Coming Back Home...

Jun took a deep breath as he saw the closed door before him.

Letting out the breath from his mouth making a cloud of steam, he took the steps towards it and knocked.

'Looking at the house, we really need to start decorating it today only…' Jun was thinking. 'Don't know what the situation is inside?'

'Knock Knock' He knocked again.

He could hear the hurrying footsteps coming towards him from the other side of the door. And within a second the doorknob got turned and the door opened.

"!"

For his surprise, Mia was standing at the door.

"Wha?" Jun's jaw dropped down as he couldn't believe the fact that Mia was standing before him.

She was just standing there expecting that he will come inside.

"Are you going to stand outside and freeze yourself or you want to come inside too?" Grandma's voice came from behind.

Mia turned back and found her standing at the door of the living room and looking at them.

"B-B-But…" Jun stuttered.

"And what's with that reaction?" Grandma walked towards them. "Mia is here. You should be happy. But you are looking at her like you saw a ghost!! Hahaha." She joked and laughed on it hard.

But she didn't get the similar reaction from Mia nor from Jun, which made her frown. 'What's wrong with these two?' She thought to herself.

Mia avoided the further conversation and went inside quietly.

Jun dropped his head in disappointment. 'I shouldn't have come here….I shouldn't have….'

"Come in Jun. What are you waiting for?" Grandma said as she looked towards Mia's back figure walking towards the dining area.

Jun got inside quietly and removed his shoes sighing to himself.

Grandma narrowed her eyes as she walked towards the kitchen, Jun following her.

While on the way, he peeked inside the living room, where he found Charlie sitting on the couch.

As he felt Jun's presence, he looked in his direction; he just wagged his tail a little but didn't get down to greet him.

Frowning to this Jun went towards the kitchen.

As he entered the kitchen, he saw Nana and Mia's mother working together at the counter.

"Oh Jun Sweety!" Mia's mother exclaimed as soon as she saw him. "You are here!"

"Come here my son…" Nana stretched her hands to call him closer. He went towards her and she grabbed his cheeks pulling them.

"Aaa!" He tightly closed his eyes.

"My cupcake!" Nana said as she let go of his cheeks. "Look how thin you have become. You don't even have cheeks to pull." She pouted on which Grandma and Mother laughed.

Jun rubbed his red cheeks as his eyes were teared a little due to it.

"I am so happy today!" Mother said. "As both of my kids are back home." She beamed a smile.

"Oh really? Are those the only kids you have?" Jina's cold voice made everyone look towards the kitchen door where they saw her standing leaning to the wall.

Folding her hands to her chest, she walked towards Jun.

"I thought you wouldn't come as Mia wasn't coming." She said.

"…."

"But look now. Not only you, but she is also here. Two days before!" The sarcasm in her tone was clear.

"….." Jun preferred to stay silent.

"Jina!" Mother said with a scolding tone. "You know that Mia is here till evening only. And Jun came earlier to help me. And you, who live here, don't do anything at all."

"What? Mom! My exams are right after the Christmas!" Jina complained. "And besides, yesterday I went and bought the Christmas tree. What else do you want?"

"Yeah. You bought the tree from across the street. Nice work my child. And what do I want from you? I want you to speak and behave nicely with Jun." Mother said.

"I do talk nicely." Jina pouted.

"You do. With others. But what happens when he comes here? I've never seen you talking properly with him."

"It's okay aunty." Jun said as he saw Mia's mother getting angrier at every statement.

"No it's not okay Jun. You are older than her. She should respect you, but what I see every time is she taunting you or teasing him."

"It's fine daughter…" Nana came in between to calm her down.

"Yeah. She is young now." Grandma said. "She'll understand soon."

"What is wrong with you guys?" Jina interrupted. "What did I say that you all are thinking like this?"

And saying this she ran out from the kitchen.

"Jina!" Mother called but no one answered.

But Mia came into the kitchen hearing that. "What's wrong mother?" She asked.

"That Jina!" Mother growled. "I don't know what I did wrong that she has become so arrogant?"

"Mother. Don't worry. I'll talk with her." Mia said and took steps towards her room where Jina had gone.

.

"Jina?" She called her name before entering her room.

Jina was sitting near the window. As soon as she felt Mia's presence, she quickly looked outside hiding her teary eyes.

"Jina?" Mia said softly as she went closer.

"…."

"What's wrong?"

"….Nothing…"

"….Jina…"

"I don't know okay? Mother is scolding me all the time. It's like she only thinks about you and cares about you. I'm sick of this; she comparing me with you all the time. I don't like that. I am not you. Why can't she understand that?" Saying that Jina finally looked at Mia; a teardrop slid down her cheek, she quickly looked down.

As soon as Mia saw that, she went and sat next to her at the window.

"Jina…" She said gently, keeping her hand on her shoulder. "I didn't know you were thinking that way….I'm sorry for that….And it's true. You are not me and I am not you!"

Jina looked up at her.

"I will never be like you. You are a great girl Jina. Do you know that? No one is like you. I've never seen a girl like you. So strong, independent and who's always firm on her decisions and her opinions."

Jina wiped her eyes as she was listening to her sister's words.

"I always wish, like it would have been so great, if I was a little bit like you!" Mia smiled and Jina's eyes teared up again.

"Really?" she asked.

"Hm!" Mia gave a firm nod. "You are one in a million my sister!"

On that Jina grabbed her sister and gave her tight hug.

Mia hugged her back, caressing her hair. "And about mother. She loves you as much as she does to me….But still I'll talk with her, don't worry…."

"That's not the only thing…."Jina said as she let Mia out from the hug.

"Then?"

"You and Jun oppa frustrate me a lot!"

"Huh?" Mia couldn't understand the context.

"Yes! You two are just so frustrating. Why don't you two, stop this all?"

"Stop what?"

"Stop being like this. Like you two are right now. Not talking with each other. Being awkward around each other. I don't like this at all."

"….How—"

"Now, don't ask me how I know about this? It's freaking obvious!"

"…."

"I don't know what has happened. And I don't wanna know. But just tell me one thing sis…"

Mia looked at her and found her staring right into his eyes.

"You two have been best friends for how many years? For your whole lives!!!"

"…."

"So do you really think that some issues small or big should be enough to break your lifetime friendship?"

"…."

"I have always seen you two together. You guys laughed, cried, bickered with each other but still, at the end of the day, you two are together standing strong like anything. And that's what I adore about you two."

"Jina…."

"Yeah. Though I tease you and him a lot…I don't mean anything from that….and most of the times, those things are just to make you realize the things which you two couldn't understand."

"…"

"And that's what I'm doing right now." Jina said as she got up and started walking towards the door.

"Just think about this once, sis. Don't you miss him?" Saying that Jina left the room.

Mia was left there alone with her thoughts and Jina's words.

"Miss him?" She asked to herself. 'I missed him. I missed him every single day…'
