Frontera Barony

The Frontera Barony was a region full of mountains. The presence of mountains were due to a dormant volcano. The volcano was named YellowSpike and it had erupted only once as far as anyone remembered. Most of the people of Barony lived in small coastal patches. The mountains were mostly uninhabitable and that only left a tiny stretch of coastal lands. People in the Barony made a living out of fishing but most were living in unhygienic conditions. Frequent flooding and landslides also caused a lot of damage to the property and left a already debt ridden Baron more debt ridden.

Lui was in the Frontera Barony having a meeting with Baron Lloyd Frontera regarding expansion of salt mines in the Barony. The salt produced in the Barony would be mostly sold to the Baron household and the rest would be for the fishermen for eating, storing or what ever they wanted to do. But the salt would be sold at half the market price because of already existing debts. Lui, being a genius made an offer to the Baron to reduce his debts.

"My Lord, you have many debts to repay. Most of your income comes through fishing. But it is very small. I have a proposal." Lui said as Lloyd's eyes showed hope and curiosity. "You know that futball is becoming famous recently. I am hosting a tournament in Lump and I want to invite you to be present there. You can form your own team and send it to compete. But that's your choice. " Lui said.

"But how will that decrease my loans? "

"That was merely to promote the culture of futball in your Barony. The main proposal is that I have seen red soil in abundance in your lands. I want to use the red soil to make bricks. These bricks, they make your house more sturdy. It will reduce your reparation costs by a lot." Lui proposed. The system had said something about it. Lui trusted the thing and made his proposal based on that.

"I want to see a sample. If it is good, then I will give you the permission to use that red soil to build bricks. If not, then you are free to leave." Lloyd said to Lui. "Ok then. I accept. "

A makeshift shack had been made for Lui to carry out his experiment. Lui had asked for some soil, water, sand and some grass. First Lui mixed the soil and water into a thick mud. Then he mixed it with grass and sand and gave it a cuboidal shape.

Then he put the bricks to dry in the sun. Of course it could be made faster by using charcoal, but for that they had to make a very big kiln but Llyod didn't allow for it.

While the bricks were drying, Lui took the time to explore the mountains in the Barony being accompanied by Lloyd's guards.

There were many caves in the mountains. While exploring one of those caves, Lui came across coal. When he further explored the cave, he found out that the whole mountain was a giant coal mine waiting to be mined. But Lui didn't stop there, he began exploring near the YellowSpike.

He found some weird black sand which looked suspicious.

What the fu- Atleast this cement thing was useful. But he has found volcanic ash, water can be procured, but what about this slaked lime.
