Noah, who had just woken up, responded
Noah, who was still laying in bed, raised his head to look at the person who walked in. When the door opened, he was able to see Noelle walk in.
"You have been in your room the whole day. Are you ok?" - Noelle sounded concerned
"I'm just too tired from all the work I had to do in the last few days, that's all" - Noah said as he sat up on his bed.
"Well, we just got a letter from the wizard king. Apparently your achievements had been recognized by him. We are now at zero stars as oppose to negative fifty" - Noelle
"Oh! That's great, I bet everyone is happy" - Noah laughed
"Yeah, but that's not all. You've been promoted to Intermediate Magic Knight 3rd class." - Noelle said with happy tone
"That is very good. Though that means he will send me on harder missions *sigh*" - Noah said as he stood up and was stretching
The two of them walked out of the room and went downstairs. It was time for dinner, and Noah, who had been in his room all day, had gotten hungry.
"Hey hey, Noah your an intermediate magic knight now. Lets have a good fight. Let's go work up an apatite before dinner" - Luck was the first to run at Noah
"Maybe later Luck" - Noah said as he side stepped a punch from Luck
"Congrat-
"Oh you're all manly now, huh oh mighty intermediate magic knight" - Captain Yami tried to speak but Magna cut him off
"Good wo- Captain Yami was cut off again
"Here I made a cake just for you...maybe half a cake just for you" - Charmy gave him a cake before she took half of it for herself.
"Congr-
"Hey kiddo, you want to drink some great wine I just bought. It's very expensive, I'm sure you will like it" - Venessa cut in. She tried to tease him
"I highly doubt it will be as good as the wine served in the royal palace" - Noah teased her with a smile
"Royal palace wine?!" - Venessa's eyes shone when she heard what he said
"Say Noah, can't you do your big sis a big favor and get me some of that~" - Venessa tried to charm Noah
"WhAt ArE YoU DoInG?! Get off him!" - Noelle jumped in and pushed Venessa away
"hahahah" - Noah laughed when he saw his sister get flustered
"I҉'҉m҉ ҉g҉l҉a҉d҉ ҉t҉h҉a҉t҉ ҉m҉y҉ ҉d҉e҉a҉r҉ ҉f҉r҉i҉e҉n҉d҉ ҉g҉o҉t҉ ҉a҉ ҉p҉r҉o҉m҉o҉t҉i҉o҉n" - Some inaudible whispers got into Noah's ears. Noah turned around to look at Gordon in the corner speaking to himself.
'I have no idea what he said, but' "Thank you Gordon" -Noah said as he gave Gordon a smile
*BOOM BOOM BOOM*
"Luck you moron!! I'll kill you!!" - Magna, whose face was covered with cake, started firing magic at Luck who was running around the room.
"Catch me if you can. hahaha" - Luck started jumping around
*Tingle*
Noah felt a fluctuation of mana. Noah looked over and saw captain Yami's fist raised up high
'Shit'
Noah jumped behind the couch he was sitting on.
*BOOOOOOM*
"YOU MOROOONS!!" - Captain Yami shouted at them
The room became quite right away. Noah peaked up from behind the couch, he saw the wall behind the captain was completely smashed.
Everyone in the room looked at captain Yami for a few seconds in complete silence, before Asta walked in from another room.
"Man, that was quite the bathroom break" -Asta obliviously walked into the center of the room
"ĐØ ɎØɄ ₩₳₦₮ ₮Ø ĐłɆ" - Captain Yami said as blood lust leaked from him
"WAAAAAA! What did I do?" - Asta jumped away from the captain
"You pissed me off!" - The captain grabbed his head and threw him towards the couch. The same couch Noah was standing behind
'He's the only one who wasn't in the room when you got pissed' - Everyone on the room thought the same.
"I'll go take a dump. Don't cause a ruckus you idiots." - Captain Yami got up
After that, the room went back to being lively again. Though this time, Asta had to defend himself from Magna's attacks, since Luck thought it would be funny to stand in front of Asta and dodge in the last moment
Noah was smiling as he looked around the room, when his eyes landed on one corner of the room, his smile vanished.
"HEY! She's too young for that" - Noah stopped Venessa from giving Noelle some wine.
