Chapter 6: Destruction of The Blind Eye Society and Gideon (2)

Author's Note: I've added a few small details to Chapter 1 as it seemed to lack some precision.

Dipper not only has Vegapunk's intelligence and knowledge, but also the abilities of his devil fruit, but without negative effects (like a big head or weakness to seawater), since he had "the essence of Dr. Vegapunk" in the suspicious survey before his reincarnation.

Dipper's POV

After returning to the history museum, I started rummaging through every room in search of the location of the secret passage.

"Finally," I said with satisfaction as I found the mechanism to open the secret entrance of The Blind Eye Society organization.

I wonder if I can modify this thing to be able to manipulate memories by incorporating other elements into it.

It would literally be a capability similar to a certain "fullbring" that almost drove Ichigo Kurosaki crazy, or to the technology used in "cyberpunk" to learn martial arts.

"It's an extremely tempting but also dangerous idea, I have to be careful not to become addicted to manipulating intelligent beings," I muttered inwardly as I slipped into the corridor that had opened after activating the mechanism.

As I approached the end of the corridor, I began to hear murmurings or sounds similar to prayers before they suddenly stopped.

"Tell us, Mrs. Abuelita," said a man whose face was hidden under a hood.

"What have you seen that seems to have been troubling you for the past few days?" he questions an old woman who resembles Soos.

"I saw... a photo of my son and a little girl," she tries to explain, but she seemed too stressed to express herself properly.

"Ma'am, please give us more details," he demands, taking an apparatice resembling a Gun.

It was in a beautifully decorated box nearby.

"In that photo... there was a kid who had thrown himself at a sea monster with a Lightsaber ," she finally said.

"My dear son could have gotten in trouble," she mutters with a helpless air.

It seems I have underestimated the stupidity of Soos Ramirez, but fortunately, the people here don't seem really interested.

They must have erased the memories of a large number of people at Gravity falls , so a child with a laser sword fighting a sea monster must no to be so surprising to them.

"Thank you for your cooperation, miss. If you can provide us with more details about this story so that we can erase these painful memories of your son and the little girl in the photo..." The hooded man wanted to say more, but he was interrupted by a small explosion and a large amount of smoke that spread through the room.

"There's an intruder, catch him," the hooded man ordered the people around him, who quickly obeyed.

"Damn, it seems the sleeping gas isn't working. Oh, I've spoken too soon again," I said, emerging from my hiding place with a gas mask attached to my face.

I carefully approached the unconscious hooded man and removed from him the very reason for my presence here, "The Memory Gun".

I immediately began to erase the very notion of "The Blind Eye Society" and everything related to it from their memories, and of course everything concerning the photo Soos took of the accident on the lake island.

"Now, I have a little piglet to reset."

I left the history museum after dragging out all the former members of The Blind Eye Society and Soos's mother before leaving.

After a few minutes of jetpack flight, I finally reached Gideon's location, which was not far from where he does his show.

"Now, how do I get in?" I wondered, before shrugging and throwing the rest of my sleeping gas bombs through all the windows.

At worst, they'll fall into a light coma if they're exposed for too long, but their lives won't be in danger.

I waited a few seconds to make sure everyone inside was completely knocked out, and then I went in.

On the way, I proceeded with caution, as I currently had nothing really useful to confront a telekinesis user, and this is also the reason that pushed me to invent my sleeping gas bomb.

"It seems my plan has been a success."

I couldn't help but pronounce these words as I looked at the overweight child lying on the floor.

Who would have guessed that he would be the source of so many problems in this world?

"Should I really just erase his memory? Nothing tells me he'll be a good person after my passage."

Honestly, I've started to hesitate to simply erase his "Gideon" memories and everything related to the supernatural in him.

The reason is that despite his age, he has still committed a multitude of heinous acts that have led the world to apocalypse, and "Old McGucket" has still kept his kindness despite losing his memories.

So nothing tells me that his personality will remain intact despite the loss of his memories.

"Anyway, I'll have to get my hands dirty sooner or later," I declared, placing The Memory Gun in a compartment on my belt to take my Lightsaber .

"Sorry, Gideon, but I have better things to do than watch over you 24/7 after resetting you with The Memory Gun," I said, slicing off the sleeping child's head on the floor.

Strange, I felt nothing after decapitating him.

After receiving Dr. Vegapunk's essence from the online survey, I gained his scientific knowledge and intelligence, but also the ability of his devil fruit without any side effects.

All of this to say that Vegapunk has had his fair share of horror in the One Piece universe, but I didn't think it would affect me emotionally like the original Dipper Pines.

"After all, he was a collaborator of Caesar Clown, Queen, and Vinsmoke Judge. So yes, Vegapunk also has blood on his hands," I sighed, taking Ford's journal and the artifact for telekinesis before leaving the room.

After my "enlightenment" or "moral downfall", I eliminated all the inhabitants of the house to prevent possible revenge.

On the way back home, I had various thoughts in mind, not because of having killed Gideon himself or his relatives, but because of my questions about whether I was still really "me", a mundane person from Earth.

The reason that pushed me to think so much is that despite not feeling any emotion after my morally questionable act, tears were now starting to flow from my eyes.

"Dipper Pines, are you still there? Or do I now regret my former self," I muttered, frowning as I touched my face to wipe the few tears falling from my cheeks.

"I'll have to deal with my emotions someday," I said, looking at the full moon illuminating the evening as I fly over the forest thanks to my jetpack.

Dipper's POV

"Who wants Stan-style pancakes for breakfast?" Uncle Stan asked in the kitchen.

"What's special about the pancakes?" Mabel asked excitedly.

She must be curious, but she'll be disappointed soon.

[Breaking news, there were murders last night and the history museum was burglarized by an unknown individual...]

apart from talking about my infraction at the history museum, the local journalist also talked about Gideon's murder

"There have never been any murders in this town, at most just disappearances," Stan declared, turning off the TV before returning to the kitchen.

"Dipper, how about we investigate to find the culprit?" Mabel proposed, taking out a detective's magnifying glass from who knows where.

"No, Mabel, I have an appointment today, even if the people involved don't know it yet," I said, finishing my bowl of cereal bought with my own money, since Stan Pines is too stingy to buy me any.

Author's Note: Honestly, I didn't want Dipper to be able to kill Gideon, but leaving him alive involves too many unnecessary troubles for Dipper, and a friend of mine managed to influence me by giving good arguments.
