A Stalker!??

The classes were over. Mia came out from the building of the college with a friend of hers.

"It's just the second week of the college and we have got 3 assignments to complete!!" The girl whined as she tied her long hair up in a bun.

"Yeah, I know." Mia said. "I've started working on the first one. It's better to start early because we don't have much time…..Hey Cho, about that power point presentation…Have you started your work on it?"

"Not yet! I haven't started a single thing….But now I really have to start with something…"

Talking about all these things, two of them turned their feet towards the dormitory.

"Hey Mia…" One other girl came from the direction of the dorm.

"Hey Aera…" Mia waved at her.

The girl came to them and said, "The washing machine is making some weird noises…"

"Is it?" Mia asked.

"Yeah, it is." Cho said. "In the morning, when I went to wash my clothes, it made some noises so I just turned it off. Took out my clothes and came to college. I thought, I'd tell the others when we come back."

"Yeah…" Aera nodded. "So I'm going to the maintenance guy."

"Oh Okay!" Mia and Cho said.

As they were about to go, Aera exclaimed, "Oh god!" She was looking behind them.

"Why? What happened?" Mia asked and as she was about to turn, "NO!!" Aera shouted. "Don't turn back."

"Why?" Mia asked, being startled by this.

"What is wrong Aera?" Cho asked.

Aera was still looking behind the two girls. She narrowed her eyes to see clearly and when she did, she said, "Yeah, that's him! That's him!"

"Him? Who?" Mia asked.

Aera finally looked at them and said with a hushed tone, "The stalker!"

"What?" Mia tried turning her head to look at him, but again Aera stopped her.

"I told you, don't look at him directly. Or he'll know that we know about him."

"But who is he? What do you mean a stalker? Is he stalking you?" Cho came up with a series of questions.

"No. He is not stalking me." Aera was still talking in the hushed tone. "But he is stalking someone from our dorm only."

"How do you know?" Mia asked.

"This is the third time, this week I'm seeing him." Aera said.

"Really?" Cho's eyes got big.

"Yeah. I once saw him from the window of my room; then the other day, when I was coming back to the dorm; and now. He just stands there and looks in this direction. Like, searching for someone."

"Ooooohhh…" Cho rubbed her hands. "I got goosebumps."

"Don't you think we should report him?" Mia asked.

"Do you think so?" Aera asked.

"Yeah. Totally." Mia said as she slowly moved towards Aera and started turning herself, so that she would be able to see the guy.

"To whom we should tell?" Cho asked.

"I think we should—" As Mia slightly turned her head to look at the guy behind Cho's head the words which were about to come out from her mouth just got stuck there.

And she just kept staring in the direction with her eyes wide open.

As soon as that guy noticed her, he quickly hid behind the nearby tree.

"What?" Aera asked. "What should we do? You were saying something…."

Slowly turning her eyes towards her friends Mia swallowed down.

Looking at her face, Cho bit her nails in nervousness, "W-What happened? Is he…Is he scary? Is he staring at us?"

"What happened, Mia?" Aera asked putting her hand on Mia's shoulder.

"There is no need to report him." Mia said.

"Why?" Cho asked.

"Because…I know him…"

"WHAT???" Both, Cho and Aera literally screamed as they were looking at Mia's embarrassed face.

"You idiot!!!" Mia's loud voice from behind, made Jun's head drop down.

'S***!' He swore to himself.

With angry steps, she came right behind him and putting her hand on his shoulder, she turned him towards her.

He was looking down, his right hand on his forehead and his left hand on his waist.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Mia asked with a frustrated tone.

Avoiding the eye contact with her, he looked up in the sky. His eyes; restless.

"You know what happens when a guy comes and stands in front of the girls' dorm?"

'….Oh god! I'm gone. I'm dead now.' Jun was thinking to himself as both of his hands went into the pockets of his pants and he started moving back and forth on his toes.

"Girls in my dorm are thinking that you are stalker!!! You idiot!!!" Mia's frustration was visible as her restless hands were rubbing her forehead.

