Controlling All Fifty-four Stars

The sound of lightning bolts filled the air at my command, I had to open my eyes and behold the magnificent views of purple lightning arcs that rose into the air.

The sky turned dark and everywhere turned purple as lightning bolts the size of a large python flew to the trees around and scorched the entire leaves of five large trees, drying them up immediately.

'Awesome!' I thought in satisfaction as I watched the lightning bolts keep flying around. "Stop!" I said and everything turned back to normal except the trees that had already been scorched.

"Man, you need to know how to use that or you'll end up turning both the innocent people dry like those leaves!"

I almost forgot that Ruben was beside me, I turned and saw him staring at me with a complicated look on his face. Luckily, he was fine or else. . . Hold on!

"Why is there a smoke rising behind you?" I asked as I noticed a line of smoke rising from behind him.

"Brat!" He scoffed and turned around. I gasped seeing that part of his clothes was burnt.

"How's that possible?" I asked, trying to hold my laugh.

"Should ask your lightning and not me!" He replied with a hiss. "Now, you distracted me already!"

"Sorry about that, I forgot that you were beside me all this while," I responded with a chuckle.

"Tsk! Whatever, man! I'm fucking starting all over again," he mumbled and sighed in frustration. He sat down back on the ground and crossed his legs after which he closed his eyes.

I suppressed my laugh and closed my eyes too, I had two more elements to control and there was no time to waste. If I can also control all three levels of both the fire and dark elements, it would be a great achievement for me.

"Forbidden level, ehh? I didn't know there was another level aside from these three levels. Anyhow, with time I'll find out but for now, I need to be happy about this success!"

It was almost an hour since I closed my eyes and decided to control the remaining two elements, I had successfully controlled the fire element without any effort but the dark element seemed very difficult for me.

At first, I thought I wouldn't be able to do it but at last, I was able to control the twelve stars successfully and after an additional thirty minutes, I controlled the other six larger stars. I was soaked in sweat but that didn't matter as I have finally gotten what I wanted.

"Bro, you almost shocked me to death with your yell," Ruben mumbled as he wiped his red eyes.

"Were you sleeping all this while?" I asked with raised brows.

"Of course, yeah! Or what should I be doing?" He asked in return.

"Huh? What about your element? I thought you wer—"

"Man, I tried to control at least the smallest six stars but they just wouldn't budge. I'm tired already," he replied with a tired expression.

I could understand how he feel, those stars are difficult to control and so they tend to revolt so that he/she will lose hope and stop. "But, you should try even harder. I've controlled all fifty-four stars meaning that I've reached the advanced level, you know why? Because I used my will as a demon lord, how about you do the same and see what will happen next?" I persuaded him. Judging from the look on his face, I knew he won't try again, at least not today, I just had to persuade him nevertheless.

"I know what you are thinking, but don't worry, I'll try again next time. But for now, I'm starving," he responded with a grin on his face. "It's someone who has enough strength that can control those stubborn stars not someone like me!"

"What about me? I haven't eaten as well," I replied, countering what he said.

"Young lord, we aren't the same okay? I love food, especially meats and I don't joke with my stomach so please do not compare yourself with me!"

Hearing what he said, I burst out laughing while holding my stomach, he too joined as well and we both laughed until we no longer had the strength to continue and then we got up.

"My stomach hurts like hell right now, how about we go have some fun? But first, I need to change this shirt," he spoke after he must have finished laughing.

"What fun? Tell me about it!" I requested as I gazed at him curiously.

"No, I won't! Just follow me, alright?"

I watched as he smirked and began to walk away, as curious as I am, I followed immediately. We passed my house and moved on to his own, his apartment wasn't big but it was better off than mine. He took his bath and changed his clothes, after which we left the house and strolled to the main road.

"Tell me where we are going and the kind of fun we will be having," I impatiently inquired as we were still strolling on the road.

"Relax, bro! Your blood keeps boiling and it's not good!" He chuckled with a smirk on his face. He hastened his steps and I had no choice but to increase mine as well.

Finally, we got to an inn and went in. The inn seemed full with so many customers trooping in and out of the place. Because of the tight congestion, it was difficult to find a table but luckily enough, we found one at the end of the place by the side of a window and then took a seat there.

"Can you now tell me?" I asked again. This time around, I couldn't hold it again.

"Chill, bro!" He whispered with a grin and turned to the waiter before us. "Two plates of rice filled with meat and two bottles of the finest drink you've got!"

"Okay!" The waiter replied and left our presence.

I turned to Ruben and saw him smiling, this made me even more curious about the whole thing. Soon, the waiter returned with the orders, she dropped the whole thing on the table followed by a paper.

"Ten silver coins, huh? Okay, we'll make our pay after eating," he said as he took the paper in his hand.

"Okay! Enjoy your meals then," she said and left.

"Ten silver coins? Do you have that kind of money because I don't," I whispered as the waiter left.

"Don't worry, let's eat first!" He whispered back.

"Bu—"

"Wow! I'm so fucking starving!" He interrupted me and began to eat.

I didn't wait to be told and began to eat mine, I was exhausted and hungry as well and so I devoured the food which tasted great, it just suited my taste because of enough quantity of pepper in it.

"I didn't know foods here taste this great!" I heard Ruben talk as he gulped down his bottle of drink. I nodded in agreement as I gulped down my drink as well.

"So what next?" I asked after we might have finished enjoying the food and drinks.

"We run!"
