It was such a simple kiss. Maria just glued her lips to Alaia's. Then, after two long seconds, Maria stepped back from Alaia as she blinked her eyes open and stared at Alaia who still had her eyes closed, expecting to see some miracle since that's what she'd been told. That Alaia will return to being a human when Maria kisses her. But nothing happened, or at least that's what she wanted Alaia to believe for now. Maria watched Alaia's head, including her eyes, nose, and lips shrinking to their normal sizes. The shape of her eyes became almond again. Her nose became small and pointed. Her eyebrows became thinner and her lips became luscious again as their natural pink color returned. Her limbs became shorter and the hair all over her body disappeared. She had returned to her original height and body proportions. Her womanly features returned as her clothes silently shredded into pieces and fell to the ground in slow motion.
