Immediately after Oliver parted his lips, Liam pulled back slightly. Their faces were only a few inches apart, and they could feel each other's breath on their faces. Oliver was reluctant to open his eyes because he wasn't sure he wanted to see Liam's reaction. Was he back to his senses now? Did he regret what they had just done? His heart began to hammer in his chest. He wasn't sure if it was because of the kiss they just shared or because he was scared Liam would freak out.

He must have looked stupid just kneeling in front of Liam with his eyes closed, but he could not bring himself to move or open his eyes. He wished time would stop right there so he would never face Liam. But when Liam still didn't say a word or do anything, he figured he had to open his eyes and confront the situation.

Slowly, he opened his eyes and saw Liam's brown eyes staring at his face with a soft gaze.
