Chapter 18: Mabel vs. Pacifica and McGucket.

Author's Note: I was absent for almost 2 weeks (or more) due to an illness that struck me, but don't worry, as the chapters will be published more regularly this week or the next.

little note: I even felt like abandoning this fanfic , not only because of the recent illness, but also because of the loss of my drafts on my phone and PC, but ultimately I decided to continue because I don't want to abandon Dipper.

Mabel's POV.

After separating from Dipper, I found myself alone.

It wasn't like before when Dipper was busy with his strange activities since at that time, I had Soos, Wendy, and Uncle Stan with me.

And even after moving, I had GIFfany with me or Pacifica, so technically, I was never alone in Gravity Falls, but currently, I realize by observing around me that I don't really have many friends.

"Pull yourself together, Mabel, you're here to make friends, so precisely to solve this problem," I told myself, patting my cheeks to motivate myself.

""Hahaha,"" laughter resounded.

I turned around, slightly red with embarrassment, since the people laughing must have surely heard my self-motivating words.

"Sorry if our laughter embarrassed you, I'm Candy Chiu and she's Grenda," the girl named Candy introduced herself and her friend.

"We know everyone in Gravity Falls and you're a new face..."

"Wait, what's wrong with my face??" I said in a slightly panicked tone.

Candy Chiu was about to continue speaking, but when she mentioned my face, I was slightly panicked.

Dipper and GIFfany seemed to have been mistaken, my hairstyle or ribbon in my hair were surely strange, hence those words about my head.

"No, no, your face is fine. I just meant to say that you were a new face in Gravity Falls," Candy Chiu quickly explained to dispel the misunderstanding.

"You should avoid using weird words," Grenda said, caressing a lizard on her shoulder.

"You're right, sorry Mabel," Candy apologized.

"It's also my fault, I didn't let you finish your words and I panicked too quickly, haha."

I could only laugh nervously because of the misunderstanding I had caused due to my stress.

Although I already had friends at my school, I don't have "normal" friends my age in Gravity Falls, and yes, for me, Pacifica Northwest is not really normal given the fortune she possesses.

"Oops, I'm forgetting my manners, I'm Mabel Pines," I introduced myself.

I couldn't contain the excited smile on my face, I finally had people to spend the evening with.

"One, two, test, I have an announcement to make."

Soos said after turning off the music to read his speech.

"I just want to inform you that the person who can best surf on... what are those words? Never mind, will win this crown."

Soos showed a magnificently decorated crown at the end of his announcement.

I could hear murmurs of admiration coming from around me, and I can understand them since I WANT THAT CROWN.

"Interesting, a crown in this place."

It was a confident and very familiar voice to me.

"Pacifica," I couldn't help but call out to her when I saw her arrive next to Soos with some weird girls.

I didn't even know she would come, and it's excellent news since I can introduce her to my new friends.

"Huh, who dared to call me," she said, frowning before widening her eyes in surprise once our gazes met.

"Mabel..."

Dipper's POV.

After carefully considering, I decided not to rush into going to the future to steal their technology and knowledge.

Although obtaining the DNA of the time baby for the purpose of creating artificial devil fruits is truly an enormous temptation, I must be cautious with such powerful beings for now.

I still lack too much information on the impact of my existence in this reality or this timeline.

"I must be careful about my future objectives, and anyway, with this thing, the lack of time is no longer really a priority."

I couldn't help but smile while holding the time travel machine in my hands.

[Dipper, what should we do with this man? He can't stay here.]

Giffany's voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and I quickly used my amulet to transport Blendin Blandin into a trunk in the garage.

Of course, he was practically naked and tied up, and as a precaution, I used the memory gun on him to make him forget everything about me.

[Was the memory gun really necessary?]

I'm sure that from an outside perspective, my actions seem exaggerated, but after seeing so many stories like "Totally Spies," I know that one must always be cautious after capturing a target.

"You never know, Giffany, he could miraculously escape when I have my back turned."

To be honest, if I had brought my flashlight, I would have just shrunk Blendin, but unfortunately, I didn't bring it with me today.

After verifying that Blendin was still unconscious and properly locked up, I took the path to return to my post.

"The vote can finally begin."

Soos' voice resounded throughout the Mystery Shack.

"Applaud if you're for Mabel," Soos declared on the podium.

I could see and hear a lot of applause around me, it seems that the contest for the crown still took place despite the butterfly effects caused by my presence and Blendin's.

"Excellent, it seems that Mabel is clearly appreciated tonight, and now let's move on to Pacifica."

After hearing Soos' words, I quickly scanned my surroundings in search of a particular person.

I Found him .

I slipped through the crowd, which initially wasn't very motivated to applaud, but after Pacifica showed herself to be more "persuasive," they gave her as much enthusiasm as they did for Mabel.

"Sorry, old man, but you're coming with me," I said, using my telekinesis to capture Old Man McGucket.

I had almost forgotten that Old Man McGucket had normally participated in the party organized by Stan Pines.

It's really a rare opportunity to convince him to work for me and, as a bonus, I wanted to prevent him from being corrupted by Pacifica.

I know that Pacifica is different from the one Mabel first met in the canon story, but I prefer to just avoid unnecessary drama.

"Dipper!!" two voices I know too well resounded behind me.

[Honey, I think you're screwed],Giffany's mocking words didn't help in this situation.