"You are no fun" - Venessa pouted
"Yeah you drunk witch. Get off her!" - Magna shouted as he was still firing shots at Luck
"Are you trying to start a fight you street punk! Luck beat him!" - Venessa
"hahahaha" - Luck was running around dodging all the attacks
"HEEEEEELP" - Poor Asta had to keep running too
"hahah Asta, watch out. Those crazy idiots might get you killed" - Finral said as he walked out of a portal.
"You watch out Finral!" - Asta shouted
Finral had to duck as a fire ball flew over him. The tips of his hair caught on fire.
"Watch it Magna!" - Finral
[Is this how human groups usually act?] - Draco
[No. Usually when people get in groups they try to one up each other. Compare to see who's better. Some things are used to compare directly, like how big your house is, or what you're wearing. Some don't compare directly, but there are things that would be used as indication to who's better than who. How you speak, what topics you talk about, and so on] - Noah
[Then why is this group different?] - Draco
[Because they're free. They don't have some noble family that's pressuring them, no one expects anything from them. They get to let loose. But that doesn't mean that any person who gets freedom would behave the same. It just means that these people are special. They're misfits, good misfits who don't belong to society, they only have each other] - Noah
The room remained hectic. Captain Yami came back and the whole squad started celebrating.

The next day Noah woke up early. On his way out of the base he saw Asta running around cleaning the place. Noah made it out of the base and went on to do some working out.
After the morning workout, he went inside to have breakfast with the rest of the squad.
"Listen up! It's your day off. You have 24 hours to screw around and do whatever you want" - Captain Yami said after breakfast was over.
"Yahoooo!" - The squad celebrated
Everyone started to come up with their own plans.
Everyone was doing their own thing. Noelle had decided to stalk Asta on his mixer event with Finral.
Noah had decided to go to the wizard king, there is something that he has been wanting to ask for a little while.
Noah flew for sometime before he got there. He then entered the magic knight HQ and went to the highest floor, straight to the wizard king's office.
*Knock Knock*
"Come in" - Julius' voice came from the other side of the door.
"Hello there" - Julius greeted as he saw Noah walk into his office
"Hello sir" - Noah
"What brings you here on your day off? Do you love work so much you want me to assign you a mission? Great there was this one issue in the town of Nin-" - Julius
"NO! I'm here to request your permission on something" - Noah cut Julius off
"oh I see" - Julius sounded sad when he said that
"So what is that you want my permission for?" - Julius went back to his normal happy attitude
"A while back I went on that Elder lich castle exploration. Back then there was a library full of books that we took from the castle. I want access to those books" - Noah
The smile on Julius' face vanished, "Why do you want that?"
"I'm interested in learning about ruins, and magic items in details" - Noah
"I'm sure the house Silva has their own magic ruins masters who can teach you" - Julius
"I'm interested in higher level ruins. Those hired by the royal families aren't that advanced." - Noah
"humm. I usually would deny that request since your rank as a magic knight isn't high enough, but I'll grant your request. On one condition" - Julius
Noah looked at Julius. Julius looked serious like there was a huge issue.
Suddenly stars appeared in Julius' eyes, he had this look about him, the same look he has when he talks about new types of magic "I don't have any time to read any of them, and Marx doesn't let me get a break. So if you find any interesting books, please tell me about them"
Noah almost face-palmed, but he just shock his head slightly and chuckled, "Sure thing"
Noah then was escorted by a mage from HQ. He was taken to gates that were located under the HQ castle. Noah walked through and found a massive library. The library was split into sections on both sides. Each section had the shape of a semicircle. In the middle of the semicircle there was a table. Each section had a small stand at the entrance of the semicircle. The stand had the name of the dungeon/ruins they were found in. It also had the date it was found, and there was a log in front of each section that had all the books names listed in that section.
The mage kept walking until they reached the section that had the elder lich ruins. After that, the HQ mage left. Noah walked into the section and looked around. Nothing in particular caught his eye more than the other. Noah then decided to take a look at the log with all the books names.
Noah excitedly started going through the list, until he saw a book in particular, the book's name had Noah shock for a moment
'How the hell is that here'
