Joseph was able to react at the last second and avoided serious injury by placing his hand in front of his chest however despite that he couldn't completely block the punch and several of his ribs were broken the impact also formed several cracks in the bones of Joseph's right hand.

After that Joseph hit the wall and fell Macho was following closely and as soon as he caught up to Joseph he tried to stomp his head Joseph was slippery because of the fact that he was half-naked and covered with the blood of zombies he had just killed.

Joseph kicked the wall as hard as he could and slipped out of harm's way as he was sliding on his back he placed his hands next to his head and used them to flip backward as soon he landed he saw the Macho rushing him.

but this time Joseph had a firm foothold and he was on balance even though Macho was stronger than him Joseph was way more experienced in CQC(close quarter combat) and he had the op skill Modern Martial Arts.

Macho threw a simple but powerful punch towards Joseph's head Joseph didn't let this chance go and he took advantage of Macho's punch which was full of openings he lowered his hip and moved close to the Macho when he was in place he responded with a powerful Left Uppercut hitting Macho's chin impact from the Uppercut broke Macho's Chin but it didn't deal that much damage to Macho it just made macho stagger a bit Joseph followed by a series of Different punches but even after hitting Macho for more than 20 times in just the span of few seconds it didn't deal that much dmg to him.

Macho was mad and after he gained his balance back he started swinging left and right like an angry bull trying to hit Joseph but Joseph was too experienced getting hit by those simple moves he countered each one of them he followed up with hitting the Macho back.

Macho was extremely angry he was on the receiving end of the exchanges for the past few minutes.

He finally used his skill the one that he had gained from becoming a soldier zombie (First rank).

Joseph was really unlucky to face this rare skill at the beginning of the apocalypse the dangerous and super rare skill was Last stand (B) it was a skill that unlike its name you could use it at any given time it wasn't just a last resort, this skill would increase the stats of the user based on the opponent's stats even if the opponent was weaker it would still increase all stats by 5.

The only reason Joseph was able to fight the macho without getting hit was their equal agility but if macho agility suddenly increased it would become a different story.

Joseph didn't expect it to happen after the stats gain Macho quickly stomped the ground using another p*ssy boy strat it caused Joseph to lose his balance and before he could react he got hit on his left side sending him flying but this time there was no wall to stop him he hit the ground and bounced several times before stopping.

Godiva couldn't believe what had just happened Joseph's HP was near zero the only reason he didn't die was the fact that the punch couldn't completely connect to his body.

Joseph felt dizzy and lost Consciousness.

He thought this time he was dead but Plo... ehm fate had other plans for him he opened his eyes to find himself in the middle of a beautiful garden Birds chirping, Sound of water flowing and pouring in a small pond from a thin stream of water the aroma of many different beautiful and fragrant flowers made Joseph just say a few words.

As Joseph was wondering if this was the heaven and the final resting place said in many religions he heard a gentle and kind voice similar to how a caring grandma would sound like humming a calming melody coming from beyond the archway covered by vines and beautiful flowers with different colors White, Yellow, Pink and light blue.

Joseph walked through the archway that was 4 meters tall and 10 meters wide he walked for about 30 meters when he finally reached the exit.

on the other side a beautiful woman in her 60s was sitting on the dock of a shallow pond that had a diameter of 100 meters there were fishes frogs and a lot of beautiful lotus inside the pond it was a magnificent sight to see.

The old lady greeted Joseph and invited him to join her there were no other seats so Joseph sat on the dock, Old lady looked at him and with a gentle voice told him to get closer and place his head on her lap.

Joseph didn't know why but he listened and did what she told him to do as soon as the Old lady started to gently and slowly caress Josephs's head tears started to flow down his face he didn't know what having a caring grandmother was like but it must have been something like this Joseph slowly fell asleep.

He dreamed of a beautiful plain dyed green with grass on the right side a little distance away from Joseph was a big Willow tree under the willow tree 3 people were sitting 1 adult woman and 2 teenagers one girl and one boy, a little bit ahead of them in a wide stream of water that flowed extremely slow and calm 3 kids were playing.

all of their faces were blurry but they didn't feel distant to Joseph he got closer and sat down under the tree next to the 3 people he saw from afar the adult women handed him a 1-year-old child joseph felt happy and in peace as he held the child in his embrace, for some reason Joseph thought this was where he truly belonged to, they were his family his wife and kids as Joseph extended his hand to grab one of the delicious-looking sandwiches he suddenly woke up leaving a bitter taste in his mouth and making him feel like he needs to eat one of those sandwiches no matter what.

Joseph suddenly remembered that he was in the middle of a fight as he wanted to ask the Old lady, she told him that he doesn't have to worry he is still alive and as soon as he returns from this place he will continue from the moment he hit the ground.

Now that Joseph knew he was alive he asked the Old lady who she was she replied with a beautiful smile.

As she looked at him waiting for him to say something no matter how hard Joseph tried he couldn't bring himself to ask what the dream he saw was he tried but couldn't ask anything.

After the old lady waited for Joseph to say something but just saw him try to mutter some words but to no avail.

She smiled and gently said I don't know what you dreamed about but you should keep it to yourself and just try to figure out about it at a later date but right now you need to be focusing on learning how to control your mana if you can't do it in the next 4 days you will return to reality and die a miserable death.
