So Hee Finally Speaks Up...

Jun was going through the text on the screen of his phone, when Ray came into the class.

"You are early today…" He said.

Without taking out his head from the phone, he just gave a slight nod.

Keeping the bag at his desk, Ray came to Jun and sat on the next seat. "What are you reading in there?" He asked.

Jun quickly shut closed his phone and sat up. "Nothing. Not that important."

"Ohkay. If you say so.

The finals are next week by the way." Ray changed the topic.

"Yeah…"

"This year was a great one, wasn't it?" Ray asked.

"Hmm…"

"We all had so much fun. I bet the next year will be a blast too!" Ray was excited.

"Yeah…I guess…"

Ray looked at Jun and his plain face. "Jun?"

"Huh?" Jun looked at him.

"Is anything wrong? You don't seem like always. Is there something bothering you?"

"….Huh?....Oh No….Nothing's wrong. I'm fine…."

"You sure?" Ray asked again.

"Yeah…" Jun said while his fingers tightened the grip on the phone he was holding.

"I'm getting more and more worried guys…" April was talking with the girls. "I called her, she didn't pick up. I texted her, she didn't reply…I don't know what to do now…"

On that everyone went into deep thoughts.

"I'm thinking that maybe I should talk with Ray and ask him….or rather scold him for what he did…"April said being determined.

"No April. I don't think he is at the fault. You know how So Hee is, right? She just over-reacts at everything…" Ye Rin said.

"Or maybe she is just heart-broken…" Hana said.

Mia was listening to all this quietly.

Then suddenly, "Hey! Look! She is here." April exclaimed as soon as she saw So Hee walking towards them.

And without any further due she ran towards her to talk. "Hey….So Hee…" She said.

So Hee stopped. Her face was down.

"So Hee…" April said softly. "I know that you are going through a lot but I just want to tell you—"

But before April could finish her sentence, So Hee spoke up with a coarse voice, "I'm not in the mood to talk with you guys…."

And saying that she passed by her and entered the classroom.

April just looked at her friends and shrugged her hands as if saying, 'Did you see that?'

Mia looked at her and then towards the bench where So Hee was sitting with her head on the bench.

"See? She didn't even come to have lunch with us." April was complaining. "For how long she needs her "space"?" She sounded frustrated.

"Yeah…You are right…" Hana said. "The more she keeps it to herself, the more she suffers…"

'Huhhh….' Mia sighed inside. Now she was also getting worried by this behavior of hers. At first she thought that So Hee will return after she's left alone for some time but now it was getting over the edge now.

"I'll talk to her." Mia said.

"You sure?" April asked. "I mean, she didn't talk to me, her best friend! You saw that, right?"

"Yeah…But I'll figure something out…" Mia said.

So Hee was sitting on the bench in the front garden of the school, alone.

Her lunch box was on her laps, but not a single bite was taken by her.

She was just staring in the blank.

'Okay then…Here we go…' Saying this to herself, Mia stepped towards her and without saying a word she sat on the other end of the bench.

Snapping out from her thoughts, So Hee looked at Mia.

"How many times I'll have to tell you guys? I don't want to talk!" So Hee said.

"Who's here to talk with you?" Mia said as she held up the book in her hands. "I'm here just to read a little. The weather is nice today so I thought of outdoor reading."

"…." So Hee went silent as she didn't expect it.

"By the way…" Mia said. "I had brought yogurt today…"

So Hee didn't look at her but she was listening.

"…I've got one for you too." Saying that, she kept it in the middle of them.

So Hee looked at it from the corner of her eyes.

"It's Strawberry flavored. Your favorite." Mia said.

And with that, she put her head back in her book. Pretending to read it, Mia was peeking at the yogurt and So Hee's reaction.

After several seconds, So Hee said with a lower voice, "Is it Less Fat?"

"Yeah." Mia answered right away.

"Less sugar?"

"Yep. Just the way you like it."

Stretching her arm towards the yogurt, So Hee took it in her hands slowly.

'Yess!' Mia thought to herself.

Mia still didn't take out her head from the book and kept pretending to read it.

A couple of minutes passed and Mia heard something.

"…Ughh…..*sniff *sniff…..Uhm….uhm….*sniff…"

Mia quickly looked at So Hee and found out that the box of the yogurt was half finished, the spoon was still in her mouth but her nose was running and was red. Tears were flowing down her cheeks and had fallen down on her shirt.

'Huh?' Mia quickly slid towards So Hee.

"Hey. Hey. Hey…." She said as she put her hand on So Hee's back.

So Hee looked at her; her eyes all teary and her nose runny. She sniffed in.

"Miaaa….." And saying that she grabbed Mia's neck with both of her hands and hugged her tightly, "He rejected me, Mia…..He rejected me…."

With that she started crying loudly.

"Ohh…..So Hee…." Mia started caressing her back, "Don't cry….Oh…Please don't cry…."

"He rejected me….ME…..Choi So Hee…..Who does that Mia?"

"….." Mia just hugged her tighter to make feel her better.

"I really liked him….I really did….*sniff *sniff…"

"Stop crying…."

"…That's not the only thing….Do you wanna know the reason why he rejected me?" So Hee let go off the hug and looked right into Mia's eyes.

"Because he likes someone else!"

"W-What?"

"Yes! My reaction was just like you!

Can you believe this? I mean, he rejected me for another girl!

FOR ANOTHER GIRL!!"

'…Ray likes a girl?' Mia thought as her face darkened.

So Hee stood up and said, "I will find her!"

"Huh?" Mia looked at her shocked.

"Yes Mia! Ray would have thought that I'd forget about it and move on, but No! The time he told me he likes someone else over me….I have fallen for him deeper!"

"What?" Mia stood up next to her.

"Yes! And now I will find out who the girl is. I really wanna know my competition now…."

"….."

"I am in love with him now, Mia!

I don't care but I want Ray. AT ANY COST!!!

I'll prove to him that I'm the better option for him. Better that any other girl!"

So Hee said making a fist.

Mia was just looking at her fire spitting eyes and her determined face which was in a horrible state just a while ago.

'….She…She is in love with him...' She thought as her face turned pale.

"So then, I called her "A one horned baby rhino"!.....Hahaha…..You should have seen her face, man….It was really funny…"

Ray and Jun were standing in the hallways and Ray was telling Jun about his first interaction with Mia.

Though Ray told him this funny incident, Jun was lost deep in his thoughts.

Ray noticed it. "Hey buddy…." He tapped on Jun's shoulder.

"Huh?"

"I just told you something…It was funny, right?"

"Huh?....Oh Yeah….Yeah…." Jun said.

"Thanks bud." Ray said.

"….For what?"

"As now you know about me….and I like her….It feels so nice to talk with you about her….So…Thanks for listening…" Ray smiled and looked out the window.

Jun also turned back and stood beside him, looking out.

After staying quiet for some couples of seconds, Jun finally said about which he was thinking all this time,

"Why don't you confess your feelings to her?"
