The Beginning of the Long-Awaited Debut

Early in the morning of the 20th of April, 2XXX.

Musutafu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

In the popular coffeehouse joint, Stellarbucks. Curious customers had their eyes on a particular table where a peculiar group resided.

"Who do you think they are?"

"They look like civil servants."

"Why do they look cool for some reason."

Murmurs resounded from the curious ones as they kept their eyes pointed at the group.

The group who received the attention of frequent customers wore black suits and civil-servant-like attires.

Amongst them was Lady Nagant.

Tsutsumi Kaina was a tall and curvy lady. She has indigo-colored hair with numerous scattered pinkish streaks.

Lady Nagant appeared cold and elegant, yet the fallen heroine seemed like a gallant warrior in the eyes of others.

Her quirk was Rifle.

It was an interesting quirk that allowed her to extend a rifle from her right elbow. She loaded bullets through the hole in the center of her palm. Her firing range was also at an impressive distance of 3 kilometers.

Another one in the group was Konrad.

His name had long been lost, so he goes with his codename. He was a mutated human who became a humanoid polar bear.

Because of his circumstances, one must feed him.

Otherwise, he'll go on a rampage.

Besides that, he was a stern and hardworking individual who'd obey the words of the one who fed him.

His quirk was Polar King.

It was a mutation quirk that allowed him to have the endurance, power, and speed of the best polar bear. He could also control other polar bears, though who brings polar bears to Japan?

The last of the black-suited group was Makima.

Their Master.

Makima was a gorgeous lady who looked like a saint.

The most notable of her appearance was her hair shaded in crimson blood and golden irises that could easily hypnotize others.

She seemed easy-going and pleasant since she maintained a smile that could soothe others' hearts. Her amiable appearance was also enough to make people bark for her.

Her quirk was Halt.

Not much was known about it other than its capability to mind control a mass group of people without any side effects. Only those seen by her could be affected by the quirk, but once seen.

None would be able to escape her grasp.

These three were the first members of the premature law-enforcement agency, the Counter Division.

At the moment, they were deep inside the Musutafu City for official Counter Division business. Though, in reality, they weren't deployed on a mission by the government.

They were following the whims of their Master.

"Master, what are we doing here in Musutafu. Shouldn't we be preparing to construct our official headquarters?"

"Where will we go without a place to stay?"

Lady Nagant grumbled while drinking her black coffee. She was somewhat worried about how the Counter Division would fare in the hero society.

There was also the Hero Public Safety Commission. Who knows how those pigs would react to the existence of the Counter Division.

They'll probably start lobbying for politicians to discontinue the organization. Perhaps, even use the media and public pressure to force the hands of the higher echelons.

"I received critical information from my trusted intelligence network."

"Something big will happen in this city."

Makima wasn't bothered by the grumbling puppy, Lady Nagant. She just took a sip from her milk and gazed at the distance through the coffeehouse's windows.

"Trusted intelligence network?"

Lady Nagant wondered what this trusted intelligence network was.

Makima merely smiled at her without explaining much about it. Lady Nagant didn't continue to ask more questions since the ways of her Master were secrets that should be kept untold.

'Though, an incident might take place in this city. After all, my Master rarely took interest in things.'

'If she does, however, a disaster might occur on the one she's interested in.'

During these few days with her Master, Lady Nagant learned about the eccentric personality Makima had. Her Master's desire for peace and amusement was as ironic as it was peculiar.

"Master, will something happen in that academy?"

Out of nowhere, the quiet polar bear who was peacefully drinking his hot chocolate began entering the discussion of the two ladies.

Lady Nagant realized the meaning of Konrad's words.

"To think a villain would dare to attack U.A. High School."

"I can't fathom whether they're arrogant, foolish, or brave."

"Perhaps all three."

Lady Nagant shook her head as in the lifetime of U.A. High School. It was never attacked once. If this incident broke out, it would cause waves in Japan and perhaps the world.

"We don't need to think much about our prey. The only thing we need to do is hunt disastrous villains as spoken in our duties."

The polar bear didn't care about what the villain felt, as it wasn't his job to do so. His Master had acquired him to hunt prey.

And he shall do so.

"I'm glad you understand, Konrad."

Makima praised while scratching the polar bear's chin, making him relax and lose his formidable bear strength.

The fingers of his Master weren't to be underestimated. Its power could cause the greatest of beasts to wag their tails.

Lady Nagant gazed upon the two and didn't know what to feel. Perhaps a little bit jealous. But she understood that she was a human and shouldn't be treated as an animal.

'That's right. This isn't something to be jealou-'

"Lady Nagant, give me your hands."

Without hesitation or delay, Lady Nagant placed her hand atop Makima's palm like an obedient puppy. This made her cheeks flush with pinkish red.

Makima kept rubbing Lady Nagant's hand with her pale and soft fingers. She gazed at the tall, curvy lady with her golden hypnotic gaze and pleasantly smiled.

"As the first members of the premature Counter Division, we must amass a grand reputation for our future puppies. To do so, we must hunt bloodthirsty villains."

"Since some ants are trying to mess with the U.A. High School. Why don't we debut in front of the future generation of heroes."

She stopped rubbing the hand of her puppy and stood up from her seat. Makima turned her gaze toward a particular direction and squinted her golden eyes.

"Well... would you look at that."

"The ants have started their assault."

Makima looked at her two adorable subordinates and uttered while walking away from the table.

"Let us take our leave and aid the future generation."

Lady Nagant and Konrad nodded as they followed their Master from behind.

Meanwhile, Makima thought about the U.A. High School. It was the series' core setting and was an integral part of the plot.

Judging from the date and how the series had just recently begun. The assault of the ants should be the start of the Unforeseen Simulation Joint Attack arc.

'I haven't done anything to meet the series' characters, so it's hard to not get curious about them. There's also one amongst them I am interested in.'

'Zero-Gravity.'

Meanwhile, in the U.A. academy's facility, Unforeseen Simulation Joint.

In the USJ's central plaza, a swirling portal of purplish miasma materialized out of nowhere.

Aizawa immediately noticed the portal and furrowed his eyebrows. The last thing he wanted to transpire happened. Bastards were now assaulting the USJ.

As the purplish portal transformed into a figure with a strange mask, a pale young man with grayish-bluish hair emerged from the violet fog.

He wore some strange dark clothing followed by fourteen embalmed hands throughout his body. They were a story of their own, a horrifying one.

The young man emitted an eerie and cold air before turning his head towards the students of Class 1-A. Upon seeing them, a beaming smile appeared on his face.

Aizawa looked back at his students and ordered.

"Gather together and don't move!"

"Thirteen, protect the students!"

Kirishima noticed the newly arrived guests and felt confused.

"What's that?"

His words brought everyone's attention to the plaza where several villains left the grasp of the purplish miasma.

"Is this like the entrance exam where the lesson's already started?"

Aizawa glanced at Kirishima with an expression asking if he was an idiot before shouting at his students.

"Don't move!"

Aizawa placed his cool-looking goggles over his eyes and remarked.

"Those are villains."

The students of Class 1-A were dumbfounded as they had difficulty understanding what they had heard.

After all, how could a large group of villains deeply penetrate U.A.'s territory without battling against a single professional hero?

It was basically impossible in their minds.

But nevertheless, dozens of villains stood before them.

At the moment when they were supposed to be practicing saving lives, they'll have to fight and survive in this desperate ordeal.
