Since the incident happened, Mackie had tried his best to avoid Annabel by not coming down for breakfast and dinner. He always ask that it be sent up by calling in sick. Nowadays he even ignored Paya's constant calls and messages. 

  He was still confused and angry with himself. 

  He raised his head a bit from his meal to stare at Annabel over the dinning table and he could notice something was different about her but what. He took his time to examine her well.

  His eyes drifted down to the metal shining in his face.

  Mackie stared at the golden necklace sitting on Annabel's neck and his anger started to increase. He was sure that Alac had gotten it for her but why. Even though he knew he had no right presently to query her after what happened, he still felt the great urge to lash out at her.

Was she that cheap? Cheap enough to get easily swayed by his Brother, cheap enough to get won over by material things.
