"Thump, thump."

A crisp sound, and the egg cracked open on cue.

A nimble little paw peeled away the hard eggshell, revealing the tender flesh inside. The plump baby dressed in a red jacket opened her small mouth and howled, trying to stuff the entire egg into her mouth for a forceful gulp, but she was unsuccessful.

"Sister, you can't eat an egg like this, you'll choke." A pair of slightly rough but clean little hands reached in front of the little mouth preparing to swallow the egg and took the egg away.

The chubby baby looked up at the person snatching food from the cat's mouth, about to resist with her little brows furrowed, when she saw the rough little hands break open the egg and bring it to her lips, cajoling her with a coaxing tone, "Sister, eat."

"..." Fat Meow.

She leaned in with her little mouth and swallowed it in one gulp. While smacking her lips, she casually glanced at the human child feeding her, her little brows knitting into a small lump.

After sorting through these past days, she had come to understand her current situation clearly.

After choking to death on a chicken leg—of course, she refused to admit she had been caught stealing food and met her demise at the hands of fate—she had transmigrated into a book. A book where the world ultimately perished after the male supporting lead turned dark due to unrequited love for the female lead.

The three had a good relationship when they were young, but things changed after the male lead was recognized by his real family and the trio met again.

The Ruan Family became wealthy in the early nineties, and with her beauty and wealth, Ruan Jiaojiao became the epitome of a rich and beautiful woman.
