3 Chapter 3: Wind Caller Necklace

With that new revelation, I start to grin at the potential of my skills. With new energy coursing through my body, I start to hunt more rabbits. I walk to the nearby [Horned Rabbit] and cast [Ice Spear] and [Fireball] a second after casting the first spell.

Seeing the body disappear, I smile a little and open my inventory.

One [Horned Rabbit] gives me all the possible drops of the mob and twelve copper coins. That means one [Horned Rabbit] drops four copper coins. Hunting them ten times will give me one silver and twenty copper coins.

I smile at the thought of this. I quickly continue my hunt.

~Four hours later~

I grin a little at the sight of my inventory. For four hours straight, I only hunted the [Horned Rabbit]. Why? In one of the forums, I read that the rare drop of the [Horned Rabbit] can be used as a crafting material.

It can be used to create a Necklace, one of the four accessories players can take (unless they have a unique item to break that max number). That necklace is not useful to me, but I'm thinking of crafting, enchanting, and selling it in the [Marketplace].

What is [Marketplace]? It is a place where players can sell their items to the entire server. The [Marketplace] will take five percent of the price player set for the item being sold. Sadly, you need to pay them upfront, which is why many players think twice about selling some goods in the [Marketplace], as they can lose their money if the item they are trying to sell is not getting sold.

With my inventory full of goods, I quickly return to the city and go to the crafting house, where I can rent a private place to craft and enchant items. When I arrive, I can see a dwarf hammering what looks like a short sword.

When I get close to him, he looks at me and says,

"What do you want?"

"I want to rent a crafting room, master crafter."

"Hmph. Call me Bik, lad. Anyway, if you want to rent the crafting room, it will cost you twenty silver coins per fifteen minutes."

I think for a second and say.

"I will rent it for half an hour."

"Forty silver coins."

I nod and put my hand on the table. A second later, forty silver coins appear on the table. I get a lot of money from hunting all those [Horned Rabbit] for the past four hours. Thanks to [Midas Touch] and [Gaia's Blessing], I have enough resources to make and enchant the item I want.

"Go to that door, and you will arrive in your crafting room."

"Thank you, Bik."

"Think nothing of it, lad. Good luck"

I nod and walk to the door to my right. I open the door and walk through it. A second later, I'm inside an empty room. I can see an anvil sitting in the corner of the room and an enchantment table in the opposite corner of the room. Sitting in between those two is a brewing station if you want to create potions.

I walk to the anvil and sit next to it. A second later, I can see a list of items appear in front of me. Most of them are locked, but there are a few that I can craft. I ignore the other items and press the thing I want to make.

I press it, and an item appears on the anvil a second later. I pick it up and smile at the panel in front of me.

|Wind Caller Necklace| |Epic| |Low-Level Item|

|Level Requirement: 5|

[Stats Bonus: +10 DEX]

{Effect: 25% chance of gaining [Haste] buff when hitting enemy for 5 seconds (10 seconds cooldown)}

=||=

The +10 DEX is not really what makes this necklace great, but rather the 25% chance of getting [Haste] buff. [Haste] is a buff that doubles the player's DEX.

STR is the player's physical strength and the stat used to calculate damage if you use a close combat weapon. VIT is how much your Health Point is. INT is the stats used to calculate the damage you dealt to the enemy when you are using magic-related items like Magical Staff, Wand, Magical Orb, etc. WIS is how much your Mana Point is. As for DEX, it calculates how fast you move and how fast your attack speed will be.

While this necklace is not good for me, as I'm a mage, this item is perfect for any rogue player. This necklace is even more effective if you are a long-range player.

I take the necklace to the enchanting table and press the enchant button. I keep pressing the button until all my money is gone. Because of [Enki's Heir] skill, I have enough gold to reach the maximum level of enchantment. I cannot fail in this and waste my money.

I blink a little when I see a panel appear in front of me when I'm done enchanting the necklace to the max level enchantment.

|Congratulations! You are the first one to reach +15 enchantment in the entire server! Your name will spread across the world! You will now always start with good relations with crafter NPC around the world.|

|Do you want your name shown to the entire server?|

I quickly press the no button and see a notification appear in the global chat.

|Congratulations, player [???], for the first one to achieve max level enchanting!]

I can see three global notifications appear in the chat, and it was all because of me. I decided to ignore the chat and look at the necklace one more time. I widen my eyes when I see the new status of the necklace.

|Wind Caller Necklace (+15)| |Epic| |Mid-Level Item|

|Level Requirement: 15|

[Stats Bonus: +85 DEX]

{Effect: 25% chance of gaining [Haste] buff when hitting enemy for 5 seconds. (10 seconds cooldown)}

{Effect: 25% chance of making a double attack every time you hit an enemy. (2 seconds cooldown)}

=||=

The necklace has another effect! A chance to do a double attack is great! A basic attack is not great, but if, by chance, this effect is triggered when you cast a skill… that can do a lot of damage. Urgh. I want to use this necklace, but it is not good for mages. If that DEX switched to INT and the first effect cut my spell cooldown, that would be perfect.

With a heavy heart, I leave the crafting house and walk to the [Marketplace]. While walking to that place, I decided to stop at the General Store.

"Good day, lad! What can I do for you?"

"Do you accept goods?"

"That depends, lad. Show me your goods, and I will decide if I need them."

I nod and take out the rabbit meat and leather.

"Sure. I will take them. We need the leather. How about four copper coins for the meat and seven copper coins for the leather?"

"Are you robbing me? Ten for the meat and twenty for the leather."

"And now you are the one robbing me. Five for the meat and ten for the leather."

"Six and twelve."

"Deal. How many do you have? I will take them all."

I decide to sell all of them to the shop owner and get enough money for the [Marketplace]. After saying goodbye to the shop owner, I continue to walk to the middle of the city, where I see a massive building next to the awakening building.

It was a massive building with a symbol of a scale above its double door. I get inside the building, and I can see many people inside the building. I walk toward the receptionist and say.

"Good day."

"Good day to you, sir. Welcome to the [Marketplace]. Do you come here to sell or to buy?"

"Sell."

"Of course."

She nods and takes a card for me to take.

"Please take the door to your right. You will arrive in a private room so you can take the item you want to sell. Tap the card twice and place the item on the card when you are ready to sell your item. After that, you can go here and give me the card back with the amount of money shown on the card."

I nod and walk to the door a few meters away from me. When I open the door, I can see a small room with a coffee table and chair in the middle of the room. There is nothing else in the room. I sit on the chair and take out the necklace from my inventory.

I tap the card twice, place the necklace on it, and set the price for the necklace. It is on the higher end of the price, but I know the item will be gone in a few hours at most. Looking at the effect alone will make the high-level player salivate.

After doing that, I leave the room, return the card, and pay the fee.

"Now, what should I do?"

I think for a few seconds, and I decide to log off. I want to have some food before doing another hunt.