"Tell me what you are doing here?" She asked again but Jun wasn't still looking her in the eye.

"Jun!!" Her firm voice, finally made him look at her. "What are you doing here? If you wanted to meet me, you should have called." She said. "Coming here like this. Not once…But thrice a week! And going without even meeting me. What is wrong with you?"

"….."

Looking at his sealed mouth, Mia took a deep breath and let it out from her mouth; trying to calm herself down.

"Jun…" This time, her voice was gentler. "Is something wrong? Why are you coming here and not meeting me? What happened?"

With that, Jun finally opened his mouth, "I...I am not here for you…."

"Oh really?" Mia folded her hands and looked at him, raising her eyebrows.

"Yeah…" He said avoiding her eyes.

"Okay….Then….why are you here? Are you really a stalker then? Are you stalking someone from our dorm?"

"Umm…Uhh…Yeah…I'm a stalker!"

"Oh! Okay!" Mia's this kind of reaction made Jun look at her confused. He thought, she'd get mad at him but she was looking really calm about this.

"Who is it then?" Mia asked plainly.

"Um…Y-Your friend…" Jun bit her lips. 'I shouldn't have said that! S***!'

"My friend?"

"Yes!"

"Which friend?"

"The one with you come today…"

"Ohh! Okay. So…Where did you see her first? For how many days you've been stalking her? Do you know her name? Do you know from where she is?" Mia fired a bunch of questions at him and he went totally blank.

"….."

"…Okay…" Mia said. "You don't know this. But you are a stalker, right? So just tell me one thing…What was she wearing, right now?"

"…..Ummm...Uhhhh..." Jun's nervousness was now at the peak. Not a single word was coming out from his mouth.

"She….Umm…She…."

"Enough Jun!" Mia said and Jun looked at her; to his surprise a gentle smile was spread on her face.

His jaw just dropped down.

"You don't have to say anything. I know you weren't here for her…" Mia continued, "Just let me tell you one thing…You can come and meet me whenever you want. And it's okay if you call me once in a while or reply me back once in 10 texts….It won't kill you to talk with me sometimes…."

"….."

Jun went completely silent after that, 'If you'd known the reason of my behavior, then you'd also want to keep distance with me….'

"Did I do something wrong?"

His eyes got filled with disappointment and his face darkened. 'No Mia….You didn't do anything….If there is anyone who's at the fault….then it's me….'

"Jun?" Mia asked as she noticed his face.

He looked at her in response.

"What is it? Is something wrong?" She asked.

He shook his head.

"So….Will you….Will you pick up your phone, if I'll call you?" She asked.

'I knew, this was gonna get hard when she would come here…..When she was there, it was easy to avoid her calls and her texts….But now….I really can't do this anymore….'

"…I will…" He answered with a gentle voice.

"Really?" Her eyes twinkled in happiness.

His lips curved up in a smile as he saw her face.

"Yayy!" She jumped happily.

"Don't get so jumpy." He said coldly. "I'll get your calls whenever I'll be free. Only and only at that time." He warned.

"That's fine with me. It's better than no calls at all!" She beamed a smile.

'Oh god!!.....Huhhhh…..' He thought. 'This is getting more and more impossible to me…'

"So? How's your training going on? Are you gonna debut or not? When will you sign your contract?" Mia brought out a whole new topic. She wanted to know more and more about her friend as she didn't know much.

"….You know, I can't tell you the details. It's confidential." He said.

She simply pouted and his heart melted. But he didn't show the traces of it on his face.

"But I can tell you one thing for sure…" He said as he brought his hand to his face and whispered to her, "The day when I'll perform on the stage as a celebrity is not far!"

Her eyes got wide in surprise. He simply winked at her with a smirk on his face and started walking on the foot path.

"Wait…Wait…" Mia ran behind him. He kept walking.

"Really?.....Is that for real?...." Mia was asking, walking fast; trying to sync with his pace. "Huh? Tell me….Please tell me…"

He didn't say anything but the smirk never left his face.
