009 - Buy!

After the midnight incident, Evan thought that he will live the next few days in peace, but problems keep appearing nearby. Incidents related to wild magical beast keep popping up left and right. The incident takes place anywhere from the urban area to the forest around the city.

"Following the many incidents that happened in the last two weeks. The government has formed a new group to deal with magical beast incidents.

"The group will be called as Magical Beast Emergency Regiment.

"Magical Beast Emergency Regiment will have personnel from the police, fire department, and Mana Particle Research Bureau. The new regiment will deal with the magical beast incidents.

"Other than that, Mana Particle Research Bureau is also tasked by the government to look for a way to train magical beast.

"It has been known that human technology alone can't deal with rampaging magical beast. A trained magical beast is needed to stop it.

"In the near future, the Magical Beast Emergency Regiment will be equipped with trained magical beasts."

The television plays the morning news as Evan watches it while eating his instant noodle.

"Oh! They are starting to train magical beast?"

When Evan started to open the pet shop, he put a paper that states that he can train a magical beast. Not many people are interested in that, so Evan put down the notice. Looking at the news, this might be a good time to promote the training once again.

"But there is still a problem…"

Yup, Evan still doesn't have the place to train a magical beast. At first, Evan thought that he can train the magical beast here in the shop. But after pet supplies come and fill the shop, the shop looks a little cramped to train a magical beast. Right now, there is also the big machine from the government that uses a part of the room, making training impossible.

"If I wanted to train magical beast, I should buy the breeding facility. But it cost a lot of money…" muttered Evan.

"Let's think about that more when Ainsley comes. Let's see how much it cost… I need to open the shop for now."

Today is the day when Ainsley will come to the shop. Evan knows that Ainsley will ask about the decision on buying the breeding facility today.

"How is it? Do you want to buy the breeding facilities?" said Ainsley as he drink the water that Evan prepared.

Both of them have finished putting the regular pet supplies inside.

"I have tried to offer the breeding facilities to all people that I know… But no one wanted it," continued Ainsley.

"Actually, I am still interested in the facilities," answered Evan. "It is just a matter of money… How much is the facility again?"

"Around this much," said Ainsley explaining the price. He also talks about the detail of the breeding facilities, mainly the size of the facility.

Evan thinks that the price is lower than what he imagined. "It is not that high…"

"Yes, the owner wanted to sell this as fast as possible. Also, there is another thing that makes the owner lower the price." Ainsley paused a bit, "There are still a few pets in the breeding facilities. Because of that, there are still a number of staff working in the facilities. The owner wanted the buyer to also buy the pets and keep employing the remaining staff."

"Eh?"

Evan now understands why the owner sells the breeding facility at low prices. He also understands why even with the low prices, no one decided to buy it. Paying the salaries for a few staff will offset the cheapness of the place.

"How many staff are still there? I thought the breeding facility has been emptied?"

Evan thought that the breeding facilities has closed their business.

"I also thought the same when I offered the place to you. But it looks like, there are a few unsold pets and some pregnant pets still living there," said Ainsley apologetically. "And he said there are still four of the staff."

"Let me think for a minute…" said Evan.

Evan's purpose in buying the facility is because he will use it as a place to train magical beasts. An empty place is an ideal place for him. There is also the problem with employing the remaining staff.

But then Evan remembers that he will need someone to work in the pet shop. He definitely can't tend to the shop if he decided to start training a magical beast.

Now for the money to pay their salary. Looking at the profit from the pet shop, it is enough to pay five workers with an average salary. But as Evan still has to pay for the loan he took when buying the pet shop, the money might be a little tight.

"I think I will buy it…"

After thinking and considering many things, Evan decided to buy the breeding facility. The main reason is that Evan needs the place. The second reason is that there might be no other good chance to find something like this.

About the money… Well, Evan thought it is the time he promote the training of a magical beast once again.

"Wait for a bit, I will call the owner."

Ainsley operate his phone and called the owner of the pet breeding facility. After exchanging a brief greeting, Ainsley tells the situation to the owner. Not long after, the call is finished.

"Evan, the owner will come to this shop in an hour. You can discuss with the owner about the purchase."

Around an hour later.

A middle-aged man wearing a plain black t-shirt comes inside the pet shop.

"Welcome~" greet Evan.

"Hello, are you Mr. Evan Cross?" asked the middle-aged man.

Evan nodded and replied, "That is right, wait a minute, are you, Mr. Ryan Mason?"

"Yes yes, that is right! Nice to meet you… I heard from Ainsley that you wanted to purchase the breeding kennel?"

"That is right… But I heard that there is still some pet in the facility. I also heard that I need to retain the staff. Is that right?" Evan replied while bringing a plastic chair toward the middle-aged man. "Please sit here."

"Thank you," Ryan sit on the chair and said, "Yes, I haven't closed the business so it is still operating… Well, in the red. For the staff, I want you to keep employing them. Three of the staff still have no other jobs right now. I want you to at least keep them until they found a new job."

"Three?" asked Evan. The number is different from what Ainsley said.

"Yes, three people. It should—"

Evan cut Ryan and said, "I will take the breeding facilities. For the prices… I want to see all the documents, permits, and the finance report of the breeding facilities."

Ryan picks up all the documents from his bag. Both of them keep discussing the purchase until an agreement is reached.
