Conversation with Yumei:

One day into the Treatment, Yumei came out and asked "Why did you get caught up in that trap even though I told you that the lock was being monitored?"

Bor: "I wanted to get caught up and be shot with the beam fast so that we can then deal with them peacefully. But who knew that the machine needs to be charged for a whole 3 minutes before shooting. Thanks to that we almost lost Sarada"

Yum: "Why don't you ask him to shoot you directly?"

Bor: "Like he'll listen to his enemy and say 'Okay, here comes the Beam' and besides I can't say that in front of our team."

Yum: "Wait wait wait!!! Why are you including me in the team?"

Bor: "What do you mean? You contributed and asked me to save that child. We worked together so obviously we're a team. Although they don't know about you since you're inside me it count's as a team. Anyway Thanks Yumei for helping me"

Yum: "Like hell we are. No matter how you view I'm not part of your team and I helped that child not you"

Bor: "Regardless thanks for the help friend. You do remember our previous chat about commands right."

Yumei said with a look of anger and a very slight fear "You're Blackmailing me. My cousin fed me to the a Fraud".

Bor: "What did you call me?"

Yumei didn't respond and just said after a few seconds "Anyway, don't run away now that your face has changed"

Boruto was visibly angry now that even she mentioned and asked "Why are you talking about that?"

Yumei said in a teasing tone "Just keeping up with the trend" and went back into his mind.

Boruto wanted to chase her in his mind space but he let her be because she helped and he didn't mind being teased as he thought he'll also tease her some times.

The most important thing after a mission is report. Report on how the mission was handled, what were the outcomes and such things in detail. This was supposed to be submitted immediately after the mission but since Boruto was injured only the preliminary report was submitted and the detailed report was kept on hold since it wasn't that important as everything was resolved and Darui has been captured.

Now after 3 weeks in the hospital, Boruto and his team was summoned to Naruto's office. He was standing with his team in front of Naruto and Shikamaru.

He was appalled at the amount of papers being reviewed by Naruto. It was like the whole room was about to be filled with papers if they did receive a few more papers. As he was looking around Naruto stopped reviewing his papers and said "Report" looking towards Konohamaru.

Kon: "Most of the mission was led by Boruto this time so I'll let him report this mission"

Then Naruto's eyes shifted to Boruto and said "Okay". Then Boruto started to list some details and said He bribed the electric office worker and got the info and watched the road towards the Building and said he noticed the child in the enclosed cart. Then he said they made a plan to sneak in but got caught and he forgot to take bombs and then about the fight and the aftermath was explained by Konohamaru.

Shikamaru said with a bit of a teasing tone "I haven't received a report with soo many holes in recent times" and asked "How did you bribe the electricity officer? I don't think we've sanctioned any funds to you."

Boruto said "I stole it from a rich lad" without batting an eye.

Shi: "Interesting. How did you know that electricity consumption would be high"

Bor: "It's basic science for something to change drastically it needs to be volatile. DNA's are soo strudy so I thought it would take a lot of energy of some kind to make it volatile and willing to merge."

Shi: "Good. Why did you lie about a child being in the Cart?"

Bor: "I thought so because no one knew what was in the cart and sedation has a time limit so I thought he wouldn't bring the humans or children in this case to the test location only a few hours before the test. Besides that, that cart was only seen during the evening time by traders hence I concluded it was safe to assume and lied to my team to push forward the operation and to save that child."

Mitsuki and Sarada were surprised to know that he was lying about seeing the child. The fact that Boruto noticed a child in a completely enclosed cart was overlooked by their trust on Boruto. Boruto couldn't say about Yumei so he made up these things as lies. Konohamaru didn't really show any expression and kept on listening calmly.

Shi: "Fine, then why did you not take a single bomb. It's customary to be equipped with at least 1 bomb when planning with bombs"

Bor: "I forgot. I thought it would be a good idea to use a bomb but forgot that I don't have it at the moment."

Shi: "Then why did you cover Sarada from the reactor beam. You both could've turned into something inhuman if something went wrong."

Bor: "I covered her as her teammate and friend. Since, I'm the one who rushed the mission I thought I should be the one to take the beam if it shoots."

Shi: "You seem well prepared for the answers"

Bor: "and You seem unprepared for the questions"

Shikamaru was surprised at Boruto's retort. He wasn't one to retort to him usually. There were too many things odd with Boruto as if he's changed. Previously Boruto was not so smart, misleading, liar, assumption based guy. Now in this one mission he stole, he lied to his team, he jumped to conclusions based on assumptions, and most of all he was too intelligent in dealing with the mission. Nothing was similar to the Boruto he knew.

Naruto said with a solemn voice "Good Job and your team is grounded for next 2 months"

Boruto and Sarada were shocked and cried out "Why?"

Naruto said "Your team rushed the mission endangering teammates, and Boruto here lied, assumed and was foolish enough to stand in front of a beam which could harm both of you and he even stole money. Wasn't that enough for a 2 month suspension?"

neither could retort. Naruto then said "You guys can leave. Konohamaru stay". Then Boruto, Mitsuki and Sarada left. Naruto then asked Konohamaru "Why didn't you stop him when he was lying about the child?". Konohamaru noticed that Boruto was lying when he saw the place where Boruto kept a watch it was too far and the cart was enclosed to notice that there was a child inside. Despite that he didn't say anything.

Kon: "He suddenly started being smart and I felt like watching him. And the child was there anyway so I didn't bother him".

Naruto said "You may leave" and Konohamaru left the Office. As he left Naruto asked Shikamaru "What do you think?".

Shi: "He certainly changed. And that mission was a record of what not to do in a mission. Thievery, Lying to team, Assumptions and Foolish pride in the end. It felt like Boruto has changed completely. Till now Boruto felt like you, a bit foolish and now he resembles Sasuke, a smart and selfish kid."

Naruto said with a solemn expression "Whether that is good or bad remains to be seen."

Shi: "Wouldn't it be fine. He stood up for Sarada in the end, so he probably won't runaway."

Naruto just nodded and didn't add anything else.
