This is a Disaster!

The crowd who were witnessing the intense stare contest formed their mouths into an 'O' as soon as Liam dropped the 'cheating asshole' phrase. Gerald himself is taken aback by how unperturbed and calm Liam is by spitting such words.

Standing behind Liam is a surprised Brielle, her jaw drops to the floor and her eyes grew big with what he has said. Liam held her wrists tighter, feeling bad that he had to say it out loud.

'How did Liam know?' Brielle asks herself because she does not recall telling him about it.

Gerald laughed in disbelief, slightly embarrassed by what Liam had said. "What did you just call me? A cheating asshole? You've got some guts, huh? Who are you by the way?!" He asked, gritting his teeth.

Gerald's eyes are burning with anger and he could punch Liam any moment from now. What's keeping him from doing so is the fact that there are many people around. Doing so would make him look extra guilty even though almost everybody knows he did cheat on Brielle.

Liam's knuckles turned white and he was already about to blow a hit on Gerald's face when Brielle stepped in between them stopping Liam, "He is my boyfriend, so why?!" She shouted so loud that everyone was taken aback, mouths dropped to the floor.

Even Gerald gasped and put his palm over his mouth in disbelief.

'Where did she find this handsome guy?' Gerald asks at the back of his mind.

A few hours after the commotion at the party, Brielle and Liam drove back to their neighborhood. The drive is painfully silent, making Brielle regret every word she said earlier. She is mentally punching herself to the face thinking how dumb she must have been to do so.

Brielle just could not believe how dumb it was to actually say that Liam is her boyfriend. She could not even dare to take a look at his face fearing she may die out of embarrassment.

She held her head low all throughout the ride. Liam pulled up outside their house and spent a silent time inside the car. He wanted to apologize as to how he acted out earlier. He never really thought of the boyfriend declaration seriously but little did he know that Brielle is so troubled about it.

"Look," They turned to each other and spoke at the same time after a few minutes of silence. Liam said, "You go first," And motioned his hand as if to encourage Brielle to talk.

Brielle fixed her posture and cleared her throat. She played with her fingers, "Well, I am so sorry for what happened earlier. I shouldn't have told him that you are my boyfriend. I am so sorry, Liam. That was so dumb." She bit her lips and stammered a little.

She does know how Liam will react but throughout the ride back home, she prepared herself for the worse for saying such a thing.

Liam exhaled and rubbed the bridge of his nose using his thumb and pointer finger, "It's okay, really. I should be the one apologizing to you. I caused trouble," He said in an apologetic tone.

Thankfully, they did not talk about the boyfriend thing again. Brielle is now slumped on her bed, staring blankly at the ceiling while contemplating the things that took place today. It was indeed chaotic.

There's Gerald who obviously loves to mock her and Liam has now turned to be her savior. She clearly remembers how she used to defend him from the school bullies and now, she never pictured him out to be the one taking her side. Brielle yawned until her eyes closed on their own.

The following day, Brielle thought it would be best to avoid Liam. She feels bad about doing so but she thinks it is the only way to save her face.

As soon as she woke up, Brielle immediately rushed downstairs to help Audrey prepare breakfast but before she could even do so, Audrey held her phone close to her face.

"What's this? You're being weird, Audrey." Brielle asked as she squinted her eyes to see what was on the screen. She could not see it clearly because Audrey's phone was too close to her face, making her cross-eyed.

Audrey has this mischievous grin on her face, "I didn't know you were dating Liam. You sure looked like you were a damsel in distress last night," She whistled on her way back to the kitchen while Brielle stood erect as if her feet were glued to the floor upon hearing what Audrey just said.

Color drains from Brielle's face as her jaws drop to the floor. "The worst has come," She said to herself, her mouth left agape.

"Good morning, my beautiful daughters!" Their mom placed a plate full of side dishes on the table while all smiles.

Apparently, someone took a picture of what happened between Liam, Brielle, and Gerald last night and posted it on social media. It garnered hundreds of likes and comments from the students in their school. Some were negative while some are supporting Brielle and Liam. Some even commented on how good he looks.

'Did Audrey show the picture to Mom? No way!' Brielle internally panics and takes big strides to the kitchen and asks Audrey herself.

"Did you already show the video to Mom?" She whispered to her but managed to make her voice sound stern. Audrey is unfazed with her question and smiles.

Audrey replied, "Mom, what do you think about Liam and Brielle?" To tease her fuming mad younger sister Brielle.

Their Mom looked to Brielle's direction with the loving gaze she always had, "The two of them look so good together!" She said and smiled so wide with her eyes.

The breakfast seemed like a nightmare for Brielle as the conversation revolved around what happened the night before. She was encouraged to share the details as to what really happened and Brielle could not help but scream internally.

How can she ever face Liam at this rate? She doesn't even know if he has a girlfriend yet she tactlessly declared him as her boyfriend. Brielle shut her eyes close and shook her head. She is going crazy!

Since it is the weekend, Audrey and Cali stayed home while their Mom went mountain hiking with some friends at work and would not be home until dinner time. Brielle wanted to lock herself inside her room but Cali insisted they all cook something to surprise their Mom for dinner.
